Expect A Rising New Democratic Star This Year
Goldman appeared on Morning Joe this morning and said he is more than ready and willing to knock down the MTG's of the world on the Oversight Committee. There is very little doubt that he will be effective in doing so. He has specifically said he is there to shoot down far right nonsense.

No matter what, the nonsense perpetrated by the far right wackos on the House Oversight Committee will be met with resounding pushback by someone eminently qualified to do. Freshman representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) is raring to go.

This is bad news for the Taylor Greenes, Gosars, and other deranged conspiracy theorists that will be on that committee. Goldman will be on that committee too, and he is very eager to bring his years of experience as a federal prosecutor and Trump impeachment counsel to bear on the fabrications, distractions , and nonsense Marg and her friends will attempt to spread as this year and next unfold.

Goldman appeared on Morning Joe this morning and said he is more than ready and willing to knock down the MTG's of the world on the Oversight Committee. There is very little doubt that he will be effective in doing so. He has specifically said he is there to shoot down far right nonsense.

He graduated with a  Bachelor of Arts  degree in history from  Yale University  in 1998 [10]  and a  Juris Doctor  degree with distinction from  Stanford Law School  in 2005. [6] [11]  Before law school, he was an  Olympics  researcher and a writer for  NBC Sports . [6]

From 2007 to 2017, Goldman was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York under Preet Bharara . [3] [13] He prosecuted Russian organized crime, Genovese crime family mobsters, including Fotios Geas , who murdered Whitey Bulger while in prison, and a variety of white-collar crime and securities fraud . [3] In 2017, Goldman was the lead prosecutor of Billy Walters , a sports bettor who was convicted for insider trading . [3] After leaving the Southern District, Goldman became a legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC [14] and a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice in New York.

Goldman was hired as Senior Advisor and Director of Investigations for the House Intelligence Committee in February 2019 and later became lead counsel for the first impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump . [3] He questioned witnesses on behalf of the majority during the House Intelligence Committee 's public hearings.

Having someone like Goldman, expert in questioning witnesses and in making lucid concise arguments, in eager opposition to the far right members on the Oversight Committee will be something to see.

Goldman is a moderate Democrat who is and will be a rising star in the Democratic Party.  He is so good at this expect him to be a Dem presidential contender in 2028.

Who would you rather have arguing your case in a congressional committee, Dan Goldman or Lauren Boebert?

Considering that Democrats try to brand Brandon as a moderate- we will find out exactly how leftist and unhinged Goldman really is.

As William F Buckley might say: The addition of Lauren Boebert to a committee has caused anxious concern.

Politico:  Biden world giddy at MTG, Gosar and Boebert being placed on Oversight

The panel tasked with probing Biden policies and actions, as well as the president’s own family, will be stocked with some of the chamber’s biggest firebrands and die-hard Trumpists — including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) — ideal figureheads for a White House eager to deride the opposition party as unhinged.

No administration wants to feel the heat of congressional investigations, and Biden’s team is no different. But privately, the president’s aides sent texts to one another with digital high fives and likened their apparent luck to drawing an inside straight. One White House ally called it a “political gift.”

Democrats haven’t yet named their members to the top House investigative committees, but they’re already confident the Republican-led panels will self-destruct.

“The Republicans have brought the QAnon caucus to the Oversight Committee, and you can expect them to run with the most ludicrous conspiracy theories one can ever imagine,” said Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.). “And I think our job is very simple, which is to make sure that we ground our work and any of these investigations in reality.”

Don't be surprised that the coming investigations turn up a reality of credible evidence of wrong doing by Biden that can't be refuted or explained away.

Given the American people's growing intolerance for the election denying crowd, the oversight committee investigations are likely to be a complete disaster for the republican party.

Given the American people's growing intolerance of Brandon; the wide open southern border with record setting amounts of illegals flowing across it; inflation (spin all you want it is still at 6.5% over last year); rising fuel prices (Brandon depleted the Strategic Oil Reserve- tax payers will lose money both at the pump and federally replenishing it); housing market in the shitter (rising interest rates and inflated costs for materials will do that); and economy heading into recession (hard or soft landing- big tech companies; and large corporations; laying off thousands of workers; rising crime; and our wonderful two tier justice system.

Besides; all of the Democrats BS investigations when they were in charge of the House didn't seem to hurt them. Americans will be even more sick of Brandon and Democrats than they currently are after two years of the House dragging them through the mud.

The exact opposite will happen. Unfounded conspiracy riddled investigations will get on everyone's nerves. Especially with someone like Dan Goldman pulling them apart.

Almost all of the Dems investigations were "unfounded conspiracy investigations"....Trump-Putin collusion, a phone call to Ukraine, J6....you name it.

So all the Republicans have to do is pull a few credible and provable allegations out of the political stew, which the Dems won't be able to chew.

Goldman is going to do an outstanding job.  We can be certain of that.  We can also be certain that the reactionary propagandists and neo-fascist types are going to go out of their way to attempt to demonize him, but no one with more than half a brain is going to be fooled by their idiocy.

With any luck, he'll be able to take over the role of "asker of uncomfortable questions" from people like AOC or Katie Porter, who can't do math and never seem to be able to get out of their own way.

If he's really a "moderate", that will help enormously.
