Water, Water … Lake and Stream

A pair from my hangouts in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania

One more

Same lake, fifteen or twenty minutes after the fishermen pic but taken with my iPhone (because I couldn't fly fish while using my Nikon D7100 and zoom lens too big, too heavy). Anyway, the picture

Peace to my friends and to those who are not.

Beautiful scenery Mac; and, when it comes to such wonderful fishing pictures, even those who vehemently disagree with you about other things are your friends.

Great photos AMac if one closes their eyes for just a moment you can almost hear the fish rising to the bugs. Love them.

Arch,

I think I saw a scene something like the first one in On Golden Pond, not a great movie, but it did have some nice visuals.

Peaceful and beautiful retreats for fishing, AMac.

As for your friends on NT that don't seem like friends? We say a lot of things in certain discussions that are not only arbitrary, but also are not researched or well-thought out. Sometimes it is strictly emotional release and not a result of rationale. I take it all with a grain of salt; in fact, sometimes I don't keep the grain of salt, but save it for something that's kind of bland. Smile.gif ..Just being silly.

We're just venting. The seeming negative comments don't mean much after we've had time to think about how ridiculous it sounded. lol

Good comment, Chloe. I have no problem with disagreement, it's those that are mean-spirited, personal and mocking in nature that I don't care for.

Friends can disagree and remain friends you and I have proven that over the years.

Oh, Ok. I had guessed you were referencing topical discussion. I agree with you.

When I read what seems like a personal attack - what I call the "you" remarks - anything 'you' (some like to interpret "you" has facets of acceptability - I don't. If a comment is not about the topic of the article, then it is off topic and has no place there. Discussing other commenters would never be on-topic to an article) -- I don't appreciate it.

Friends can disagree and remain friends you and I have proven that over the years.

Very true. Sometimes, I wonder if some of the things I've said in opposition weren't really what I believed, or maybe the main thought was, but when I'm pressed, it's easy to find words of justification that take my point too far. In reality, I'm less 'side' minded and more of a 'take a look at the values of the issue' and judge from there, type. It's easy to sabotage ourselves, I think.

You wrote "Fisherman at dusk". Was one of them Fredo?

It was a typo, so, I rubbed him it out.

In my old neighborhood, "sleeping with the fishes" was a part of the culture.

Buzz, I know you are unable to view videos this one is the Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes scene from The Godfather.

this one is the Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes scene from The Godfather.

The scene where he was garroted in the bar, or the one when the package of dead fish were delivered to the gang?

Six, although we're miles apart politically, as a friend, I hope you find that serenity.
