A Special Monologue for the Republican in Your Life
Tonight’s monologue is for Republicans. If you have someone in your life who is either planning to vote for Trump or thinking about it, please send this to them. Ask a Republican you love and respect to watch this. The whole thing. As a personal favor to you.

Imagine any other PotUS in our history saying what Trump has said (and doing what Trump has done).

Thanks for posting that. I rarely foward things to people I know-- I especially don't usually send political stuff. But Kimmel really did an exceptional job on this one so I do intend to send it to a few people...

It is starting to concern me that more and more NT members are using youtubes as seeds.   Guess it means I'll just have to spend more time watching movies.

There was no transcript available.   This is the only way for me to get this content out.

Not your fault.  I'm the only NT member who has this problem.  My comment was not a complaint, it was a lament.

Not the only one, I never used Twitter much except for the few videos of Ukraine.

Now it's asking me to verify an email address that isn't mine.

Good riddance to Elon Musk's private channel of hate.

As far as using it for a cite or reference, the hypocrisy is egregious.

The same few people who decry using Wikipedia, champion posting the rants, rumors and

unvetted misinformation on Twitter/X now.

It's a bad joke.

Twitter has gotten a lot worse. If you search "Biden-Harris" for example you are going to get an overflowing sewer full of bile.  Before Musk that would not have been the case.

If you only follow sources that you trust and know of , twitter is still a worthwhile tool to gather information. Most of the major news outlets and blogs and podcasts break stories on twitter and it is quite easy to contain your twitter viewing to those.

Besides youtube I can't use X (Twitter), Instagram, google or its gmail, wikipedia, Yahoo (China didn't block it but Yahoo closed its door here itself), Facebook (is it now called Meta?), a lot of news sources and I'm beside myself that CTV (Canada Television News) has just stopped providing service here.  At least I can still get Canada's Global News, ABC, CBS, npr.

Occasionally something like can be a scam,After you confirm its  not your emaii address they ask you to let them know your real email address. Then they might ask for a bit more information "to make sure its you".

I believe you've mentioned that while you can't use google you can use Bing for searches?

That's right.  I do use Microsoft Bing for searches, and the Chinese English version of Baidu for searches as well, and for music videos and other videos and some movies I can use the Chinese sites bilibili and Yukou - not as good as youtube, but at least it's something.  While I'm REALLY pissed at the loss of CTV I can still get a lot of other news sites, a lot more than I mentioned above.  I do pay 100 yuan a month (=US$14) for hundreds of movies that were released up to 3 years ago, and I've been watching 1 or 2 for the very first time each day.

I have the popular apps like Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix, but for news and current events YouTube is a one stop shop. Most days YouTube is my first morning check-in, before here!

I check my email first thing, where I get a few daily news sources such as Canada's Global News, USA TODAY, Jerusalem Post and for a morning laugh, Crooks and Liars. and then I open NT. and check out more news sources later.  I don't feel I'm uninformed.

Well in this case if you saw it you wouldn't find it interesting-- or worth watching.

Why? Because it was totally about American politics, something  which I don't think you are interested in.

I found it to be worth watching-- for me. I'm a American citizen. I live in the U.S. And in a few days I will be voting-- for someone who's policies will affect me personally--for the next four years!

All I said is that I couldn't watch it.  I didn't say that NOBODY should watch it.  Of course it means something to you, and of course it should mean fuck all to me.  My big problem is that I'm a normal person with a normal dose of curiosity, that's all.

The unfortunate thing is that none of this should be news to anyone.  This will change no minds, as much as it should.  That’s just where we are as a nation.

This video amplifies America's biggest problem , there are 75 million of our people who will vote for this utterly inexplicable buffoonish insanity.  Trump is mentally ill and has been for a long time , but presumably most of his voters dont have that excuse.

It is an amazing phenomenon.   The more Trump engages in bad behavior the more determined his supporters are to vote for him.

Indeed.

When left to being bullied, the weak…those without the wherewithal to stand up for what is right, will acquiesce to anyone, anything that gives them succor, not realizing they are being played as suckers.

Two questions all voters should ask their selves.

Republicans: If Trump was a Democrat would I vote for him

Democrats: If Harris was a Republican would I vote for her.

I'm not looking for comments, just suggesting a question voters should ask their selves.

I'm a registered Republican my answer is HELL NO

Nope. I ain't gonna do it!

I not gonna ask myselves those two questions.

Why?

Because what I care about is each individual politician.

(But maybe that's just me?)

Trump is unfit.   It is irrational, irresponsible, and unpatriotic to vote for him.   Party is irrelevant.

Democrats: If Harris was a Republican would I vote for her.

If Trump is the D candidate then yes I would vote for Harris as a Republican.   Here we need to know who she is running against.
