NewsNation host and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams clashed with House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) on Monday over whether he would ask former President Donald Trump to concede if he loses the 2024 election.

During an interview with Jordan on Dan Abrams Live, Abrams asked bluntly, "If Trump loses, will you tell him to concede?"

Jordan replied, "Well, he's not gonna lose, and if he loses, he will concede like he did last time."

"He didn't concede! He never conceded!" shot back Abrams, to which Jordan responded, "Power was turned over last time, for goodness sake. That's how it works! And President Trump did that. He left the White House, Joe Biden came in, and we've had three-and-a-half years of ridiculous, crazy policy."

Abrams asked again, "I'm gonna try one more time on that question. If he loses, are you going to tell him to concede?"

Jordan dodged the question for a second time, replying, "Well, if he loses, he loses, but he's not going to lose."

"There's no possible way, there's no way, no universe where he could lose?" questioned Abrams. "In a race where he's favored by about 54% at this point, there's no possible way he could lose?"

Jordan answered, "No, I mean, that could happen. I don't think it's gonna happen. I think he's going to win. That's what I'm saying. I think he's going to win, everything points to us taking back the Senate, and everything points to us increasing our majority in the House."

"If he loses. If. If," declared Abrams.

"If? Well, I'm not gonna deal in hypotheticals," said Jordan. "I'm focused on the next eight days."

After Jordan continued to dodge the question and instead champion Trump's record in office, Abrams concluded, "Alright, so you won't answer it directly, but I hear you."

If Trump loses he will "burn it all down". In his mind an America without him leading it doesnt deserve to live.

What part of that do you imagine was inspired by liberal policies or governance?

Has it occurred to you that events like that might actually be inspired by generations of conservatives protecting abusive police from accountability?

With any luck Kamala will be able to turn on the light and chase the fascist cockroaches back into hiding where they can feed on each other and leave sane folk alone.

Why are all these MAGAs refusing to say Trump should concede if he loses? Because they are afraid of losing favor with the king.

I would say there is a 95% chance he wont concede.  Nothing is quite 100%.

Trump is entirely transactional.  He will propose to concede on the condition that he serves no time in prison for his past crimes and any future ones, and that all monetary damages against him be reversed.

Well, it was probably that or be arrested. I keep seeing MAGA use this talking point to get us to disregard January 6, and claim there was a peaceful transfer of power, as if Trump actually deeply respects our system or laws. But anyone with any sense knows this is bullshit. The fact that Trump didn’t have to be physically dragged out of the White House is not a legitimate point of pride.

I heard this somewhere, doubt that it's true, but it wouldn't surprise me ....that the former 'president' traitor dismissed all staff on the day of President Biden's inauguration ....like I said, doubt it's true, and if he dismissed them if they would actually have left or if he actually had such authority, but it wouldn't surprise if he were to try and pull such a stunt.

Rumor wrapped around a kernel of misinformation?

Everything about the transition between U.S. President Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, was rocky, thanks in large part to Trump's refusal to concede his November 2020 election loss and his long but ultimately failed quest to remain in power up to the   last minute .

News cycles between the 2020 presidential election and Biden's inauguration were   beset   by stories of Trump administration officials' refusal to cooperate with Biden's transition team.

Perhaps the final publicly obvious sign of this chaos came when the newly inaugurated first couple walked the final stretch to the White House after Biden's swearing in. As Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden stood outside, it took an   awkward moment   longer than it should have for the doors to be opened for them.

.  The White House traditions were long and thought to be set in stone.  The Head usher ascends to that position having served in almost every capacity possible during his or her White House career. The problem started in 2017 when Melania abruptly brought in Timothy Harleth from the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C.

Previously head ushers basically have to be incapacitated or die to be removed and the process has a certain tradition to ascend to the top slot. Up until 2011 when the position opened again and the Obamas hired Angela Reid from the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City.  Two months into the Trump White House, Melania fired Angela.  Two months later she hired Harleth.

Not having had any communications with the Trump's prior to, or during the inauguration, and believing Harleth to be a Trump insider, the Bidens sent word to the WH at 11:30PM to let Harleth know he was done at midnight.

The real story is that Trump gave the rest of the staff the day off in retaliation.

This led to an awkward moment when the Biden's arrived at the WH and were locked out, left standing outside waiting for anyone to open the door.

So the Obama's broke with tradition by hiring someone, a black woman, for the role of head usher.

The Trump's for no apparent reason fired her around April 2017 and hired a long time Trump employee.

Biden, not wanting any Trump loyalist in charge of the WH, fired Harleth.

It remains to be seen if Robert B Downing will remain the head usher if Harris prevails.

It's probably obvious that he wont stay long of Trump returns to the WH.
