WATCH: Biden confuses Ukraine with Russia, Zelenskyy with Putin during gaffe-filled trip to Lithuania
President Biden appeared to confuse Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Vladmir Putin and Ukraine with Russia during his trip to Lithuania this week.

President Biden committed multiple speaking gaffes during his trip to Lithuania this week to shore up support for Ukraine amid its war with Russia, including confusing the two nations, as well as their leaders.

President Biden committed multiple speaking gaffes during his trip to Lithuania this week to shore up support for Ukraine amid its war with Russia, including confusing the two nations, as well as their leaders.

While speaking to the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania on Wednesday Biden referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "Vladmir," seemingly confusing Zelenskyy with Russian President Vladmir Putin.

Appearing to not realize his mistake, Biden went on to say he "shouldn't be so familiar," and referred to Zelenskyy as "Mr. Zelenskyy."

Putin and Zelenskyy each hold a different version of the same name, with "Volodymyr" being the most commonly used version in Ukraine.

At a later speaking event following the summit, Biden confused the two nations, referring to Ukraine as Russia.

"Russia could end this war tomorrow by withdrawing its forces from Ukraine and recognizing its international borders and ceasing its attacks - its inhumane attacks - on Russia - I mean by Russia on Ukraine," Biden said, correcting himself.

The gaffes are just the latest in a string of near-constant fumbles by Biden, including last month when he told reporters Putin was "clearly losing the war in Iraq."

They've also led to frequent questioning of Biden's cognitive abilities as president. Should the 80-year-old win a second term as president, he will be 86 when he leaves the White House.

Just another day in the Biden presidency. How many more blunders before those who want him off the ticket start to really push?

The other thing is what Zelensky really means to the Biden policy makers.

I'm wondering how Zelensky feels about the democrats in charge?

Wow.

Do you really have nothing better to do than concentrate on such trivia?

I know you want the traitor to get back in office , but seriously, you have to do better than this.

Biden would have to live to be 500 to top this -

During his July 4th speech, President Donald Trump says American forces “took over the airports” during the US War of Independence in the late 18th century. Of course, as many viewers noted, airports––and military airplanes––are a 20th century invention. Jul 5, 2019

Yes John, I recall that. Obama said that Abraham Lincoln formed the GOP.

They all make gaffes, but clearly Joe Biden is in the late stages of cognitive decline. That is most likely why he refused to take the cognitive test that President Trump willingly took (and Aced!)

You are hilarious.  Although Lincoln did not form the Republican Party he was the first politician from that party that most people from the 21st century recognize.  That gaffe is not even close to being on the same level as Trumps gaffe about airports in 1776.

Correct. While I might excuse the guy next store for such an easy mistake, I'd expect a Harvard Graduate with a fully functioning brain to know the difference.

And Joe is absolutely in the late stages of cognitive decline. That is why Joe won't be debating anyone who can complete a sentence.

I'm sure most people can see it. What is interesting is to see people try and defend it.

WTF are you talking about?

Where did Vic state that China paid millions to rig the election?

Do you even follow the news at all? Have you even followed a single one of the Republican investigations into the Biden family foreign money laundering? All of the LLC's they have set up to hide the transactions? The House fight to get the banks to release the transactions that were all flagged as being suspicious?

https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-reveals-biden-family-members-receiving-payments-from-chinese-energy-company%EF%BF%BC/#:~:text=Afterwards%2C%20the%20Biden%20family%20received,Comer%20(R%2DKy.)

Notably, on March 1, 2017, less than two months after Vice President Joe Biden left public office, State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese company, wired $3 million to Rob Walker’s company. The next day, the company wired $1,065,000 to a company associated with James Gilliar, another Biden family associate. Afterwards, the Biden family received approximately $1,065,000 in payments over a three-month period in different bank accounts. From the bank records, it appears that the Biden family received approximately one-third of the money obtained from the China wire.

Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden were paid some $4.8 million from CEFC China Energy between 2017 and 2018, according to prior reporting on Hunter’s abandoned laptop. The Oversight Committee notes that on Nov. 9, 2015, Robinson Walker LLC wired $59,900 to one of Hunter Biden’s accounts and another $59,900 to Gilliar’s EEIG account.

Members of President Biden’s family may have accepted in excess of $40 million from foreign nationals in exchange for favorable policy decisions, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer suggested Wednesday.

The Kentucky Republican said that his panel has identified “six specific policy decisions” where Biden, 80, took actions that indicate he may have been “compromised,” during an appearance on John Catsimatidis’  “Cats & Cosby Show” on WABC 770 Wednesday.

Comer noted that of the six policy decisions, four of them “were made while Joe Biden was president early on — [where] we cannot come to any other conclusion as to why these decisions were made, other than the fact that this president is compromised .”

“This was organized crime. There’s no other way to define it,” Comer alleged.

The Oversight Committee chairman explained that as recently as “in the last five days” his panel has obtained banking statements and suspicious activity reports that show “more bank accounts, more shell companies and more Bidens” being involved in the family’s overseas influence peddling scheme.

“We’re going to try to determine how much money the Bidens took, and what role Joe Biden played in all of this … It’s a huge puzzle,” Comer said of the GOP-led committee’s investigation.

You must be one of those that think Hunter's butt ugly art pieces are really worth $75,000 to $250,000 each; and that the gallery that is selling them won't release the purchasers names in order to protect them. After Brandon promised that Hunter wouldn't associate with those that bought his artwork and wouldn't know who purchased them.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was grilled in her daily briefing Thursday on the sale of first son Hunter Biden’s paintings after the art gallery said he would be meeting in person with potential buyers, raising ethical questions about possible influence-peddling.

The arrangement conflicts with a promise from the White House that the buyers of Hunter Biden’s artwork would remain anonymous and that the gallery owner would not inform President Biden’s son who purchased the paintings — pieces that could fetch up to $500,000 each.

But CBS News reported that a spokeswoman for Georges Berges Gallery said Hunter Biden is expected to attend a private event in Los Angeles and at a larger show in New York where he will mix with prospective buyers.

“He’s looking forward to it. It is like someone debuting in the world. And of course he will be there,” Robin Davis said.

Brandon is guilty of the very things Democrats tried to hang on Trump and his family.

What amazes me though is all those who will tear Biden apart on every mistake (even the trivial ones) yet would vote for Trump after he attempted to steal the 2020 election while ignoring his constant barrage of lies (like he would end the Ukraine war in 24 hours or that the PRA gives him the authority to hold classified documents).

The lack of objectivity in partisans is striking.

Go nuts that Biden started to say Vladimire instead of Volodymyr (correcting himself immediately) yet no concern about Trump still claiming he won the 2020 election and that he could end the Ukraine war in 24 hours.

True, I do not support Biden.   He is too old to be PotUS and I am very concerned that if reelected he will not be able to finish his term and that would lead to a president Harris.

And I do not think 'dislike' accurately expresses my position on Trump.    I am fully convinced by his actions that Trump should never hold public office, much less the presidency.   It is irresponsible, irrational and unpatriotic for us to allow that to occur.

To wit, my position on Trump is not about whether or not I like him (I do not like him, I think he is an asshole) but rather his abysmal character and the demonstration that Trump will indeed abuse the powers of the presidency for his own personal gain and will put his own personal gain above the needs of the nation.

Stated differently, I could see myself voting for a flaming asshole for PotUS if I believed said asshole would be a good PotUS.

Biden always stuttered and misspoke and been a bit doddering yet was also always dependable as both US Senator and Vice President. He has lead us out of Covid and managed to avoid a recession that was assumed unavailable. He has lead the West and Europe against Putin. Joe got a budget and his infrastructure bill passed. Biden is too old JBB.   Nothing you say will change that fact.   The fact that other people older than him are still alive and functioning is irrelevant.   We are talking about the PotUS and the potential of Harris ascending to same.

Biden always stuttered and misspoke ...

I know.   Don't you think you should argue with people who are attacking Biden?

I disagree. Biden has more experience as a leader than anyone else running and he can still be trusted to continue leading his team of competent executives. He will be judged like Truman as an underdog who stepped into the breach when he was most needed to steady our ship of state during difficult times serving with grace, dignity, honor and ultimately with successful competence.

That he was badly "misunderestimated".

The last laugh will be at his detractors...

What I find the to be the saddest part of it,  If we have a Trump article, one of the thousands telling everyone that Orange man is bad, and anybody comes along and makes a comment about anybody else, like a reference to Hillary destroying evidence, or Biden lying about X, we get a 3 to 5 paragraph on the "Big Lie' with multiple accusations of being a trump supporter and a enabler and multiple accusations of defending trump, and yet when we get an article about Bidens Gaffs and mistakes we instantly get a But trump comment and that isn't a deflection or in any way a defense of Biden? Seems a bit hypocritical but then when you choose sides it is going to appear that way. when any Biden flaw is mentioned,

Momentarily saying Russia when you meant Ukraine , for half a fucking second, is not huge gaffe. It is barely even a baby gaffe. Thats just the fact of it and easy to see and understand if you are not a MAGA looking for something about Biden to bitch about.

We come on this forum and have to constantly listen to this shit from you guys. It is an embarrassment to Newstalkers.

I acknowledged Biden’s flaws.   And I do not support him for PotUS.   So by definition that is not deflection.

I made the point that you and others are all excited about trivial mistakes of the likely D nominee yet there is no outrage on the willful, significant bad behavior of the likely GOP nominee.

Why is it that you, et.al. are all a flutter about little things with Biden yet are silent (or worse, defend) the worst acts of Trump?

It is behavior like yours that has enabled Trump a real chance at the GOP nomination.

yet would vote for Trump after he attempted to steal the 2020 election while ignoring his constant barrage of lies (like he would end the Ukraine war in 24 hours or that the PRA gives him the authority to hold classified documents).

Yet you would vote for Brandon- who lies literally about everything. Of course the media calls it "Bidonisms"; "Joe being Joe"; and "Joe living in his own reality".

It is bad to try and steal an election. Please tell Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, and a long list of Democrats that have disputed election results and claimed they were stolen. In fact tell the whole damn Democrat Party, DOJ, and FBI that did everything in power to remove Trump from office. Including illegally spying on him and his campaign.

Speaking of illegally holding classified documents- what about Brandon's from the time he was a Senator and VP? What is his fucking excuse? Still planning on voting for him?

The lack of objectivity in partisans is striking.

It sure as hell is. Every time Brandon is called out for being a Human Fuck Up Machine- you are there with a full blown "But Trruuummmmppppp!!!!!!".

Practice what you preach for a change.

Your post is pure fantasy.   You have no argument so you resort to lies.

My point is that if you are going to criticize the potential D nominee on trivialities then you cannot defend/ignore the outrageous acts and lies of the potential R nominee.

You deflect with your typical bullshit.

Biden looks frail to a degree, or at least no longer spry. He walks rather stiffly, which sometimes give the appearance that he doesnt know where is going.

I think it is more of a physical issue than a mental one. He is interviewed, he gives speeches, he travels all over the place. If he were senile he couldnt do any of that.

The right is desperate to deflect off of Trump. And to perhaps a lesser extent DeSantis.  It is the only chance they have of winning.

Absolutely.

Look at the glaring, irrational, unbalanced partisanship at play.   Just amazing that those supporting the GOP exclusively (R partisans) —given their likely nominee is Trump— are silent about Trump's historically outrageous (and likely criminal) behavior yet get all bent out of shape because Biden started to say Vladimire instead of Volodymyr (and corrected himself in a split second).

It is pathetic and counterproductive.    An illustration of blind partisanship at its worst.

This is exactly the kind of behavior that has enabled Trump to have enough power to yet again occupy the only GOP presidential nominee slot.

The GOP partisans do not want Biden (understandably) but by their own actions enable Trump who would almost certainly lose to Biden in the general.

The stupidity of this is staggering.
