Assassination attempts
“No threat will shake me. No enemy will intimidate me and I have never been more determined.” ... Donald Trump

Tuesday night former President Trump was officially briefed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence about Tehran's “real and specific threats” against him. This shouldn't come as news to those who follow the news and are willing to accept facts.

Sean Savett, a spokesman at the National Security Council, confirmed the Iranian threat:

“As we have said many times, we have been tracking Iranian threats against former President Trump and former Trump administration officials for years, dating back to the last administration,” Savett said in a statement to USA TODAY. “These threats arise from Iran’s desire to seek revenge for the killing of Qasem Soleimani,” the Iranian general slain in a 2020 drone strike ordered by then-President Trump.

Iran wants to assassinate Donald Trump as payback, US officials say (usatoday.com)

Iran has also plotted to kill John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Six weeks ago, the Justice Department, without naming an intended victim, charged a Pakistani national with ties to Iran in an alleged plot to murder someone potentially in response to Soleimani's death.

Yesterday former President Trump had this to say about Joe Biden's handling of the situation:

“If I were the president, I would inform the threatening country — in this case, Iran — that if you do anything to harm this person, we are going to blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens. We are going to blow it to smithereens,” Trump said at a campaign event in North Carolina.

Donald Trump says he'd threaten to blow Iran 'to smithereens' over assassination threats (thehill.com)

Let us not forget the democrat rhetoric and the domestic threats. Only ten days ago, a Harris supporter tried to assassinate President Trump. Yesterday Biden's Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said:  President Trump should be "extinguished for good."

In the news:

The chief of Israel’s military told soldiers at the northern border that it was drawing up plans for a possible ground invasion of Lebanon.

Russian forces are fighting for a string of strongholds in eastern Ukraine. Taking any one of them could reshape the war.

Hurricane Helene is expected to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast tonight. The storm could intensify to a category 4. At least 17 counties along the Florida coast ordered evacuations.

Congress passed a bill to fund the federal government into December. Biden is expected to sign it.

Mark Robinson, the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor, reportedly wrote in 2009 that the police should have shot Al Sharpton back when he was fomenting racial violence. Gee how did a piece from 2009 suddenly pop up during an important election. I smell democrats again.

In a shocking implication, IG Horowitz implied that there were Federal Assets among the protestors on Jan 6th.

IG Horowitz implied that there were Federal Assets among the protestors on Jan 6th.

Now the question is whether they were simple observers or active participants urging the other on.

It is a tempting issue, but ultimately, we have to let it go.

There is simply no way Jan 6th benefits Republicans despite what the FBI or Pelosi did or didn't do.

It is a good thing both only ran as surrogates for the hate the left feels for their opponent.

BREAKING:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden announced more than $8 billion in military assistance for Ukraine on Thursday to help Kyiv "win this war" against Russian invaders, using a visit by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to make a major commitment.

The aid includes the first shipment of a precision-guided glide bomb called the Joint Standoff Weapon, with a range of up to 81 miles (130 km). The medium-range missile gives Ukraine a major upgrade to the weapons it is using to strike Russian forces, allowing the Ukrainians to do it at safer distances.

Meanwhile , Trump was acting like a Putin stooge, attacking Zelensky publicly and personally because Zelensky had, in Trump's mind, dissed Trump personally.

Trump essentially declared that Ukraine has lost the war and should submit to the Russian victory .  He once again told the world how much he likes Putin, and that Putin likes him. Like anyone else is supposed to give a fuck about their "bromance".

Trump talked about the prowess of the Russian military over the centuries, saying they had defeated Napoleon and Hitler, although the fool admitted he had only recently learned of these historical facts.

No john, what Zelensky did was to interfere in a US election on US soil to endorse Biden/Harris. He walked away with another $8 Billion. And that is why Mike Johnson is demanding that the Ukrainian ambassador be fired.

Trump essentially declared that Ukraine has lost the war and should submit to the Russian victory .

Who said that?  Hillary again?

No, not even close:

Key Facts

Zelensky visited a manufacturing plant Sunday that makes artillery shells used by Ukraine, where he expressed gratitude to workers there and pursued further collaboration between the Scranton plant and factories in Ukraine.

Zelensky did not comment on the upcoming election at the visit, but Johnson pointed out he was accompanied by “a top political surrogate for Kamala Harris”—likely referring to   Gov. Josh Shapiro —and no Republicans, and alleged it was a political stop as Pennsylvania is “a politically contested battleground state.”

Johnson
called   for Zelensky to fire his ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, who he said organized the trip Johnson described as “a shortsighted and intentionally political move (that) caused Republicans to lose trust in” the ambassador’s ability to “fairly and effectively” be a diplomat.

Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday—the same day Zelensky toured the artillery factory—
Trump said   Zelensky “wants them [the Democrats] to win this election so badly,” adding: “But I would do it differently, I will work out peace.”

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky.,  announced  Wednesday he was opening an investigation into taxpayer resources funding the trip to “determine whether the Biden-Harris Administration attempted to use a foreign leader to benefit Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign,” which he alleged would be an abuse of power.

At least two other Republican lawmakers—Sen. John Thune, S.D., and Sen. John Cornyn (Texas)—have suggested Zelensky “should stay out of American politics,”  Politico  reported.

Someone tried to kill Trump , therefore you should vote for him.

Harris gives answers that are vague, in the eyes of some, therefore you must vote for Trump.

There was an FBI presence in the crowd on Jan 6th therefore you should vote for Trump.

-

These concepts are all ludicrous.

And I see someone above on this seed say Harris is a poor communicator. What a ridiculous comment. It reminds one of the not so long ago period when the right liked to hee haw out the notion that Harris was not intelligent. Trump's demented babblings have turned Harris into a combination of Newton, Einstein and Hawkings by comparison.

First African American elected to AG in a state where a pile of dogshit can win an election with a "D" after it's name, and now the first African American woman to become the DNC nominee for President after receiving 0 votes for the position.

Mostly , Americans who dont pay income taxes dont make enough money.  Do you want people at or near the poverty line to pay income taxes?

Paying income taxes by these people will make them poorer and more in need of social services.

People shouldnt complain about paying income taxes they should thank God they are able to do so.

This coming in:

A former FBI agent has pleaded guilty to theft after stealing from multiple Houston residences while executing search warrants, including against one man who was sentenced for  taking part in the Jan. 6 riot  at the U.S. Capitol,  U.S. Attorney Alamdar Hamdani announced in a Monday news release

Nicholas Anthony Williams worked as an FBI special agent in the Houston Field Office since 2019, serving on both the criminal violent gang and counterterrorism squads. In January,  Williams was indicted for stealing property and money from residences  while conducting searches in his official capacity as an FBI agent. He was convicted for both theft and providing false statements after several fraudulent charges were also discovered on his government-issued credit card, according to the release.

One of the men  he stole from was Alexander Fan , a Houston man who was sentenced to one year of probation  for climbing into an office through a broken window  and remaining in the office. He filed a complaint regarding missing cash and silver after the search of his home.

"Nicholas Williams betrayed that legacy and the community’s trust when he decided to pad his own pockets at the expense of a citizen’s rights," Hamdani said. "Because no one is above the law, the system of justice that he once swore to protect will now seek to hold him to account for breaking that oath."

Former FBI agent convicted for stealing money, property from Jan. 6 rioter and others (msn.com)

J Edgar Hoover used to constantly worry about the reputation of the FBI.

I bet he is rolling over in his grave.
