Went to the driving range today for lunch. As I was leaving, rolled down the windows for some fresh air and there, on the passenger window, was a praying mantis. Well, rolled the window back up so as not to disturb him and so the wind from the car would blow him safely off.
Got to the office, walked around the car to look at the window - and there it was - still hanging on to the window - or so I thought. Seems that when I rolled the window back up, his back leg got caught and he couldn't get free. I freed him and put my hand next to him and he crawled on. Took him over to some brush to release - and he just sat there. After 'bout three minutes, he looked up at me, "nodded", and jumped into the bush.
I'm so sorry I missed it! I have been off and on for the past couple of weeks, due to real life getting in the way. I will be able to be a bit more attentive next week!

Marvelous feeling
I love praying mantises... They look so "alien", but I think they are really intelligent, for bugs.
Life is pretty good, if you let it.
But but the Mantis article was the other day still I appreciate the comments.
This one asked "Are you talking to me you talkin' to me ?

Thank you A. Mac - didn't mean to derail
1st,
No worries it's all good!
Happy to have you in the thread any time.
Great photos. I'm liking the colors.
What a great shot of the Mantis - perfectly matched with a quote from a classic movie.
Oh gosh, Next Wednesday is my first day of freedom. I am worn out.
Funny, how someone so worthless has suddenly become irreplaceable... I want to have time to take pictures again, and to have some fun!
Thanks for the link!
