La Grande Convention
"I think right now, we need to be praying for these families that have been affected. I think we need to be grateful that President Trump is alive and is actually going to be here. And certainly we look forward to him being here in Milwaukee, and I think it's going to be tremendously important for him to be here and to deliver that message to America."

Link to quote: 2024 RNC, recast by Trump assassination attempt, kicks off Monday - ABC News (go.com)

Today the RNC Convention gets underway at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Official sessions will run from 5-10 PM Central Time. It will run for 4 days ending on Thursday. Trump aids say the recently shot former President will be there to accept the nomination without missing a beat. One can only imagine the reception he will get from a totally unified Republican Party. Who would have thought only a year ago that Donald Trump and the Republicans would be in this position after all the schemes & lawfare perpetrated against the tough as nails former President.

The Speakers:

The official list of speakers has yet to be released as of Friday morning, but some names have come out. Here's what we know so far. Dates and times of appearances have yet to be confirmed. At the eleventh-hour Nikki Haley was invited to speak. The future standard bearer of the MAGA movement Ron DeSantis is now on the list in addition to Donald Trump's sons. For the first time a Union President (The Teamsters) will speak at a RNC Convention.

Others who may appear are still a matter of speculation. It honor of Donald Trump there is a rumor that more balloons will be dropped on Thursday than ever before in the Convention's history. (Trump can say he had the most!)

In the news:

In a short Oval Office address last night, Biden condemned the attack on Trump and urged Americans to lower the temperature and reject violence. Nowhere in his address did he take any responsibility for the vile rhetoric he has repeatedly hurled at Donald Trump.

The gunman appears to have acted alone, and his family is cooperating with investigators, according to our illustrious FBI which can't seem to unlock the shooters cell phone yet made a point of telling the media that the shooter had at some point registered as a Republican.

Israel’s military followed a strike targeting the top Hamas military commander in Gaza with a second that exploded near some emergency vehicles.

After the Supreme Court said cities could remove homeless campers, some west coast blue cities are finally taking action. “My hope is that we can clear them all,” London Breed, the Democratic mayor of San Francisco, said.

Good morning.

I think it is time to honor a hero who died trying to protect his family:

BB1pYiPa.img?w=768&h=524&m=6&x=546&y=146&s=212&d=212

Corey Comperatore, 50, was a firefighter and a father of two daughters, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Sunday. He was from Sarver, Pennsylvania.

Comperatore "died a hero" when he "dove on his family" to protect them from the gunfire during the rally, his wife said, according to Shapiro.

Are you suggesting that the "Constitution" (on which this ruling is based) is a technicality?

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate , to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
