(I have never seen it before, thanks for posting it 😊).
BTW I've never been into playing music. And I was lucky to grow up in a home with very open-minded parents. But on a symbolic level I can identify with it-- some very deep symbolism there.
It’s from the Tenacious D movie The Pick of Destiny. There are few comedies that I will watch more than a couple times, but this one I could watch any time. It’s hokey but it cracks me up every time (like Dumb and Dumber does). This is my other favorite scene from Pick of Destiny:
That song I never cared for. And I do like Paradise by the Dashboard Lights but my favorite part of that song is the end where he's praying for the end of time
For those of us old enough to remember, and for those of you who aren't. This may be the best song by the Jefferson Airplane, from their amazing 1967 album "Surrealistic Pillow". They were my favorite group when I was a teenager in the 60s. They might still be.
Butchering his name? He typed Addy instead of Aday. Good grief man, turning a typo into an issue of disrespect is quite the stretch. Especially when you accuse SP of disrespecting Meat Loaf in a post where he wishes R.I.P. and links in a video in tribute.
Instead of turning a nit-picky typo into a point of contention maybe consider respecting Meat Loaf by listening to the video and commenting on the loss of a great entertainer. Or maybe the tragedy of yet another individual dying of COVID who publicly refused to take precautions. You know, something of value instead of picking a fight over a typo.
Another great tune from the 60s. A live version of Dino's Song by the Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Monterey Pop Festival, 1967. John Cipollina, the lead guitarist, was one of the best players ever. Real loud, too, if you ever saw him perform. I did. He died at age 45, way too young, from a life-long problem exacerbated by smoking.
GIRL WATCHER - The New Summer Fun Project
OUR WINTER LOVE - Bill Pursell
LOVELAND - Charles Wright and The Watts 103rd St. Band
Meatloaf died today at 74. RIP Michael Lee Aday...
Louis Anderson also died today. I’m feeling old now.
Aww. I don't think I ever knew his real name.
RIP
My favorite Meatloaf acting scene:
Wow-- fantastic video!

I never understood it. Haha
It's about getting lucky in the front seat of a car
I got that one..Haha
I didn't get the do any thing for love but won't do that...
What won't he do...
oh...sorry LOL
Yeah, what won't he do? That's why I don't like that song. It makes no sense
He won't cheat.
Is that what he meant?
Still doesn't make any sense to me. I would do anything for love but I won't cheat...
I’ve been on a Carsie Blanton kick lately.
Helen's Theme by Philip Glass from the Candyman soundtrack. It's such a beautiful piece of music...
Bear McCreary - All Along the Watch Tower from Battlestar Galactica S3 soundtrack
I loved the part where The Five are walking thru the ship and each of them are uttering a phrase of that song
Yeah, that was a great bit of writing and very well done.
LOVE SONG - Lani Hall
One of my favorites of all time because it has Niedermayer
Acid Reign cover of Suzanne Vega's Blood Makes Noise.

Jefferson Airplane Forever!
That used to be one of my favorite albums back in the day. Long time ago...I had in on vinyl (as did everything else I bought back then).
It was definitely one of my favorites. I still have the original vinyl from when I got it in 1967-68.
I have a soft spot for what I call the Vietnam era music.
There was some great music that came out of those times. The 60s were the best.
Rest in Peace Michael Lee Addy
Who the hell is michae lee addy?
i assume you’re talking about marvin lee aday.
Michael Lee Aday is also correct (as of 1984 ... legal name change).
Yep, that’s not what i’m talking about. Nothing says respect and “rest in peace” like butchering the hell out of the deceased's name.

One of my favs from long ago......

Long hair don't care...
The grumpy looking parents in the audience at the beginning cracked me up...
Since I am having a lot of fun with this, here is another one. A great, great tune by a great, great 60s group, Spirit. My favorite song by Spirit.
You got me thinking now. I was a teenager in the early eighties. I am a gen X er.
At that time there were two very popular groups around the Baltimore area.
The Ravyns and Crack The Sky.
Did you ever eat at the Paper Moon Diner?
When my girls were going to school in Baltimore, that was one of their favorite haunts.
Not that I can remember. By my teenage years were had moved farther out.
When I was really young we lived in Washington State.
Playing for Change with the classic ''All Along the Watchtower.''
I really enjoyed that.
Thanks.
Short musical theme songs from TV:
And two from movies:
Just really fine musical interludes.
You should interrupt a conversation and play one to stop a long conversation or a slap fight.
We interrupt this convo for a short interlude. Please enjoy the facilities while listening.
We will return shortly.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of the show.
Great idea!!
