Civilization's greatest threat

Civilization's greatest threat
“At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful.” Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says wokeness and political correctness is “arguably one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.” The billionaire entrepreneur made the comments during an appearance on The Babylon Bee podcast.

Last week Elon Musk bought 9% of Twitter's stock, making him the company's biggest shareholder. Twitter immediately put him on the board of directors, which effectively prevented him from launching a hostile takeover of the company.  Musk was regarded as a direct threat to the elite authoritarians in charge of social media. It may turn out to be a victory for free speech.

"In an interview this week, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that wokeness “wants to make comedy illegal” and gives “cruel” people a reason to be hateful.

Musk made the remarks in a one hour and forty-minute interview  with The Babylon Bee, where he discussed wokeness, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D), the Metaverse, taxing the rich, and more with CEO Seth Dillon, Editor-In-Chief Kyle Mann, and Creative Director Ethan Nicolle.

“Generally, I think we should be aiming for, like, a positive society, and it should be okay to be humorous,” Musk said in the interview.

“Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal, which is not cool. I mean, [Dave] Chappelle? Like, what the f***? I mean, trying to shut down Chappelle? C’mon man. That’s crazy."

“Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate, basically?” Musk asked.

“And no forgiveness,” Dillon added.

“Yeah,” Musk nodded in agreement. “At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a reason – it gives them a shield to be mean and cruel armoured in false virtue.”

The Week:

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to the Supreme Court yesterday by a Senate vote of 53-47. She won't be on the Court until Justice Breyer officially steps down this summer.

The Hunter Biden case continues to be in the news after both the New York Times and Washington Post finally admitted that the laptop story was true. It has been a year and a half since the New York Post first reported on it.

Governor Abbott unveiled a plan to bus illegal migrants to Washington DC after the Biden administration bused and flew thousands, maybe millions of unvetted illegal immigrants to American cities & towns around the country in the dead of night for over a year.

May 23: Is the day when Title 42 will no longer be enforced by Border Patrol. As if Joe Biden hasn't brought enough illegal migrants into the country, May 23 will mark the watershead moment when America really is transformed.

Significant losses: "Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that Russia had sustained "significant losses" in Ukraine, which its troops entered on Feb. 24 in what it calls a "special military operation".   https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2022-04-07/kremlin-says-russia-has-suffered-significant-losses-in-ukraine

Ivanka Trump
voluntarily testified before the January 6 select committee for eight hours on Tuesday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19, a day after appearing unmasked at a White House event with President Joe Biden."

What have we learned?

First, we learned what we kind of already knew. The msm buried the Hunter Biden laptop story in October of 2020 so that senile Joe Biden could win the election. Now they admit it. What I want to know is where are the 51 former "intelligence officials" who called it "Russian disinformation" at the time?

Second. We had a stormy few days over things like terms and intent. Does anyone understand the difference between showing a portion of a film and actually doctoring it? I wonder what Fox News would think of a front page story claiming they doctored a film of Obama dissing Biden?

Inspirational message of the Week:

FPyaL0UXoAIevrb?format=jpg&name=small

Honorable Mention:

First is Elon Musk for standing up to and calling out an evil ideology.

Second is f ormer three-term New York Gov. George Pataki for leading a delegation to provide humanitarian relief to 200,000 Ukrainian refugees.
Pataki is a relic of the New York that was home to what once was the world's greatest city.

George this is dedicated to you and one other here:

The complaints about "free speech" being squelched by twitter are all bullshit. The free speech the complainers want is the freedom to lie, spread conspiracies, voice white supremacy, and bamboozle millions the way Trump did on twitter for years.

  • Why has Trump's Twitter account been banned? - The US Sun

Jan 09, 2021  · TWITTER has banned President Donald Trump’s account, citing   “the risk of further incitement of violence” following the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol.   But the US leader's fuming son, Donald Trump Jr, slammed the move, saying that "free speech no longer exists in America. It died with big tech."

Are you nuts?

The reason Trump was banned from twitter after Jan 6 2021 is a known quantity, not a game of "telephone". Twitter announced why he was banned and it had to do with him continuing to claim the election was fraudulent even after Jan 6th, and it had to do with him making a video on Jan 6th telling the Capitol rioters that the election had been stolen from them and they should remember this day forever. He was talking about a day of violence that injured hundreds of people.

He wasnt banned from twitter for talking about the so called Russia hoax. He had done that for years on twitter already.

So it was edited.  Like many videos that appear in the news.  CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC, CBS, NewsMax, and the rest, they all do it.  But for some reason THIS on has your panties in a wad.  I call that selective outrage.

He also has the cognitive ability of an Alzheimer's patient.  How many times has Peppermint Patty had to get up there at a press briefing and explain away his comments?  But you seem to want to ignore that.  Come to think of it, there is a lot you seem to ignore.

At least he hasnt tried to overthrow his own government.

The full video completely refutes the Fox News suggestion that Biden was dazed and confused. In the first instance , he wasnt lost, he was looking for someone , a specific person, and in the second instance he wasn't sheepishly hiding behind Obama, he was waiting for the opportunity to tell Obama he had someone he wanted him to meet.

The fact that you people want to keep relitigating this is bizarre.

Then I think he should prove it by sitting down to a live interview with someone from the "opposing" side like Fox News for an unscripted interview.  That would provide definitive proof that he is or is not mentally as sharp as Trump.

You mean Fox televised those portions of the film that seemed to show that Obama dissed Biden?  Or that Obama was the center of attention?

I would say the former is debatable and the latter is a certainty.

As far as I'm concerned the film was not "doctored." One could show any portion of that film to allow people to draw their own conclusions. Anyone is free to go get the entire film.
