Two Old Fat Guys Have Opinions About AOC
Misogyny? On Fox? Yer kidding.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Adam Carolla and Sean Hannity discuss whether anyone really listens to fat women in their 60's. I resemble that remark, but anyway, what they really want to do is introduce the term "AOC" into their conversation, because it helps their viewers salivate with hate and lust at the same time.

Adam Carolla calls it a "thought experiment" as if he is capable of either. Transcript via Media Matters:

ADAM CAROLLA (GUEST): Here's a quick thought experiment: if AOC was fat and in her 60s, would anyone listen to another thing she ever said?

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Oh, boy. You're going to step in that one. What do you -- what exactly do you mean by that? You mean, is it because she's young and -- what?

CAROLLA: Yes, she's young, she's vibrant, she's beautiful, and everyone's always putting a camera and a mic in her face. But her opinions are idiotic 95 percent of the time. And I don't think, if she was a middle-aged heavyset woman, anyone would care what she had to say.

HANNITY: I'm not so sure I agree. Now, I will say this: you can criticize her ideas -- and I do, I think the Green New Deal is madness and insanity -- but she's got the whole Democratic Party following her. In my opinion, she's way more powerful than Speaker Pelosi. And if she and the squad decide Speaker Pelosi's out, I think she could probably be speaker. If she challenges Chuck Schumer in New York, I think she has a good shot at beating him. Maybe I'm wrong.

CAROLLA: Look, I agree with you. I'm just saying, if she was fat and old I don't think TMZ would be chasing her around with a camera.

I could put a bunch of tweets here slamming both of these old fat white guys, but Digby said what needs to be said:

He may be right. But how do we explain that people are listening to him? https://t.co/TcYqZY5YwQ

AOC will be a star when Corolla and Hannity are long dead and gone. She has political charisma.

Oh. AOC has loads more followers, I am sure.

BTFW, what the FUCK does MTG have to do with anything?

Is she just a convenient alternative to the usual "But TRUMP" bullshit?

You nailed it.  “But MTG”. “But Boebert”  is their congressional variant of the “but Trump” TDS.

She is a brain dead idiot; that couldn't cut it as an internet content creator. So opted to become a Democrat in an uber radical district that isn't smart enough to know when they are being fleeced. Or as Pelosi put it,  "In a district that a half filled glass of water with a D on it could get elected".

I am sorry, I left out she isn't nearly beautiful enough to be an internet content creator. Sooner or later that jackass grin would come out; and every last male follower would drop her in an instant.

You forgot that AOC single handedly prevent Amazon from building a regional headquarters in her district because she was worried about the tax break they would receive. She stupidly thought that by blocking Amazon the city and state would save 6 million dollars that could be spent elsewhere. Can't fix that type of stupid. Amazon did opt for a much smaller footprint in NYC; and definitely not in her district.

With stupid like that her constituents deserve everything that they get. Or this this case don't get in the form of high paying Amazon executive jobs- and all of that money which would flow into local businesses, housing/apartments, and of course tax dollars.

I don’t know why anyone thinks this qualifies as misogyny, unless they just don’t understand the word.

“Pretty Privilege” is a real thing and it’s not misogyny to observe that AOC might be benefitting from it. The group in Congress known as “The Squad” has six members, and AOC is but one of them. They have similar politics and say similar things, but I would bet that AOC gets more media coverage than all the rest of them combined. It’s not unreasonable to ask if part of the reason for that might be because she is just better looking than the rest.
