Pretty heady stuff, but a brilliant commentary.

NO POLITICS. NO TROLLING.

IMO it's bigger than we can possibly see or hear, even with optical and radio-telescopes, and so whether or not it is infinite will remain a question.  For all we know, what we DO know, could be less than a mere microbe in the universe that we do know, and even the galaxy of which our solar system is a tiny part is nothing but a dot on a slide for a microscope being observed by a living creature that is greater or more different than even our imaginations could possibly comprehend.  Am I saying we are insignificant as being of importance in the universe?  You're damn right I am.

Part of the argument... We can "see" roughly 13.8 billion years/light years in every direction. Now let's say there is someone at the very edge of that 13.8 billion light years. What do they see? Logically, they would be able to see 13.8 billion years in every direction as well. Wash, rinse repeat.

You can ask the question, and maybe your guess of an answer is as much of a possibility as a countless number of others - it's the infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters - one will come up with YOUR answer.

I juat re-read my reply to you and want to make it clear that I meant no insult.  My theory is just as vulnerable to the monkeys as yours is.

It's estimated that the whole universe is approximately 93 billion light years in diameter. That's a big universe.

93 billion light years in diameter.

And what lies beyond those measly 93 billion light years?
