I believe it has activated a previously unknown portion of the human mind that controls idiocy.
Not that it certainly has its uses ( not the idiocy lobe ), but for all the good it has done it may have done just as much harm. But I am old so take it with a grain of salt.
15 Mind Blowing Coincidences You Won't Believe Happened
Interesting video!
BTW, I am an Astrologer-- I've been studying it for over 35 years. I come across "coincidences" like this rather frequently-- I've come to realize thsat there are "forces at play" beyond those of which most people are aware.
Unfortunately most of the weirdest stuff I've discovered are in video form, and since the majority of people on NT have the attention span of a three year old, I find it really doesn't pay to put in the effort to post videos as most people don't watch them.
But, if anyone's is interested, I'll post a few-- if you're searching for extra weird stuff you won't be disappointed!
Here's one that someone posted on NV, probably over 10 years ago. A great find seeded by...anyone remember her?..."California Girl". (Its short-- and as is the case with many of these, it gets better right at or near the end so please watch the whole thing):
She later changed her screenname because she didn't want to have people associate her with that state-- she was worried if people thought of her as californian they'd assume she was weird...
Later I formed a private group on Newsvine called "The Evil Foursome". IIRC, it consisted of myself, Ed Kain, The Doctori, and California Girl. It was one of many satirical groups I created on NV. (At one point I had started over 150 groups-- many had only one or two members . All for purposes of doing some humorous trolling of some of the more paranoid idiots who inhabited that site...
Ok, I think whoever made this video is a wee bit paranoid. I've seen rainbows close to the ground all my life. Everyone has seen a rainbow in an oil slick in a parking lot.
Anyway, I like that song. But he can't dance, and he's a fashion victim.
Did you notice the # of views on the YouTube page?
BTW, here's a little "secret". A while back someone I knew who was familiar with the inner workings of YouTube told be that they (YouTube) sometimes fakes the view count. On popular videos they greatly inflate the numbers of views shown. They do this as it creates a sensation on Social media sites-- and then more and more people who haven't already seen the video go to YouTube to see it.
(I'm not 100% sure that's true-- but it seems to jibe with what I know...)
I do remember the term, but that's about it, not sure what it referred to.
"Rickroll" was a fairly childish prank that was "a thing" on the I"net for a while. Basically a person would post a link to some current topic-- and regardless of what the link supposedly led to, it was always to that Rick Astley video. After a person clicked on it, people in the Internet forum would gleefully post:
YOU'VE BEEN RICKROLLED!!!
(As I mentioned...it was a pretty juvenile prank!
For more on Rickrolling, here's a link to the Wikipedia article (no this isn't an attempt at Rickrolling...):
Unless I'm in a real rush I always read comments on YouTube videos!
Apparently part of the culture there is for regular users to compete to see who can make the wittiest or cleverest comment. Many of the comments aren't all that great but sometimes there are some that are really, really, clever!
I don't usually, but some of the ones on this video were really entertaining - they were about being Rickrolled. "My algebra teacher told us these were the answers to the test!" and so forth.
Speaking of gay videos...here's one that's apparently an annual event on Fire Island (Two towns on Fire Island are popular areas for gays). I am seeding this because its weird-- but also because it will probably offend some folks here...which is always a plus!
FIRE ISLAND INVASION
But so much for drag queens-- here's what life was like in a more "straight" type of gay disco-- very authentic portrayal of what it was like in a "leather bar" in the late 1970s, the height of the Disco era:
In congress today, she spoke for a record three 3 hours and 58 minutes covering a variety of topics – all in a response to being asked “how will we pay for the Green New Deal?” Her monologue of an answer consisted of a myriad of reasons to vote for the Green New Deal as well as an explanation as to why we must immediately do away with Daylight Savings Time.
“If we change our times with the sole intent of increasing the amount of daylight we receive, that’s an extra hour of sun shine that will warm the planet. That’s one extra hour per day of extra heat warming our already unstable planet. We need to repeal Daylight Savings Time as a primary measure to decrease the rate of climate change. Less hours of sun shine equal less heat hitting Earth’s surface. We’re running out of time!” – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
I'll reserve comment since I am trying to avoid politics..
I probably shouldn't have posted it. (Inserting politics into a discussion of this type can have a negative impact). I had thought that people would just notice the hoax aspect but i realized that inevitably someone might use it to launch into a political discussion-- so please delete that comment [#20).
I came across this site years ago. Its a brilliant satire of paranoid people. (Inspired, no doubt, but YUGE number of conspiracy theories the growth of the Internet has helped spread):
Lots of new information, including expanded construction and usage tips, vital psychotronic deflection theory, an overview of AFDB alternatives, a guide to potential mind control enemies, and the never-before-elucidated history of the AFDB. Get yours before it's banned by the forces of mind control! ISBN 1-58160-376-2 (Also available from Amazon.com )
Warning....
You cannot unsee this...
That's hilarious and weird.
Yep, and over 18 million views.. It is damn funny.
Watch "The Super Chicken Cartoon Theme Song" on YouTube
Nice! LOL
I saw an interview with a Gray Alien on Face Book. That was weird
What weirdness have you found on the internet?
The internet.
But why???
Was there a "hold my beer" in there some where?
And are there Arkansas tags on that truck?
Probably, but the moral here is that it's good to have friends that are, "intellectually barren".
I feel worse for the chair than I do for that fool.
I believe it has activated a previously unknown portion of the human mind that controls idiocy.
Not that it certainly has its uses ( not the idiocy lobe ), but for all the good it has done it may have done just as much harm. But I am old so take it with a grain of salt.
There's a show on MTV called "Ridiculousness" . It has a steady stream of people doing all sorts of stupid people tricks like that.
(And, as you said....the best thing to say about it is..."But why?")
what the......?????
I have no idea LOL
So, I know what my nightmares tonight will feature.
I LOVE Crazy Frog!
Da Fuq? LOL
In keeping with the chicken hero theme ...
(It's not really weird but its fun.)
Nice Nerm!
Appropriate title-- some of those were indeed amongst the weirder videos I've seen!
Not sure if this is weird or flat out creepy.
creepy

RAINBOW SPRINKLER CONSPIRACY
Published on YouTube Aug 5, 2008
I do remember her..
And that is an interesting video.. Thanks!
"What's in our water that causes this!!!!!!!!!"
Um, the water?
She later changed her screenname because she didn't want to have people associate her with that state-- she was worried if people thought of her as californian they'd assume she was weird...

Yes. But realize this: rainbows are put there by The Illuminati!
The so-called "HILARIOUS MUPPETS BLOOPERS"
March 30, 2008
(This one only has had only a mere 9.032.081 views)
* * *
(a "hidden meaning" here-- anyone who wasn't on social media on or about the year 2008 won't know it)
LMFAO.. Animal was/is the best Muppet....I mean drummer ever.
I wonder if anyone here remembers the term "Rickroll"?
It was a"a thing" on the Internet for a while....
I do remember the term, but that's about it, not sure what it referred to.
I do remember the term, but that's about it, not sure what it referred to.
Its THIS.
(After you view that I'll explain further)
Snort. Read the comments! Hilarious!
Anyway, I like that song. But he can't dance, and he's a fashion victim.
I used to love that song. Don't tell anyone, but I still do.
Is it me, or is he wearing mom jeans?
He is, but I remember the 80s being all about mom jeans.

Ah.. Ok.. LOL
Must have worked...just shy of 600 million views..
The Techno Viking is my favorite weird thing on the internet.
That qualifies as weird, but I like the music.
There are always several fun videos that come out during the Christmas Season. Here's one of my favs:
(Again, it starts a bit slow but then picks up...)
THE TWELVE GAYS OF CHRISTMAS
* * *
That video should come with ass chaps and nipple rings..
Credit where it's due, they perform well.

Black-ish ?
REALLY ?
Enough videos for now.
Anyone remember this famous picture? (It appeared right after 9/11):
TOURIST GUY
The "tourist guy" standing on the roof of the World Trade Center, seemingly seconds before the plane hits the tower.
I do remember this and as I recall it was faked?
You have a good memory! Yes it was a fake but it went viral, was emailed worldwide. Millions of people were sure it was real.
Apparently this has gone viral on The Internet:
AOC opposes Daylight Savings Time because “the extra hour of sunlight drastically speeds up climate change”
Daylight Savings Time is at odds with the Green New Deal
In congress today, she spoke for a record three 3 hours and 58 minutes covering a variety of topics – all in a response to being asked “how will we pay for the Green New Deal?” Her monologue of an answer consisted of a myriad of reasons to vote for the Green New Deal as well as an explanation as to why we must immediately do away with Daylight Savings Time.

Is ok, no worries
"The Whitest Kids You Know" is a so-called comedy group. They do some really sick humor. Here's one of their skits:
HOT SISTER
That's disturbing.. LOL
They really push the envelope! Here's another (you did ask for "weird" ...eh?)
CLASSROOM SKIT
Here's one of my all time favourites!
This one starts off really, really slow-- quite boring in fact. But littlemby little it gets weirder and weirder!
Also cool because it features two bizarre themes: Tom Cruise...and Scientology!
(If you didn't think Tom Cruz was really weird before viewing this video-- after seeing it you may change you mind...Heheheh
TOM CRUISE - ON SCIENTOLOGY
I came across this site years ago. Its a brilliant satire of paranoid people. (Inspired, no doubt, but YUGE number of conspiracy theories the growth of the Internet has helped spread):
ALUMINUM FOIL DEFLECTOR BEANIE

Ya know, I like him as an actor, he certainly has the chops for it, but OMG, drop the scientology crap...
This one I will have to put into the "atypical" or, "one off" weirdness... Some context...
The first video is how this group usually performs, and I think they are great...
The second video is....their....not even sure wtf it could be classified as..but the talent is undeniable..
Oh hell no... LOL
