Company … FALL In!
The Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania has begun to show its colors its FALL/AUTUMN colors that is.
My time in the woods there was limited in both time and depth of entry due to an on-going manhunt for a fugitive and warnings by State Police to "stay out of the woods" (altogether). That cramps my style but I did manage to get some nice fall images.
Here are two for starters more later.
The Sugar Maples are among the first to turn colors in fall.

The nicest time of the year.
Beautiful Mac! I love the colors of fall!
That manhunt you brought up...is that the guy that killed a state trooper? They've been hunting him down for a long time now...keep saying they're closing in but he's managed to stay one step ahead of them. Hope they get him soon!
Great shots Mac.
We are just now getting a few leaves turning colors.
The first one is nicely framed by the tree trunks, and I've always enjoyed your reflecting water photos.
That's the one, Uppy.
More to come today. I once wrote a short account of the physical, quantum and philosophical significance of seeing corporeal elements as their reflections.
I will try and find it and post it.
That's one of the few things I miss 'bout living in Missouri and Kansas - the beauty of small streams, the changing of the colors, the comfort of the small copse of woods.
Thanks A. Mac.
A Mac
A special piece of heaven can be seenin these pictures
Leaves are turning and getting ready to start falling around here and it is simply the best time of year for walks in the woods.
Great pictures as always
Ahh.. my personal favorite of your photos... your fall collection! Just so peaceful and artfully done.
But...
What no chipmunks?
I have added a third image; a section of Pocono wetland the banks of which are dotted with sugar maples.
The blue of the sky and the orange of the maples constitute a harmony of direct color opposites; the effect on the retina of the eye is for each to intensify the perception of the other.
Stay tuned over the next 3-4 weeks, badfish. Between my moving back and forth from Southeastern to Northeastern Pennsylvania, I should be getting new fall photos throughout the period.
Here is a photo I took at work (Gore Mt. in the Adirondacks) just this week...
Thanks for a fine addition to the thread, Bro.
Brolly, forgive me but I love to see bright blue sky, crimson fall leaves and fluffy white clouds. They are such a rarity where I live.
Fantastic as always! You never let us down with your shots. Thanks !!
Amen to that...thanks for sharing A. Mac
