Elvis Presley has been spotted in a Rio Duncan donut shop this week. Though in his 70s now his sheer enormity seemed to awe the locals as he polished off 20 long johns and 2 dozen yeast donuts while hardly blinking an eye.
He seemed in an open reflective mood as this reporter moved in to pop the question. Previous encounters have often ended with Elvis storming through a wall and leaving significant damage to the store front of whatever establishment I caught him in.
"So are you really him?" I asked.
"Am I really who? He asked back.
"Elvis, Elvis Presley?"
"Some use to call me that," he replied swallowing some coffee.
"What are you doing in Rio this week, will you be performing?"
"I have my own football club, were here for the World Cup. Its me and about 2 dozen Elvis impersonators. We do charity matches for local causes here in Rio....I got tired of running, been dead for too long."
"You mean you're running your own charity football club?" I asked astonished.
"For the last 5 years numnutz, don't you read the papers?" he asked sardonically, "And to answer your next question, yes I do plan to make a come back, now get out of the way I'm gonna stand up and I don't want to hurt you."
Well there you have it Elvis Presley found alive in a Duncan Donut shop in Rio and he gives us the scoop of a life time. He is coming back!!
"That's right I'll be back for more donuts, now clear me a path, Elvis has left the donut shop."
