LAS VEGAS, NV — Vice President Kamala Harris attended a town hall with Latino voters last night, where she opened by greeting the crowd with "Donde esta la biblioteca?"

Wearing a sombrero and carrying maracas, Kamala hoped to make inroads with Latino voters that polls show are set to vote Republican in record numbers. "Ola! Yo quiero Taco Bell!" said Kamala to the crowd, shaking her maracas. "Please-o elect-o me-o, por favor! Haha!!"

After an uncomfortable silence, the Univision moderator opened the town hall up to questions. "Thank you for taking my question, Vice President," said attendee Felipe Munoz. "I am concerned about the number of drug traffickers coming into our state. How will you help stop the flow of drugs into our community?"

"I was born into a 'meedle-class familia', as your people would say," responded Kamala. "We liked to take care of our lawns, which you people would know something about, right? Who doesn't love a freshly cut lawn, am I right? Haha!"

At publishing time, Harris had closed the town hall by shooting pistols in the air and tossing tortillas into the crowd.

True that. Anyone who has tried to learn Spanish as a second language get's it.

Maybe it doesn't apply to many conservatives?

I did not realize all the drama behind the scenes at Babylon Bee and Not the Bee in recent years as the original owners tired of the project and sold out eventually leaving Seth and Don Dillon in charge.

Obviously, the description of being a conservative Christian satirical website is no longer even remotely true.

They are not in any sense of the word Christian anymore.  Any tasteless thing goes.

They no longer take shots at conservatives (except Carlson Tucker), it's just an anti-liberal no holds barred arm of the RNC.

Shameless.

A quick trip to the Onion might cause one to actually smile at real evenly divided satire against SCOTUS, Disney, Taco Bell, Grandma, Tips for Groceries savings, Francis Ford Copula (again).

It's even, it's funny, not mean.  Not misogynistic, racist or antisemitic.  The Dillons don't care, they are in it for the easy money.

One can only hope they choke on it someday.

That's the thing - some folks don't get that - shocker - good satire is humorous without being hateful and ignorant and it's actually funny and truthful.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are masters of the art.  Some folks should check them out too if they want to learn how it's done.

lol

I keep telling people that believing Biden is opening the border to increase the democrat voting base is a myth that defies logic.

Almost everyone I know in South Texas of Mexican heritage, including my wife's family, are conservative Catholics who vote Republican.

Math is logic. Immigrants overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party. YOu can look it up.  So if they pick up 2 votes among new voters for every one Republicans do, they increase their voting advantage.

Ane I know in South Texas of Mexican heritage, including my wife's family, are conservative Catholics who vote Republican.

How many of them are actual immigrants?  People of "mexican heritage" are americans, just like people of Italian heritage are.  They are  not immigrants.

The fact that he opened the floodgates at the border is a fact and bad enough as it is. Many Mexican/Americans are of the view that if one cannot laugh at themselves then what is the use. That is the frame of reference I referred to. Many that are not Hispanic and have little contact with them culturally just do not get it.

It is also fact the BP had record Title 42 expulsions 2021 through 2023.  Record-breaking returns and apprehensions.  Now that Title 42 is history and new rules are in place the floods have stopped coming.

Many Mexican/Americans are of the view that if one cannot laugh at themselves then what is the use. That is the frame of reference I referred to. Many that are not Hispanic and have little contact with them culturally just do not get it.

I agree whole heartedly.

As far as Title 42 and returns and apprehensions, that does not take into account the sheer numbers of getaways that the Border Patrol estimates at 30% greater than numbers of apprehensions.

Those are "estimates", by a law enforcement agency, hostile to the Democrat Party to the point that they would admit they are only 70% competent?

I'll take that with a grain of salt.

Immigrants overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party.

Legal or illegal?

One group can maybe get to vote after navigating the naturalization which includes proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and comprehending English.

The other lives in the shadows usually until they are caught and deported,

never have a chance in hell or would even risk trying to vote, risking deportation of themselves and possibly their families.

How many of them are actual immigrants?

I don't know and neither do you.

I do live in Texas and am a past resident of Tubac AZ and California.

I'd say about a third of my extended family were born in Mexico and live in Texas.

Yours?

As I have said before, I live 6 blocks from the AZ/Mexico border fence in SE Cochise County and I have multiple friends and neighbors that are Border Patrol agents. My information comes from them and has nothing to do with the Democratic Party. I have no problem taking their word.
