Spirit Halloween maintains that the costume celebrates Caityln, with Lisa Barr, the brands senior director of marketing saying, At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes.
We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that.
Not sure how the costume company's rep kept a straight face saying that.

Those upset about this should take a deep breath (or 10). There's always halloween costumes that look like people in the news. I'm sure there will be a Donald Trump mask complete with bad hair. And there's been many Hillary masks for years now.
