Donald Trump Jr. Rages at 'Nonbinary' Hurricane
By: Khaleda Rahman (Newsweek)
Donald Trump Jr. has blasted what he called the "nonbinary" name of a hurricane churning towards the Caribbean.
"Beryl? Even our Hurricanes are gender nonbinary now," former President Donald Trump's eldest son wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.
However, a community note explained that Beryl is not a nonbinary name, but a "name given to females" that dates back to the 19th century.

The note also adds that the list of names for tropical cyclones have been in use since 1979 and are recycled every six years. The last time Beryl was used was in 2018 for a Category 1 hurricane.
Meteorologist Ricky Matthews responded to Trump Jr.'s post, writing: "Hurricanes are referred to as 'it,' not he or she.
"Also this name has been in use for years, as part of a rotating list that comes around again every six years. English, Spanish, and French names make up the list since the Atlantic borders countries that speak those languages."
Other X users mocked Trump Jr. for the comment.
"Imagine being triggered by the name of a Hurricane," one person wrote.
Another wrote that it was "additional evidence of DJTJ's lack of functioning brain cells."
And another person wrote: "This clown gives a great example of why the right is losing the culture war. How do you expect to win anything when you're incapable of using Google for three seconds to find out Beryl has been used for Atlantic storms since 1982? F****** useless."
Newsweek has contacted representatives of Trump Jr. via email for comment.

Beryl grew into a hurricane on Saturday, and forecasters have warned it is expected to strengthen into an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm before reaching the Windward Islands early on Monday.
Hurricane warnings are in effect for Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. A tropical storm warning was issued for Martinique and Tobago, while a tropical storm watch was issued for Dominica.
Early Sunday, Beryl was centered about 465 miles east-southeast of Barbados, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Its maximum sustained winds had risen to 100 mph and it was moving west at 21 mph.
The hurricane center forecast that Beryl's center was set to move across the Windward Islands early on Monday then across the southeastern Caribbean on Monday night and Tuesday.
AccuWeather hurricane experts say that the U.S. is expected to avoid being directly impacted by Beryl.
"Direct impacts to the United States look unlikely; however, it is very important to note that if the high pressure across the Southeast weakens, that can allow the storm to move farther north and potentially directly impact the Gulf Coast," said AccuWeather lead hurricane forecaster Alex DaSilva.
He might be the only person in the country dumber than his father.
Not very sharpie. What is it with hurricanes with this klan? Tossing the metaphorical paper towels to their baseless misogynistic claims…
Trump Jr. has tons of social media followers. The right loves their idiots.
Perhaps its just simply a case of them "being full of hot air"?
(Asking for a friend . . .)
The nut definitely doesn't fall far from the tree.
So you do see Hunter as a liability.

Speaking of "aviatrixes"--- has anyone here seen Fifty Shades of Gray?
"Donald Trump Jr. Rages At 'Nonbinary' Hurricane"
Rages, really?
He does a lot of cocaine, makes him really unstable.
You are confusing him with another presidents son
Only in the snowflake world does "Beryl? Even our Hurricanes are gender nonbinary now," qualify as raging.
You're right, Don Jr. does seem to trigger pretty easily.
Nice try but complete fail
No, pretty sure I know who I am talking about.
Obviously not
Sure I do, same guy the article is about.
Him and that skank Guilfoyle
He has nothing better to do than snort coke and tweet about hurricane names? I thought he had a billion dollar organization to run?
No one ever accused him of being smart.
