Very moody, makes me think of a scene in a horror movie (I don't mean that as a criticism, I mean it as a compliment.) What created the light? Had it been a flash it would have lit up a lot more.
Night photography can be very focused and intriguing without daylight, imo. I don't capture my own, because I like to look outside of the area, but mostly view the Milky Way and night-time (early evening sunsets, sometimes) city or landscapes. However, your plants are interesting. May I ask what those are?
Life is a horror movie, Buzz. No kidding. Thank you for the compliment. It is the moodiness I liked about it. It is by my front porch and I just happened to walk outside and the image captured me!
Thank you, Larry. Glad you liked it. I am a novice and shall remain one forever, I am afraid. When I see something dramatic, I just take a picture, without attention to technique. Sometimes it comes out well, sometimes not!
There are several different ones there, Chloe, but the highlighted one is a mini Japanese Maple and there are rhododendrons nearby. Yes, intrigue is the essence, I agree.
Neetu, I feel much the same way. I'm not really interested in becoming a photographer, using a lot of technique and saving a lot of images. Yet, I love appreciating images that I need for an article or just want to look at.
A quiet night, when all is still, a moment to capture the light and nature's trill..

Interesting study in light photography. Great photo.
Hi Neetu,

Oh, that's interesting. I don't think I've ever seen minis. Yours are beautiful.
I have two Japanese Maples, full-size trees, left. One typical, the other strange, but beautiful, imo.
And then you captured the image. :~)
Video of me on one of my recent trips to Walmart.
Beautiful clarity of colors which I'm sure isn't easy to get in the dark Neetu. Neat!
Thank you, Six. I often don't know what I am doing with a camera, lol, so I would call it luck.
As for the video of you above, hmmmm, didn't know you were pregnant!

Mysterious looking photos. I like 'em. Good work, Neetu.
Great effect, almost surreal!
Thank you, Mac. There was just something about what I saw and tried to capture.
Thanks, Grump. Glad you like them.
