The democrat agenda

The democrat agenda
“If they want to make a 77-year-old heckling congressman the face of their resistance, if that’s the Democrat Party, so be it,” Johnson said. “But we will not tolerate it on the House floor.”

Link to quote: Rep. Al Green shouts down Trump and may face censure by the House | AP News

It seems that every pundit, from right to left believes that the democrat party is in total disarray without a leader or an agenda. If one listens carefully, the democrats do have an agenda, though maybe not a leader.

Based upon my opinion, which I base on logic, here is the list:

1)  The Trump & Musk are evil mantra. They must be opposed and resisted at every turn.

2) The Palestinians must be supported rather than Isreal. Progressive/Marxist ideology has Isreal as the oppressor and the Palestinians as the oppressed.  Does anyone doubt that this is now the position of the democrat party? (about 65% - 70% of dems favor the Palestinian cause)

3) There should be no cuts in the federal government, despite the $1.7 trillion deficit.

4) The war in Ukraine with US funding is preferable to a peace deal. If it cost another $500 billion in US aid and the life of every Ukrainian, so be it.

5) DEI must be restored. "America is racist."

6) The resistance to Trump and the will of the American people must be far more vocal, to the degree that voters will simply want peace.

Have I missed anything?

Let me follow up with this: There is also the smug attitude of democrats. They told the American people some monstrous lies over the past few years, such as the Russia/collusion hoax, the border being secure and the grand scam of hiding the condition of a man who was unfit for office for four years. They seem to be saying: Ya, we lied through our teeth and now you have at least 12 million people in the country, some of which are murderers, terrorists, gang members and human traffickers. Good luck finding them and getting rid of them. "WE WIN AND YOU LOSE!"

In the news:

Russian and U.S. officials are meeting in Saudi Arabia to discuss details of a limited cease-fire in Ukraine. The U.S. and Ukraine met yesterday.

Israel expanded its offensive in Gaza.
It has taken control of more territory and issued new evacuation orders for residents who recently returned to their homes. The Israeli cabinet moved to dismiss the Attorney General, who some say was trying to interfere with government policies.

Canada’s new prime minister, Mark Carney, called for an early federal election in order to take advantage of Canadian outrage for Trump tariffs. Only a few months ago the Canadian Liberal Party was in dire straits.

Political lawyers will ask a certain federal judge today to maintain protections against deportation for nearly 350,000 Venezuelans.

Elon Musk’s DOGE took over the U.S. Institute of Peace’s building after a nearly five-hour standoff. Elon Musk is going to file a lawsuit against Jamaal Bowman for calling him an “incompetent thief” and a “Nazi” on CNN.

From what i've seen so far, American judges don't recuse themselves notwithstanding the seriousness of the reasons that they should.  I'm going to have my morning coffee in a few minutes - brewing up some Tim Horton's coffee shipped from Canada.  It might please you to know that I almost always prepare for myself an AMERICAN breakfast - this morning duck eggs sunnyside up, toast with blueberry jam and marmalade, fried baby tomatoes and orange juice with my coffee.

I like the duck eggs. They are firmer and perfect for Sunnyside up eggs. They don't break or bleed. The only negative I hear is they are a bit more fattening than regular chicken eggs.

As for coffee, I have something better: Dunkin Donuts Coffee. It was a local guy who founded DD. He was also a lantzman.

I have a question. It is kind of an analogy.

Suppose an English professor at Columbia University demanded that every university in America make the works of Jack Kerouac required reading. Would faculties throughout the country be wondering if he had the authority for a national injunction?

Buzz of the Orient
Professor Expert
3.1.7  Buzz of the Orient  replied to  Vic Eldred @3.1.6    2 days ago

First of all I needed to know what a national injunction was, so I looked it up:

''A national injunction, also known as a nationwide injunction, is a form of injunctive relief in U.S. law that binds the federal government, preventing it from enforcing a policy or action against not just the parties involved in a specific case, but against anyone nationwide. This type of injunction has been increasingly used by lower federal courts to block government policies since 2008''

That indicates to me that it requires a court to impose a national injunction, and the Columbia University professor has no authority, so although he could make that demand, it would be unenforceable.  Therefore, to answer your question, I would imagine that faculties throughout the country would most likely ignore it.

So now after 10 and getting sleepy, so Good Morning to you, Vic, and Good Night to me.  I'll dream about duck eggs and Tim's coffee.

Looks like typical partisan exaggeration.   More likely the D positions are:

  1. Trump and Musk are operating in their own interests and not in the interest of the nation and are doing real damage to this nation.
  2. Hamas brutally attacked Israel and needs to be destroyed, but not at the expense of humane treatment of the Palestinian people.
  3. Hacking the federal government (chainsaw vs scalpel) is irresponsible.   Cuts should be based on an understanding of waste and done carefully.
  4. The Ukraine war needs to end with Ukraine secured against further hostility from Putin and Putin NOT gaining enough to justify the blood and treasure he spent.   Giving in to Putin is a strategic blunder against freedom and long-term peace and goes against the historic position of the USA as the leader of the free world.
  5. DEI is considered a good way to mitigate systemic racism.
  6. (Not sure what this is trying to say)  Guessing:  Trump needs to be stopped and that first requires the American people expressing their displeasure.

DEI is literally systematic racism and ensures racism will be a massively divisive force in our country as long as racialists are allowed to implement it.  It’s much more corrosive and dangerous to the country than a dispute over tariffs.

I see progressive law professors are now arguing that Tite VII of the civil rights act is unconstitutional because it interferes with their ability to discriminate on the basis of race. Progressives want to drag us back to the 1940s when they controlled the south using state sanctioned laws to implement their racialist ideals.

  • Trump and Musk are operating in their own interests and not in the interest of the nation and are doing real damage to this nation.

Absolute bullshit, explain in detail how trump or musk benefit from cutting government spending, how is it in their interest, be specific and if you give your "opinion" it will be dismissed as just partisanship.

  • Hamas brutally attacked Israel and needs to be destroyed, but not at the expense of humane treatment of the Palestinian people.

So how many dead Israeli's are you willing to pile up for this clean war you imagine is possible. when terrorist hide behind civilians, any round number will do.

  • Hacking the federal government (chainsaw vs scalpel) is irresponsible.   Cuts should be based on an understanding of waste and done carefully.

I.E. we don't want anything to change, gut it and relace what is necessary, see my opinion is worth as much as yours.

  • The Ukraine war needs to end with Ukraine secured against further hostility from Putin and Putin NOT gaining enough to justify the blood and treasure he spent.   Giving in to Putin is a strategic blunder against freedom and long-term peace and goes against the historic position of the USA as the leader of the free world.

Fuck that, American lives and treasure has been wasted on the bullshit notion that we are responsible for the world, time for the EU to forfeit free healthcare and early retirement and generous social programs to be the leader. lets take care of our own for a change.

  • DEI is considered a good way to mitigate systemic racism.

Where is this systemic racism? Liberal run colleges? Majority democrat controlled federal agencies? why do democrats think minorities are inferior, their racism is the only reason i can see.

  • (Not sure what this is trying to say)  Guessing:  Trump needs to be stopped and that first requires the American people expressing their displeasure.
What he is saying is we (democrats) have to threaten violence and/or use violence against anyone who doesn't think like us, so they will vote how we want them too out of fear.

Absolute bullshit, explain in detail how trump or musk benefit from cutting government spending, how is it in their interest, be specific and if you give your "opinion" it will be dismissed as just partisanship.

Cutting wasteful spending would be good if done properly (that means carefully rather than haphazardly).    What I had in mind was Trump's aggregate actions which include pushing the bounds of executive power (breaking the law), targeting political 'enemies' and removing their security details and security clearance, threatening businesses and law firms to do his bidding, engaging in gratuitous tariffs, trying to remove jus soli, renaming Gulf of Mexico, etc.   Musk, in particular, is in a position of power, influence, and information that is a clear competitive advantage.   Although it is currently backfiring as the public sees a conflict of interest and disapproves of the haphazard ways in which cuts are being made.

So how many dead Israeli's are you willing to pile up for this clean war you imagine is possible. when terrorist hide behind civilians, any round number will do.

Another ridiculous exaggeration instead of dealing unemotionally with what I wrote.

I.E. we don't want anything to change, gut it and relace what is necessary, see my opinion is worth as much as yours.

A flat out lie, that is not even remotely close to what I wrote.

Fuck that, American lives and treasure has been wasted on the bullshit notion that we are responsible for the world, time for the EU to forfeit free healthcare and early retirement and generous social programs to be the leader. lets take care of our own for a change.

Another exaggeration.  We are not responsible for the world, but we have chosen to support (and lead) the continued fight for freedom.   The right approach, as I see things, is for the USA to lead the opposition to Putin along with increased support from the EU.   Putin winning simply encourages more bad behavior.   The only path to a decent end is to put forth a strong position that will bring Putin to a serious negotiation.   Republicans used to understand peace through strength until Trump supporters elected a pussy.

Where is this systemic racism?

A question that illustrates that no reasoning is possible.

What he is saying is we (democrats) have to threaten violence and/or use violence against anyone who doesn't think like us, so they will vote how we want them too out of fear.

That does not seem to be the position of the Ds.   There are always some in any group who will engage in violence.  Your 'logic' is faulty generalization (plus a shitload of partisan bias).

Final thoughts:

Murrow-tobacco.jpg

The democrats don't really care if their agenda is popular with the voters. Their agenda is completely ideological. Donald Trump won an election which could be considered a referendum on democrat policies, winning the popular vote and a considerable majority in the electoral college. As he tries to fulfill his promises, the democrats have thumbed their nose at the will of the American people.

Through the use of district judges appointed by either Clinton, Obama or Biden the Trump policies are being stymied. Almost all of the Trump initiatives are facing opposition. Leftist organizations lavishly funded by their donors have funded massive lawsuits against executive orders. Let us not forget that the idea of an executive order being an effective way for a President to move his agenda came from Obama. When he lost the democrat majority in congress, he told us "I have a pen and a phone." He used executive orders to move his agenda without much resistance

Now however liberal organizations are shopping for leftist judges, just like they did during the lawfare campaign against Trump during the election. That lawfare has now been transformed to the injunction effort to stop everything Trump is trying to do. These injunctions will all be appealed and will likely be overturned. These leftist judges know that. The idea is to delay, delay and delay at least until the midterms.

Hopefully, the appeals will be taken in a timely manner and hopefully the dems will get beat again in the midterms.

"Good night and good luck."

You denying facts is not a good look.   Who do you think you are fooling?

The facts are overwhelming that Trump has been trying to subvert the rule of law, starting trade wars, stupidly throwing Ukraine under the bus and weakening their position prior to a peace negotiation:

  • Has been trying to subvert the rule of law.   He started with his attempt to eliminate jus soli, his firing of inspectors general, and most recently with his defying a court order to return the migrants for due process.   In fact, his tariffs are of questionable authority ... he skirts this by claiming they were for national security (a lie).
  • How can anyone deny that Trump has started trade wars?   This is black and white.
  • Also, who could possibly deny that Trump through Ukraine under the bus and parroted Putin's talking points?    Again, this is undeniable.
  • Claiming that Ukraine started the war, that Zelensky is a dictator with a 4% approval rating, publicly berating Zelensky in the Oval Office and claiming he has already lost the war, pulling intelligence and aid, all prior to negotiations weakens Ukraine's position.

What is strange is that you are not embarrassed to deny these blatantly obvious facts.
