Coin flip?
Not required. Whoever has the most area wins
Nope. Whoever has the most powerful military. That is, concerning this ridiculous subject in the first place. I myself will continue to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of Mexico.
OK..
History suits me. As for google, I'm glad it's banned in China. I've never seen a corporation get on its knees to suck a PotUS's "big toe?" before.
I would really like to see Canada change the name of the Gulf of Alaska. What a hoot that would be
How about changing the Detroit River to the Windsor River, and Lake Erie to Lake St. Catherines?
Excellent
The "Persian Gulf" has two names. On the East (Persian) side i.e. Iran, they call it the Persian Gulf. But the Arab countries on the West side call it "The Arabian Gulf".
About the Persian/Arabian Gulf
Persian Gulf
The region has historically been known as the Persian Gulf, named after the Persian Empire (present-day Iran).
Since the 1960s, rivalry between Persians and Arabs, along with the growth of Arab nationalism and evolving Western political and economic interests, has prompted an increasing use of the term "Arabian Gulf" when referring to the region's body of water.
This website uses the term Persian Gulf with no political significance intended.
Yet another pointless problem created by Trump.
