Joe Scarborough Warns Trump Is Preparing For Civil War
Trump told attendees at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday that "over the past eight years," Democrats sought to stop a second presidential term by a range of means and floated the idea that they "maybe even" had been involved in the assassination attempts against him. He said: "Those who want to stop us from achieving this future have slandered me, impeached me, indicted me, tried to throw me off the ballot. And who knows? Maybe even tried to kill me. Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough warned that former President Donald Trump was looking "increasingly desperate" and "preparing for civil war" in reaction to speeches by the Republican nominee and his running mate Senator JD Vance (R-OH) over the weekend.

The remarks came during Monday's show as the host condemned what he described as a "firehose of falsehoods" about the 2020 election result issued by Trump and Vance as "un-American."

You know, I always say there's an enemy from within… We have an enemy from within, which I think is much more dangerous than the outside enemy."

Scarborough reacted in disbelief:

The level of un-American activity that you just saw is stunning. That is un-american. They know they're lying. Donald Trump knows that's a lie. He will tell you that the Secret Service, he thought, did the best job they could do. The fact that JD Vance and Trump's family would out and out say what they said, takes the threat of violence, takes the threat beyond where it was even leading up to January the 6th. This is an increasingly desperate person, an increasingly desperate family, who is preparing for civil war. They just are.

Talking about how they're trying to kill him, Democrats are trying to kill him. And the lies. Think about this. I saw part of Donald Trump's speech this weekend. It was remarkable, the lies. Not just on these things, but on policy, he'd make up things and throw it out there. I was shocked that the audience was really that stupid, to believe the crazy lies that he was throwing out there. But he does it so much. It is the falsehood, firehose of falsehoods.

But they continue to lie about 2020. Vance continues lying about 2020. Trump continues lying about 2020. Senators will not say on Sunday news shows that Donald Trump lost in 2020, despite the fact Republican officials in every one of those states that mattered said that, yes, in fact, Donald Trump lost. Brian Kemp said it in Georgia. Republican officials said it in Michigan. Republican officials said it in Pennsylvania. They said it in Arizona. They have said it repeatedly.

Watch above on MSNBC.

There is no bottom to Trumps behavior, and his lackey Vance and his dolt son Eric are all in on the lies too.

Everyone who's tried to start a civil war has either been killed in the attempt or imprisoned. If any are left dumb enough to try it may not work out as well as they think.

It never ceases to amaze that the people who blamed Sarah Palin for the assassination attempt on Gabby Giffords and wanted her arrested for attempted murder are shocked, shocked! that Trump would say democrats are trying to kill him.

Not to mention that an avowed anti-Trumper would use such fear and hyperbole to scare people into voting for Harris. It's not just that electing Trump will crash the Stock Market and/or get us involved in WW3, but now it will be Civil War. Imagine, war & destruction right here in the USA...

He has a point; the left has been relentless in trying to get rid of him. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if his political enemies are somehow connected with these assassination attempts. Trump is not desperate; in fact, he is supremely confident of beating Harris.

I heard they like to hang out in the basement of a pizza shop in DC. You know, the one that doesn't have a basement. /s

I really hate to say it, but I am sure many patriotic Americans think that if Trump wins again, there will be several more assassination attempts against him.

It is insane the absolute hatred of one man, and not one leftist can coherently explain what that hatred it.

All they have is he beat their queen and if "incited" an insurrection in which none of them can say what he said or did to do the inciting.

At this point, people supporting Trump must be mentally deficient, and Trump knows it. He knows he can lie and make up any alternative reality he wants and they'll just gobble it up wholesale.

Clearly you haven't been listening then. Is it really that hard to understand that the VAST majority of Americans, by several million, have never supported dirty Donald and have never voted for such a despicable man? A man who is a convicted felon, been accused of sexual assault by over two dozen women, been accused of rape, cheated on all three of his wives, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars during a political campaign to keep his porn star mistresses silent, has disparaged gold star families, called soldiers "suckers and losers", called one of Americans biggest foes "a genius" and said he 'fell in love' with an authoritarian dictator who murders his own citizens if they disobey or try to escape, who downplayed a deadly virus which may have led to tens of thousands of Americans dying during Covid and who tried to destroy the ACA that helps millions of Americans afford health insurance and keeps insurance carriers from denying coverage to those with pre-existing conditions. And that's not even mentioning inciting an attempted insurrection which actually did happen no matter how much Trump's whiny boot lickers stick their head in the sand.

If you still think that a cogent argument against Trump hasn't been made, you must have your fingers in your ears and are clearly suffering from something called 'extreme denial'.

The fact that we have to choose to repeatedly oppose completely ridiculous and unworthy comments, or ignore some topics, or face coc violations, does not speak well for what goes on here.

In the name of "free speech" we have to accept comments that are an insult to everyones intelligence.

It is way out of control.

And still some trumpists want Crooked Donald the "Moocher" who for whatever reason wanted Alabama in on hurricane 'action.'

Trumpists want more of this kind of bull! What a disaster!

After all of Trump's bullshit last time, this election will have more scrutiny placed on it than any other, with election officials everywhere making damn sure that they have their ducks in a row, procedurally speaking. It won't matter, though. If Trump loses, he WILL cry foul, and WILL for the second time try to find a way to illegally usurp power, violence included.

Make no mistake about it — because he sees the presidency as an ultimate get out of jail free card, Trump will sacrifice the Republic for his own sake in a heartbeat. It means nothing to him. He's already tried it once, and even his supporters know it. Apparently, they don't care. Apparently, they are every bit as un-American as he is.

This weekend Trump and Co. were calling Democrats the enemy within, when again the exact opposite is true. THEY are the enemy within, and are literally grooming their followers for violence. It's a cult of anti-American stupidity that can't be reasoned with from outside the bubble. As we've already seen, they'll believe Trump over anything. If he says they have to revolt to "save the country," then they'll revolt.

Get ready.

Projection is a strategy for Trump. He tells his followers that Dems are doing things that he is either doing himself, or wanting to do, to create a kind of permission structure that makes it seem not so bad, or even fair and warranted on his part.

And the troglodytes fall for it every time.

Over 17 million primary voters all across the country made a twice impeached, convicted felon and election subverting traitor who calls the Jan 6 insurrectionists "great patriots" the Republican candidate for president. There is no shortage of "fanatical wackjobs," it would seem.

And plenty of them have power. There are all kinds of MAGA idiots in government at the local, state and federal levels.

Even Vance refused to answer clearly during the debate with Walz. Basically, he said 'of course' they would graciously admit their defeat as long as the election was "free and fair", but they reserve the right to declare it wasn't free and fair which they are clearly set to declare if Harris wins and have already set up the groundwork to claim fraud yet again with zero evidence. It's what they do, they are liars and cheaters and justify their actions because they believe they have white capitalist Jesus on their side.

And Vance said somewhere that unlike Pence, he would have rejected certification on Jan 6.

Stating a willingness to subvert elections and the Constitution should be a disqualifier, but in Trump world it's a plus and gets you chosen for VP.
