Barbarism vs Civilization
We meet today at a crossroads of history. Our world is in upheaval. In the Middle East, Iran’s axis of terror confronts America, Israel and our Arab friends. This is not a clash of civilizations. It’s a clash between barbarism and civilization. It’s a clash between those who glorify death and those who sanctify life.

Link to quote: Full text of Netanyahu’s speech to joint session of Congress - JNS.org

Yesterday we saw the Hamas wing of the democrat party stage a massive protest in the nation's capital as the Israeli Prime Minister was giving an address to congress. The U.S. Capitol Police noted that part of the crowd became "violent" and failed to obey orders. No shit. And as usual monuments were desecrated, and three US flags were taken down and burned and 3 Palestinian flags were raised in their place and flew for almost an hour before the heavily restrained Capitol police managed to take them down. Agitators were heard chanting " allahu Akbar." Many democrats, including Kamala Harris did not attend Netanyahu's speech. Rep. Rashida Tlaib attended the speech with a sign calling Netanyahu a war criminal. Chuck Schumer refused to shake hands with the Israeli Prime Minister. There were protestors who managed to get into the event as well. At least six attendees were also arrested by Capitol Police, with one shouting from the gallery moments after the end of the address before being taken into custody.

In addition to the return of the so called "pro-Palestinians to our nation's Capital, yesterday was a day of speeches. They were different in tone and delivery.

Here is my opinion of the 4 speeches:

By far the most important and well delivered was the fiery speech the Israeli Prime Minister delivered to Congress.

israeli-prime-minister-benjamin-netanyahu-85927801.jpg?w=1024

In his historic address Netanyahu defined the war being waged as one between barbarism and civilization. He expressed gratitude for both President Biden and former President Donald Trump while reminding the world that Israel would always defend itself.

The full text can be found here: Full text of Netanyahu’s speech to joint session of Congress - JNS.org

Then there was the speech Donald Trump gave in North Carolina. As usual it was another Trump rally and therefore unscripted.

OIP.uESz3y5QSnk8z9nAYQ5rhgHaFE?w=236&h=180&c=7&r=0&o=5&pid=1.7

The Trump campaign seems to have finally got it. In that speech Trump effectively attacked Kamala Harris record as a far left radical. Trump declared that Joe Biden was the fake radical (simply doing what he was told) while Kamala was the real radical (who believed in all the woke policies.)

Then there was the man who was taken down in a Pelosi led coup.

25themorning-nl-Biden-czbt-jumbo.jpg

He gave us a very hollow speech about withdrawing from the 2024 election to unite his party and protect American democracy.

Finally, there was the radical speech given by the current democrat candidate for president.

Speaking at the annual convention of the historically black sorority Zeta Phi Beta, our former "border czar" said: "We share a vision for the future of our nation," Harris said. "A future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by but to get ahead. A future of social justice, health justice, economic justice. Ours is a vision of a future in which we realize the promise of America."

That was my opinion. The most important opinion is that of our readers.  Make sure you vote.

In the news:

Rupert Murdoch is in a secret battle against three of his children over the future of the family’s media empire.

Nashville reopened cases on 3 unsolved bombings during the Civil Rights era after a local author named possible suspects.

The gunman visited the rally site and searched online for details of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, apparently typing, "how far away was Oswald from Kennedy," Christopher Wray told Congress.

Answering a question from Representative Matt Gaetz, Wray said that he hadn’t noticed any “cognitive decline” in Biden. Donald Trump is now calling for Wray to resign.

Typhoon Gaemi is now headed for China.

The U.S. Capitol Police noted that part of the crowd became "violent" and failed to obey orders. No shit.

But according to the dimwits, it was a "peaceful protest".

Rep. Rashida Tlaib attended the speech with a sign calling Netanyahu a war criminal.

I wonder how the people she is supposed to represent feel about that.

There were protestors who managed to get into the event as well. At least six attendees were also arrested by Capitol Police, with one shouting from the gallery moments after the end of the address before being taken into custody.

I'm curious; does anybody think they will face charges like others have in the past?

I can't believe Rashida Tlaib holds up a sign to identify herself.  We know what she is, she's also wearing the tell-tale kafiyyah.  I'm surprised she isn't wearing the Palestinian flag she draped around herself when she celebrated winning the election to the American (not the Palestinian) Congress.

It has always been my opinion, and that of many others, that lands of an attacking nation captured by a defending nation in a defensive war become the sovereign lands of the defending nation.  Jordan and Syria attacked Israel, Israel did not attack them but had to defend itself.  There is opinion that Israel attacked Egypt first by bombing their airplanes on the ground before the Egyptian army entered Israel, and in that case even though Israel had advanced all the way to the Suez Canal, Israel gave the Sinai and all the land they conquered back to Egypt.  In other words, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem and the lands towards Jordan are, in my opinion, Israeli Sovereign lands and the Palestinians are the "occupiers".  All the settler Jews were forced out of Gaza by the IDF because Gaza was not then the sovereign lands of Israel, but now that Hamas attacked Israel on Oct 7 and Israel has invaded Gaza, I wonder if Gaza will become the sovereign lands of Israel.  However, I'm sure Israel does not want Gaza and a lot of the West Bank because it could make it hard to maintain Israel as a Jewish nation.

There may be good reasons why Netanyahu should be criticized, but the speech he gave was magnificent and if it does not motivate Congress to provide all necessary support and backup to Israel to win this war as soon as possible, then as far as I'm concerned I would not be surprised if Iran will succeed in carrying through its threat to attack "The Little Satan" first and then "The Big Satan" as it has threatened to do.  Never forget that Alexander Haig said that Israel is like America having its biggest carrier in the Middle East, not requiring a single American soldier on board.  You all know how much I am into the movies, and the one that I can't get out of my mind is The Sum of All Fears, because Iran will use its proxies to deliver the nuclear bomb that is almost developed at this time.

They don't even have to get it on US soil, they just need to get it close enough to launch and make sure it reaches an altitude of at least 30,000 ft and set it off and it will literally mean lights out for either or both our coasts.  Remember they were launching missiles and they kept blowing up at 30,000 - 35,000 ft and some were laughing at them because their missiles kept "malfunctioning", I wasn't laughing for I knew that they had figured it out and were testing the triggering mechanism for that altitude.

Nancy Pelosi trying to do to Benjamin Netanyahu what she did to Joe Biden was a cute stunt.  At some point Hakeem Jeffries will need to do a smack down.  Frankly, Pelosi ain't pertinent any longer.  Pelosi has to beg reporters to listen to her now.

Biden gives another (not his last) lackluster address to the American people with the expectations they'll ignore the contradictions and falsehoods.  Biden says he is passing the torch to the next generation but he's boxed the future into rebuilding the past.  Biden tells us he is working toward the future by manipulating the Supreme Court to reinstate a 50 year old rewrite of the Constitution, relitigating and guarding against Jim Crow that no one has seen since 1964, revitalizing and strengthening a 75 year old NATO to guard against a Soviet invasion, keeping the promise of Jimmy Carter's diplomacy in the Middle East, renewing our commitment to Taiwan made in the 1940s.  Biden has promised to bring back the labor unions of the 1930s, the Cold War manufacturing of the 1950s, the affirmative action of the 1960s, the activist Supreme Court of the 1970s, and the economy of the 1980s.  And we're supposed to believe Biden is stepping aside so a younger generation can chart the future.  It's just another lie.

Kamala Harris is peaking too early.  The DNC convention could be a real let down.  The thrill will be gone before the first date.  (Nod to B.B. King)

The press is busy pre-labeling J.D. Vance for when Trump exits the race.  Looks like the fix is in.  Will Democrats do the hangman's drop during their convention?  Maybe that's just insurance against the ho hums of a pointless prime time circle jerk.

BLM is transitioning to PLM.  Will Al Sharpton wear a keffiyeh to stay in the spotlight?  Maybe PLM and BLM will cross the river Jordan together.  Democrats are going to avoid talking about Israel at their convention the same way Republicans ignored abortions.

Pelosi doesn't have as much influence to peddle any longer.  If Jefferies gets the Speaker's gavel then he'll have to smack down Pelosi.  If Democrats win the House then Pelosi will be the loser; it's inevitable.

Nancy Pelosi may be only one election away from becoming Maxine Waters.  The question is whether or not Pelosi will accept that.

Everything I have looked into since the 1990s reveals that racism is an equal bane on both Dems and Cons but is lessening over time. What is worsening over time is the cheap blame game which tries to paint a handful as one and all.

"What have Palestinians done to help the USA?"

What have they done for anyone in the world?  Compare it with the medical advances, technology inventiveness (drip watering agriculture, for example), etc etc etc. that Israel has brought to the world.  They can't even fucking support themselves, have to be 4 or 5 generations of sucking the tit of UNRWA in order to have enough money to pay the terrorists who kill Jews and support them in the Israeli prisons and support the terrorists' families if they die killing Jews.

"Your hatred of all Palestinians jumps off the page."

As does your support of them.  Why are you not out on the street bearing a "From the river to the sea" sign?

Had you witnessed a bus bombing that blew innocent women and children to bits, and if you had seen the reception room of the Park Hotel in Netanya immediately after the "Passover Massacre", the splattered blood not yet washed off the walls and floor, and your son, only because of good luck and the grace of God, just missed being blown to bits in a Jerusalem cafe, you might understand how I feel about a LOT of Palestinians, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM.  Just like Americans, they are not ALL bad, but then it seems to me that depending on your political alliance, only the "other" half of Americans are deemed to be bad.

Because I am not a supporter of Hamas or terrorists.

Im not even really a "supporter" of any Palestinians , but I know there will never be peace there until there is a two state solution.

There isn't going to be a 2-State solution.   How many times were they offered a 2-State solution?   They were offered 95% of their demands and then 97% of their demands and they walked away from the table without negotiating.  It they are required to recognize Israel as being a Jewish State they will never agree, nor will they agree on being devoid of weapons which Israel will rightfully demand.

They are religious, and their bible, the Koran, COMMANDS them to fight and kill the Jews, and their Imams remind them, even in America, that the Day of Judgment will not come until they fight and kill the Jews.  If you do not believe that I will post proof of it as I have done more than once on NT before.

Not just Jews.    Any non believer.    Which is basically any non Muslim.

So they got that going for them.

What you are saying is that anyone who ISN'T a "believer" is considered by "believers" to BE a Jew.  That would certainly help the horrible predictions some have spoken of that the whole world will eventually be Muslim come true.

Not all Palestinians are terrorists, just like not all Christians are terrorists. Any and all, (virtually all), groups of people will have terrorist elements. That's just reality.

I agree with you that not all Palestinians are terrorists, but a lot of them are supporters of the terrorists.  After all, they've been educated in the UNRWA schools.

question is mr frost , is how do you vet them ?

and would you actually trust the vetting system, if there was one ?

there is a reason , that other arab and muslim countries wont accept them or accept very few , and from what i have seen , for very good reason .

No, I’m saying it doesn’t matter to Muslim extremists like Hamas.    Jew, Christian, Atheist, etc.    All are nonbelievers in their eyes.
