Mini, I'm saddened by a loss so dear to your heart.  What can anyone say or do to make a difference?  I wish I had the words,  I wish I could find them for you at this time, but I know only time will attempt to make things better.  It is those of us who are left behind who have to bear the burden.

This Song is by Michael Murphy

Another beautiful choice for me, Six. Thank you. I have Murphy's CD "Horse Legends" with this song on it; it has always been a favorite song of mine.

Joey broke my horse, Black Magic, to the saddle for me. He liked to ride. There is a horse in this video that looks like Black, with the star on his forehead. My avatar is a likeness of Ranger, the horse I broke and had for 23 years. All of my pictures were lost and I found this on line, which looks exactly like him. His white blaze was wider, but it is the closest I have found.

Thank you for your response, and your words.

Hi,

I've been posting to my Blog for the last week or so... getting almost no reaction.

Now, that could be because no one is interested in what I post (  tough guy  ). But it could also be because posts to Blogs don't show up in the "Newest Comments" and "Newest Discussions" pages. Blog posts appear briefly on the NT Home page, in "Latest Activity", but they quickly fall off and are lost forever.

So... if you have appreciated my posts in the past, please stop by at my Blog, and if you like what you see there you can:

   1) Stop by from time to time...

   2) Subscribe via RSS. RSS is a really, really REALLY good way to get your news. YOUR news, whatever YOU want to get. I've posted a tutorial.

Thanks,

Bob

I don't know what happened Mini.  If you look down 7 comments you'll see another comment by me, but I didn't see where I was following you.  I know I was as the comment below indicates somewhat, but as you can see I'm the last person to follow you at least at this time.  I looked through your followers and didn't see my avatar.  Then looked down the comments and saw my comment when you responded to me following you.  You're in my "Followers" group on my personal page.  Anyway, all's find that ends up well.  Again thank you for accepting my friendship request or follow request.

Six,

That is a beautiful video; thank you for being so thoughtful as to post it for me.

There are still some little gremlins hiding in the site that Perrie is still working on. We just have o sigh, roll our eyes, and patiently wait for her to work her miracles.

I'm honored to have you as a friend.

Mimi.....

To give you a little background on myself, I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas. The same town of both Kansas University, and Haskel Indian Nations University. From grade school through high school, I attended classes where we had a good influx of NA students from many tribes. Because of that we were constantly enriched in our knowledge of NAs and their history through special events, and guest speakers. I believe we had more exposure than just about any other school district in the United States.

My father grew up outside of Cherokee, Oklahoma, and my Mother from Topeka, Kansas. Both came from very bigoted families. Through their education, and military experience in WWII, both agreed that they would raise their children to be open minded and accepting of difference among cultures. They succeeded in my opinion.

In the military, I teamed up with a Georgia man that had roots from the Yuchi Tribe. I got him through avionics, and he saved my ass in survival school. We maintained solid contact until his untimely death in a flight deck accident in 1987. He was as close to a brother that I never had.

I have a bit more knowledge than most Americans of European ancestry. I'm a better person for it too.

Maybe he acknowledges he was wrong and you were right. Good characters will do that. We all make mistakes and sometimes say things we don't mean to say. The greatness come from acknowledging we did it and sincerely apologizing, not because it is politically correct to do but because it is the right and moral thing to do
