Probably the greatest Concert Movie ever recorded. The Band and the ''The Last Waltz'' This is a clip/song ''The Weight'' from the concert/movie.
Yes ! The best musicians of the time were in that film. Classic.
1976 The Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. I was there and it is the greatest concert I ever attended. Dylan, Clapton, Muddy Waters, The Staple Singers, Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell just to name a few.
What a fabulous experience that must have been !
What a great concert and movie. I've never known anyone that attended. Where you for the dinner and dancing before the concert? That must have 8-9 hours. With the small audience, you must have had a great view of the stage.
It was fantasic.
Did some dancing but no food. I spent most of the time before the concert kinda backstage. I went with a friend that was a fairly well-known musician at the time so she and I had a bit of a different experience than most that bought tickets. I know that I sure did.

EVERLASTING LOVE - from Belfast
WILD MOUNTAIN THYME - from Wild Mountain Thyme
You could make an argument that Everlasting Love is the most successful pop song of all time. Various versions of it have hit the weekly TOP TEN in every decade since the 1960's.
