The accidental e-mail
“Retired Rear Admiral Kirby’s comments are appalling, but sadly not surprising,” McCaul said in a statement. “The Biden-Harris administration has consistently disregarded our veterans, servicemembers, and Gold Star families over their botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

A strange thing happened to America's favorite storyteller AKA: White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby. He is after all a very busy man. It seems that a Fox News reporter asking about comments from four veterans blasting Kirby for “trying to cover” for the Harris-Biden administration’s botched exit from Afghanistan. Kirby most likely intended to send a message on the inquiry to White House staffers, but inadvertently hit the “reply all” on an email chain that included the Fox News reporter making the inquiry. We all know how devastating it can be to give oneself away to a legitimate reporter.

What did Kirby say in the e-mail?

Here it is:

“Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe.”

There it is by Kirby's own hand. There is no disgruntled, fired employee making the claim. It is Kirby the great explainer telling us all how he really feels about veterans.

"House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said he was unsurprised but appalled by Kirby’s comments.

“Retired Rear Admiral Kirby’s comments are appalling, but sadly not surprising,” McCaul said in a statement. “The Biden-Harris administration has consistently disregarded our veterans, servicemembers, and Gold Star families over their botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

John Kirby slammed over accidental email to reporter that there’s ‘no use in responding’ to veteran concerns over Afghanistan withdrawal  (nypost.com)

In the news:

Israel struck a Hamas command post, which the New York Times described as a shelter in Gaza. A U.N. agency said the strike killed six of its members. President Biden said he was outraged by Israel's killing of an American activist in the West Bank, and Harris questioned the Israeli army’s conduct.

England’s National Health Service, one of the country’s most revered institutions, is in critical condition according to a new report.

Speaker Mike Johnson scrapped a House vote on a government funding bill that members of both parties had opposed, leaving Republicans without a plan to avoid a shutdown.

A billionaire in orbit is preparing to walk in space with his crew.

Two years before Boar’s Head deli meats caused a deadly listeria outbreak, federal inspectors found rust, mold and insects at one of the company’s plants.

Although most would agree that Kamala Harris won the recent presidential debate, there are indications that many people saw through ABC's biased moderation.

True, the former 'president' convicted felon and rapist and traitor disrespects veterans and pisses on their graves especially with that photo-op campaign stop at Arlington.

He cares nothing for the Veterans and their honorable service.  He uses them as props.

You want a scandal?  Trump appears to be taking advice from a racist fruitcake, Laura Loomer, who flew with him on his plane to the debate, and the next morning went with him to the 9-11 commemoration ceremonies at Ground Zero.

Laura Loomer is a 9-11 "truther".  In other words 9-11 conspiracy monger.

'She's a lunatic!': GOP insiders call for 'wake up moment' as Trump embraces MAGA 'kook'

Brad Reed 2-2 minutes   9/12/2024

Laura Loomer, a right-wing activist who has earned the rare distinction of being a MAGA supporter too extreme for   Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) , has increasingly become a member of former President Donald Trump's inner circle.

A pair of   CNN   panelists on Thursday sounded the alarm about the fact that   Trump   has embraced someone like Loomer, who is notorious for pushing conspiracy theories and racism in her social media posts that are too much for even a one-time QAnon believer like Greene to stomach.

Former George W. Bush spokesman Pete Seat, for one, did not mince any words when host John Berman asked him for his opinion of Loomer.

"She's a lunatic," he said. "I don't think anyone should pay any attention to anything she says, and it is troubling that the Republican nominee... holds her in such high regard. And the reason is because she feeds his worst impulses. That's what he wants: He feeds off of that type of rhetoric and those types of conspiracy theories."

Former Republican strategist Ana Navarro found it remarkable that Trump is even letting Loomer fly on his campaign plane with him.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee report is  a 350-page  indictment of President Biden’s choices at every point, a portrait of a Commander in Chief “determined to withdraw.” A litany of military advisers counseled that the Afghan government would collapse if the U.S. removed the small complement of 2,500 troops in country.

Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, who ran U.S. Central Command at the time, told the committee “he was unequivocal in his advice to the president.” Mr. Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan conducted a review of U.S. policy in Afghanistan—and allowed Gen. Austin Scott Miller, the senior U.S. commander in Afghanistan, to attend merely “a single NSC deputies meeting,” the report says. Mr. Sullivan comes in for particular criticism.

Joe Biden is a Catholic too and I was born a Catholic, but I'm honest:

The  FBI  has come under scrutiny after a leaked document showed the bureau warning that "radical traditionalist" Catholics pose as an extremist threat.

Kyle Seraphin, a former FBI special agent and federal whistleblower, obtained the document from the bureau's field office in Richmond, Virginia, and published it on the  UncoveredDC  website.

The document is titled "Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities."

Also included in the memo was a list of Catholic organizations that are defined as hate groups by civil rights advocates the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). These include the Catholic Apologetics International in Pennsylvania and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in New Hampshire.
