S exist and abusive attacks on women, like “your body, my choice” and “get back to the kitchen,” have surged across social media since Donald Trump’s reelection, according to an analysis from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue.
An X post from White nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes last Tuesday night saying, “Your body, my choice. Forever,” has been viewed more than 90 million times and reposted more than 35,000 times. Between Thursday and Friday, the ISD recorded a 4,600% increase in mentions of the phrase on X. And a number of women on TikTok posted videos saying their comments had been filled with users posting the phrase.
“Nick Fuentes” was still trending on X and TikTok on Monday. The phrase “we own your body” was also trending on TikTok, although many of the videos featured women pushing back on the trend.
“Your body, my choice” is an apparent subversion the phrase “my body, my choice,” which was used by women as a rallying cry in support of reproductive rights.
The rise in harassment signals that far-right online trolls and extremists feel emboldened by the outcome of an election that many had viewed as a referendum on women’s reproductive rights . On the campaign trail, Trump himself came under fire for comments about women, including that he would protect women whether “they like it or not.” Vice President-elect JD Vance also took heat for comments about women, including deriding “childless cat ladies” and calling Vice President Kamala Harris “trash.”
Many of those trolls are part of the so-called “manosphere,” which the ISD describes as online “misogynistic communities that vary from anti-feminism to more explicit, violent rhetoric towards women.”
And as with many types of online provocations, experts worry that this type of harassment could spill over into the offline world.
Already, the ISD said, “Young girls and parents have used social media to share instances of offline harassment” involving the phrase “your body, my choice.”
“They include the phrase being directed at them within schools or chanted by young boys in classes,” according to the report, published Friday.
At least one American school district sent a warning to parents this week, informing them that students had used the phrase to target girls at school.
“In the days after the election, we have received reports of some students using the phrase, ‘Your body, my choice,’ often directed at female students,” Cory Hirsbrunner, the superintendent of Stevens Point School District in Wisconsin, said in a e-mail to parents Monday that was shared with CNN. “It is simply unacceptable for students to use any language that is threatening in nature. Any students found to have violated school district policy will be subject to disciplinary action.”
In some cases, X and TikTok users responded to posts saying “your body, my choice” with vague threats of retaliatory violence.
Other, similar posts have also gone viral on X in recent days, including one from Jon Miller, a former contributor to conservative media outlet TheBlaze, saying , “women threatening sex strikes like LMAO as if you have a say,” which received 85 million views. (The post appeared to refer to conversations among young liberal women across TikTok and Instagram about South Korean feminist movement in which straight women refuse to marry , have children, date or have sex with men.)
Posts calling for the repeal of the 19th Amendment, which gives women the right to vote, also surged 663% on X last week, compared to the prior week, the ISD reported.
X did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The platform’s harassment policy generally prohibits only targeted abuse of specific individuals.
A TikTok spokesperson said “your body, my choice” violates the platform’s community guidelines and that content with mentions of the phrase would be removed unless it is explicitly speaking out against such language. TikTok removed three videos identified by CNN that appeared to suggest threats of retaliatory violence.
The ratcheting up of violent online rhetoric also comes as Black people across the country last week received anonymous, racist text messages referencing slavery and telling them they were “selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation,” raising further concerns about violence in the wake of the election. Federal and state authorities are working to find the origins of the messages.
We live in a sick society.
Damn parents.
Damn society.
Between this and the racist messages that have been going out across the country telling black and brown kids to report for slavery, among other things, there is something very sick indeed.

It's like trained monkey's performing. Soros funded activist group seeds a story, progressives flip out and try and start a moral panic.
Nick Fuentes and the ISD. [deleted][✘]
And the boys using it as a taunt in school are "progressives" trying to do, what?
They're not. You know it, I know it, and goddamit, Seans fucking knows it!
I am just about sick to death of the lies and the bullshit that gets thrown around here every fucking day!!!!!
yes...I'm pissed
I'm sure that happened. Everybody probably forgot their phones though and somehow it wasn't recorded. Crazy how often that happens.
Its a hopeless case on NT, as every comment is considered equal.
MAGAs will argue that the 90 million views are all progressives trying to denigrate the real Americans.
“nd the boys using it as a taunt in school are "progressives" trying to do, what?
Just so we are clear. If it's true and a couple of teenagers taunted someone, this is a national story worthy of attention?
Because it's funny how angrily dismiss any similar story when the victims of harassment aren't progressives. Every time progressives harass a Trump story, you think it's national news now? And every story someone like the libs of tik tok documents a teacher or somonis else saying something offensive, you will use those statements to tar all progressives. Just so you are consistent.
Of course most of them are. Progressives eat this stuff up. They have an entire media complex designed to amplify people like Fuentes. If Fuentes were to die, progressives would create another one. Haven't you caught on to the pattern yet?
How many teenagers do you think are represented in the 90 million views?
I would walk away but that's what they want. They won't admit it but they do want an echo chamber
u think are represented in the 90 million views?
Probably a lot. Progressives eat this stuff up once they make it a story.
Just look who is amplifying it. Left wing media and social media activists.
I hear that. It's hard when it seems so one sided most times.
The only reason they want they us around is so they can occasionally own the libs. They're not here for productive discussion. Not when all they do is lie and spread misinformation
and THAT'S the truth.
How terrible for you to be victimized this way.
Why would right wing media amplify complaints about themselves? Especially when the particulars are pretty indefensible.
Is this a widespread national crisis, or more likely, an isolated incident; because many of these irrelevant supposedly true stories never show up or are not supported elsewhere in the media.
Trying to have a productive discussion with a progressive leftist is literally impossible.
What lies and misinformation are you referring to?
It has received tens of thousands of likes, as have similar comments. And these are just the people who went on line in the last few days. So, maybe not as isolated as you suggest.
Does that mean you disapprove of it? Because it would be nice if you said so directly. You could even visit these commenters and condemn their speech and attitude.
Lol. a taunting ticket for mocking Nick Fuentes.
Couldn't prove my point any better. Fuentes is a sacred cow of the left.
It's fine. We're fine. We're all fine....said not one woman yet.
You're goddamned right I do. I have means of protecting myself. Don't get violent unless you want violence back
e post appeared to refer to conversations among young liberal women across TikTok and Instagram about South Korean feminist movement in which straight women refuse to marry , have children, date or have sex with men.
That should do wonders for abortion clinics business.
Normal people will, of course, carry on being normal.
I’m happy to see that you have very little information on Korea. They have the lowest fertility rate in the world and it is a huge concern to the SK government and there are many incentives for women to marry and have children and none of them seem to be working. Add a group of pissed of women that are protesting and you have a bigger problem than you anticipated.
SK is the carney in the coal mine when it comes to this most all industrialized countries are having the same problem.
Cheers.
Why would that make you happy? What an odd thing to say.
But, your ignorant assumption is just that.
Add a group of pissed of women that are protesting and you have a bigger problem than you anticipated.
The problem predates this century and it certainly, in a country that allows abortion until birth, bears no relation to this tempest in a teapot.
SK is the carney in the coal mine when it comes to this most all industrialized countries are having the same problem.
Yes, I've discussed the dangers of population collapse many times heres, and South Korea is the prime example.
To be fair, South Korea has a number of other structural cultural and economic issues in their society that significantly overshadow any feminist protest.
Hi Sean,
Good to see you have your A game on, must be the election.
OK, let’ see what we have, my assumption isn’t ignorant at all and it’s not odd since I have been reading your responses or non responses for years so it is your history that I refer to.
I agree the problem predates this century but there have been massive changes in that ‘’problem’’ since 2008 and they do allow adoration until birth and it does bear a relationship to what you refer to as a ‘’tempest in a teapot.’’
In 2008 the abortion rate was 21.9 per 1K women. In the latest stats is fallen to 3.3 per 1K women. In the meantime the fertility rate has been falling like a rock it is currently 0.72 children born/woman.
Kinda of gives you a different view on it, don’t you think. Looking at it a bit differently in 2023 the birth rate was 4.5 per 1K and the death rate was 6.9 per 1K.
Seoul, we have a problem.
Like any country Korea does have problems and in my responses to Sean I listed the biggest one that they have, the feminist protest is simply adding to that problem.
If you're interested in additional information on the subject, I found this interesting.
The stats I post to Sean 5.1.3 telll the same story, the way video explained going into the future is quite concerning for Korea and any other country facing the same situation. There is very little immigration to Korea and many Koreans leave Korea to live in the US and other countries.
Excellent video.
I found it interesting. I was completely unaware of the university structure there and how the competitiveness is so discouraging.
I find myself looking for parallels in the US and thinking about how we avoid their mistakes.
It is brutal, to say the least, the work environment is the same.
What would those be? I admit I'm ignorant about many other countries problems
Without making you watch the video, apparently the economy in SK pretty much revolves around a few massive companies. (Hyundai, Kia, Samsung, etc). The only way to really prosper personally is to get into the upper echelons of those companies, and the only way to do that is to graduate from one of about 4 universities. Getting into one of those is crazy competitive, and parents spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on private schools and tutors... and then their kids still don't make it.
The odds of success have become so poor that people don't want to play the game anymore. Problem is... South Korean culture views you as a terrible parent if you're not willing/able to spend that money and drive your kid to misery. So it's easier to avoid the pressure and the shame altogether and just not have kids.
Thank-you for that
Not that much different than the US
Thanks for answering my question, Jack
I don't think we're that close yet.
Yeah, we have a small part of our folks who will sell their souls for an Ivy League degree, but we still have millions of ways to become very successful without one.
I think it's a great case study, though. I always try to learn as much as I can from other people's mistakes.
Hmmm what about that scandal with all those parents buying a slot for their kids in prestigious colleges like Felicity Huffman? People pay out the wazoo for SAT tutors. They can't stand to let their kids fail on their own
The pay to play scandal was a really, really small number of people, and it was as much about image as it was about its academics.
SAT tutors in the US are not that expensive. We spent far less than $1,000 on tutoring for each of my kids. It was a great investment, not because they got into better schools but because they got bigger scholarships. The SAT tutoring paid for itself many times over.
I think our bigger concern is the unrealistic promises we make to our kids about how a college education will impact their life. We have a lot of kids who borrow huge amounts of money to pay for degrees that will never give them a chance of recouping that cost. But at no point does anybody in the process tell them they shouldn't spend $300,000 to become a kindergarten teacher.
We have had two full generations who've been through this now, and a lot of them are pretty pissed off. It's hard to blame them. The saddest part of all of that is that the work we have devalued and told them they should not pursue is the work that will not be replaced by AI or outsourced to some third world country.
Chat GPT is not going to be able to rewire your house.
I dunno, just my observations
My daughter had no tutors for the ACT we couldn't afford it. We did pay for AP classes which were worth it. She got a partial scholarship from the school and a scholarship from the state lottery system. She also took out loans. BUT...she studied nursing. Got her BSN, went to work in the NICU at the Children's Hospital and had her loans paid off within 5-6 years. She done good
I want to say we paid about $500 or $600 per kid.
My daughter went just long enough to increase the scholarship level at a school she had already chosen. She ended up getting about $10,000 in additional scholarship money over the 4- years, so it was kind of a no-brainer in the end.
My son wanted automatic admission to Texas a&m, so he went longer and worked harder. The tutoring increased his SAT score from about 1270 to about 1440. He ended up going to a different school, but the difference in SAT score was worth over $40,000 in scholarship money.
But in going through that with both of my kids, I just saw how rigged the system is against average students. These colleges artificially inflate their prices so the kids can qualify for more loan money. So these kids graduate with a relatively low paying gray collar job and $1,000 a month student loan payment. No wonder they're not buying houses and starting families..
In that sense, I think we can learn a lot from South Korea and how badly things can go when the concept of upward mobility becomes just a token.
Trump has enabled, empowered, and encourage this kind of talk for years now, and it's only getting worse. These are the people who support him.
And the democrats haven't done the same, or even worse??? LOL!
Have they?
And so you justify this?
Well if we're going to define "the people who support" only using disgusting extremists, then we must also conclude that "the people who support" Biden will eagerly burn your home and/or business over something that happened 1000 miles away and didn't involve you.
You already do
I wouldn't expect you to remember that I voted for Biden.
The point is that we can choose to deal in emotional nonsense or we can choose a more mathematically defensible approach, acknowledging that the extremists in both camps are small groups of odious and generally ignorant individuals.
How terrible for you to be victimized this way.
There are actual victims. You just need a little empathy to be willing to see them.
Asians attacked in record numbers because China had to be demonized over Covid.
Women who have died or been left sterile as a result of the Right’s obsession with banning abortion.
Many people injured or killed on January 6 - plus members of Congress and our system itself threatened - because Trump and others spent months spreading the lie that the 2020 election had been stolen.
Schools in Springfield, Ohio closed because of threats made in response to Trump and MAGA claiming that Haitian refugees eat people’s pets.
Multiple cases of violence against minorities and legal immigrants in response to anti-immigrant language from MAGA.
…
Big bad boys claiming ‘their choice’’, that is probably bravado to cover their insercurity and having a whistle dick.
Can't wait to see parents reactions when guys show up to pick up their daughter wearing a t-shirt with "Your Body My Choice".
That would require a serious set of balls....
Better warn them that not only is that t shirt ignorant but Dad may bring out his equalizer to help explain it to dumbo.
