Good life advice for us all I ran across this today and it struck a note with me and I felt compelled to share. I am going to look at this quote every morning and try to live my life accordingly

I have been away from NT for quite some time because the constant hate speech, crap slinging and shouting down the other side rather than trying to discuss anything became too annoying to endure. The Entitlement Mindset

Don't get me wrong, I love and use all the modern electronic gadgets and am thankful for the creature comforts of the modern age, but there is a part of me that longs for the good old days and simpler times. I miss many things, but having multiple levels of the family in the neighborhood is high on the list, when I was younger my great grandparents, grandparents and our family were within...

We all suffer through "one of those days", but do they ever come in clusters for you? I find that the quality I perceive in "the day" is directly proportional to the company I keep and who I choose to allow to annoy me. As I get older the group that annoys me is shrinking as I simply avoid them.  

Life is not supposed to be easy and it rarely is, but I was raised to believe and still believe that success (personal success) is within our own grasp.

Some people view every challenge, every hardship that they or anyone else encounters as a problem that "someone" preferably not them should solve and that someone else should pay for. Perhaps all that is required is time and effort for people to overcome challenges on their own.

I was raised in a fairly humble, rural setting where we all had responsibilities (chores) and were expected to contribute to the welfare of the family unit, the church and the community.
