The Biden Campaign Strategy

The Biden Campaign Strategy
“There’s a strategic advantage at this point in the race to boiling down your message to the three or four most salient, compelling arguments for why President Biden should be re-elected,” said TJ Ducklo, the Biden campaign’s senior adviser for communications. “That will often translate to the stump [speech] being whittled down to its sharpest, most dynamic form. That’s what you’re seeing.”

The Biden campaign is determined to resist a referendum election. Joe Biden is reduced to ten-to-fifteen-minute interviews and the message is seldom about his policies. No longer do we hear him use the phrase "Bidenomics."  They tried but failed to sell that nonsense. The final straw was when Biden claimed to have inherited a 9% inflation rate.

The main thing now is to leave most of the real campaigning to the left-wing media, as the Biden campaign did in 2020, when the media found a way to blame Trump for the pandemic. Now of course, the democrats have completed their mission of hanging a conviction on Trump, though to no avail, the media's focus has now shifted to gaslighting the American public on the idea that Trump wants revenge and will be a dictator should he be re-elected. We see that effort right here on NT with a politically driven story about Trump supporters supposedly calling for "riots & violent retribution."  They seem to think the American people are as stupid as their president.

The Biden campaign intends to limit discussion to a few talking points. Thus, there is the topic of abortion, now being decided by the states. A lightning rod issue for certain capricious women voters. Finally, there is the outrageous claim that Joe Biden would ever end his open border policy if only "Trump" had let Republicans vote for a border deal that would have allowed 5,000 migrants a day enter the country (as has been the case for 3 years) and give guaranteed legal counsel for unaccompanied minors and those deemed mentally incompetent. A "deal" that most Republicans were destined to oppose no matter what Trump said. For a while Biden claimed that "deal" was what he needed, but recently he signed an executive order that would add restrictions at ports of entry, but in truth, does nothing to quell the migration crisis. Of the topics to be raised by CNN moderators at the debate, which is about 3 weeks away, we can be certain those will be among the first to be mentioned.

The debate which may be make or break for Biden has all of the conditions laid down by the Biden campaign. As with what happened with Donna Brazile, we might even expect the Biden campaign to get a heads up on the questions. Trump for his part has requested reasonable conditions:

A drug test for both candidates immediately before the debate. (Now favored by 70% of those polled.)

No earpieces or notes.

No chairs to sit down.

CNN, which is not doing well with ratings, will be using commercials during a debate for the first time.

At the Normandy ceremony, we saw a very weak Joe Biden. At one point he seemed to want to sit down. Jill Biden covered her mouth and whispered something to him. Jill Biden would ultimately take him by the hand and lead him away from the ceremony. She has been a key player for the Biden campaign. She guides Joe and she intends to be at Hunter Biden's trial every day she can. The only day she missed the trial was for the Normandy ceremony. For some strange reason she will fly back to Delaware today to be at the trial and then she will fly back to Normandy, France for a dinner.

One can only imaging Biden sitting during the commercials at the debate.  Will Jill have to be at his side for that too?

Today's news:

Israel defended its strike on a U.N. school complex where civilians were sheltering, saying it targeted Hamas fighters sitting in classrooms using civilians as shields. The N.A.A.C.P. urged Biden to stop selling weapons to Israel.

Terrorism is spreading in West Africa, forcing the U.S. military to confront a growing problem.

The U.S. reimposed tariffs on China's solar energy products. A move by the Biden administration meant to enhance US production.

Tim Scott, the Senate’s only Black Republican, claimed that Trump’s conviction would help Republicans win over Black men who “are so fed up with this two-tiered justice system.”

A Biden-aligned group accused Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of lying about his New York residency, seeking to stall his efforts to get on ballots.

At Hunter Biden’s trial, Hallie Biden, his ex-girlfriend and his brother’s widow, testified that he used crack cocaine (and used it constantly) in 2018 despite claiming to be drug-free on a gun application.

The Washington Post’s chief executive is facing allegations he tried to limit negative coverage about himself at both NPR and his own paper.

SpaceX’s big Starship rocket completed its first successful return from space.

Good morning.

GNuLrtCXoAAE2aa?format=jpg&name=small

President Biden keeps insisting that a return of President Trump to the White House means revenge & dictatorship. Yet it was his administration that has colluded with social media to censor the Internet, used the intelligence community to cover up his son Hunter’s laptop, and set up prosecutions against his opponent.

Well, Ohio has a new state park.  It’s on the site of one of largest-known Shawnee settlements in Ohio and what some historians believe to be the birth place of Tecumseh. The goal of the park is to preserve the history of Ohio's native peoples and give the public a place to learn about it. Three Shawnee Tribes helped to develop the park.

If you care to visit, it’s about 30 miles east of Dayton on US 68 North, outside of Xenia and is named Great Council State Park.

If they didn't kill the NAs off or drive them out of Ohio, there are no federally recognized tribes left in Ohio, the Wyandot were driven out in the mid-1800, they wouldn't have to concoct this tribute to the real people.

Good to see that they appreciated their shot at manifest destiny.

“Governor DeWine, First Lady Fran DeWine, Ohio History Connection, as well as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources are all an example of how to do the job right of conducting government-to-government conversations with tribal nations. They are to be commended,” said Shawnee Chief Ben Barnes.

“Those relationships are continuing to develop and become more fruitful. This is one example,” Barnes said, adding that the World Heritage Site designation for Ohio’s Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks, located in Chillicothe and Oregonia, is another.

“It’s impossible to describe how I feel, but it is marvelous. I wholeheartedly endorse it,” said Chief Glenna Wallace of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.

“Ohio was the original ‘Indian territory’ of the U.S. in the 1790s. We had reservations, for a brief time,” Dr. Barbara Mann, author and professor at the University of Toledo, said in an email. Mann has published extensively, noting that as she went into academia, the Ohio Indigenous elders gave her the task of “setting the record straight.”

Along with the formation and gradual expansion of the United States came the strategies of creating oftentimes-dishonest “Indian treaties” to claim Ohio for settlers. Such treaties include the Fort Stanwix Treaty, Fort McIntosh Treaty, the Mouth of the Great Miami Treaty and the Fort Harmar Treaty, which applied pressure to the Union of Ohio Natives, which allowed Indigenous peoples to call Ohio their territory. The Greenville Treaty, however, granted a collective of European settlers permission to claim Ohio as farmland. Amidst turmoil and expansion with the succession of wars and the American Revolution from 1747 to 1794, many settlers took the opportunity to obtain cheap and available land, seeking after their own prosperity. From that point on, the Indigenous communities in Ohio either left or remained unrecognized.

While in recorded history these treaties often appear constructive and mutually beneficial, in reality, they caused serious problems for the Indigenous communities of the time: deceitful federal agents negotiated unfair treaties, translators purposefully miscommunicated the contents of the treaties and some Natives were forced to sign under fear for their lives.

This series of treaties led to the Ohio Removal between ca. 1840-1845. But while most history books stop here, the true story is a bit more complicated.

“A tremendous number of Indigenous people remained in Ohio after Removal. Another thing little known by the general public is that people flatly refused to go west,” Dr. Mann said. “The government simply declared those people no longer Indian.”

In those cases, the United States government refused to record someone’s existence or even deliberately misrecorded it. "

Works everytime don't it - just ignore them and they'll go away.

(Bloomberg) -- President Joe Biden announced a new $225 million aid package for Ukraine during a meeting with his counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, and pledged continued US support as Kyiv looks to turn the tide in the war with Russia.

Biden said Friday part of the aid package would help Ukraine rebuild its electrical grid, which has been decimated by Russian attacks. It also includes munitions, artillery systems and air defense interceptors to repel Russia’s assault at the epicenter of fighting in Kharkiv, according to the State Department.

I do not care if they sit or stand - there should be no notes, prompters or aides on or near the stage able to communicate with the debaters at anytime during the debate.

there should be no prior knowledge by either side to the questions to be asked.

If the candidates veer off the topic of the question to give campaign speech excerpts their microphone should be silenced and the debate move on to the next question

There should be a point - counterpoint portion of the debate where the debaters can challenge and question each other

When Biden said that I recalled how then president Obama openly questioned whether the IRS had engaged in stifling Conservatives trying to set up tax exempt organizations. He said he did not want to judge the findings of an Inspector General investigation "prematurely" but said that if the reports of political targeting are found to be correct, those responsible must be held "fully accountable." Serious questions about the IRS actions were leading the news.

Then one day Obama suddenly said: It was "fixable."  Resignations followed. The media quickly ended it as a story and House Speaker John Boehner was left standing alone murmuring: "My question isn't about who's going to resign, my question is who's going to jail in this scandal."

I didn't realize the trial was over. So you don't think it is a problem for someone using drugs to get a gun license or a gun?

Complete and utter bullshit given the overwhelming evidence.

But the trial is in a Democrat controlled bastion of stupidity that worships the Bidens; so evidence might not matter. Just like in the Trump hush money trial.

Real and hard evidence that passes scrutiny is allowed in our courts under the Rule of Law. Sketchy materials masquerading as evidence are not allowed in courts by the same. Humor us; show us all, once and for all, the "given. . .overwhelming evidence"  you know of or possess. Let's see if your real and hard evidence.

Gov. Katie Hobbs' end run around the Senate to put her allies in charge of state agencies violates Arizona law, a Maricopa County judge ruled Wednesday.

The governor "has improperly, unilaterally appointed de facto directors for these 13 agencies," Judge Scott A. Blaney wrote.

Katie Hobbs' workaround to GOP nomination blockade rejected by judge (usatoday.com)

To be filed under The Queen of Arizona.  Didn't she oversee the very election she won to be Governor?

Considering what she has done while in office, her re-election in 2026 should be interesting.

IMO this was introduced as a campaign gimmick for partisan purposes. He is after all a front-runner for Trump's VP slot.

While the likelihood of this actually passing is almost non-existent, it would also not survive court challenges due to the 14th Amendment.

You are correct. Many of these bills that can't be passed are for political purposes.

As far as the VP slot goes, Trump has sent questionnaires out to three candidates:

ND Governor Doug Burgum and Ohio U.S. Senator J.D. Vance and Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio.

Jill should be required to change Brandon's depends every hour on the hour.

All Democrats should have their cell phones and social media accounts monitored constantly; and be under constant surveillance. They need to know what it feels like to live in the society they created.
