Hey Look Mommy, BIRDS!!!!!
This just made my day

A Thursday morning...Drinking coffee & trying to get myself motivated to pack lunches & get myself ready for work....When all of a sudden Onyx leaps to the top part of the window chasing a bird that flew into it.  She started chittering & my big boy, Ghost came bounding onto the couch to see.  They chittered back and forth and it all made me so happy.

after a few decades in the construction biz, I noticed that you have vinyl windows. either replacement or pretty much standard in newer homes now. those windows typically feature an energy efficient Low E glass, which is a thin reflective metal coating on the glass. that glass looks more reflective under certain light or shade conditions during the day and smaller birds will fly into it thinking they are flying into whatever is being reflected on the exterior. the colonial grids between the glass panes are also invisible to them until it's too late. you can alleviate this problem by either applying a tape to the exterior, which may be unsightly, or buying some monofilament fishing line and attaching it in a few vertical configurations off the exterior surface of the windows. the birds can see that and won't become involuntary kamikazees. on the other hand, consider placing a bird feeder outside the window that gets the bird hits for your cats, since the birds can't see them thru the glass.

Typically our bird feeder does hang outside that window & they usually flock to it & the cats go nuts, BUT this year the squirrels ate a hole in it & some birds nested in it - so we are going to hang a new one, but have to get seed.

My cat, Palooza frequently looks out of our kitchen and living room windows to watch and chatter at the birds. We have a cozy box right next to the one in our kitchen and while it may put some people off, it's on our kitchen table. We move the box and clean the table every evening for dinner... so whatever. It's one of her favorite places.

I know they sense higher energies.

I was once co-teaching a metaphysical course with my old girlfriend in her large loft. Her cat was way down at other end end of the loft when we started and stayed there. At an hour or so into the class we started to lead the class through an energy raising meditation, and then working with higher energies. As soon as we started that section, her cat came scampering in to the area, and jumped up and sat on her lap and started purring.

This and a few other similar incidents with cats have convinced me that they are quite sensitive to these sorts of energies...

(I believe most ancient civilizations that had not lost touch with the natural "Earth Energies" & were apparently quite aware of these characteristics of many animals ..especially, .for example, the ancient Egyptians and Cats).

I follow the Celtic version.  She is considered a "dark" goddess because she is a goddess of death and war.  So many think she is evil when in truth she (for me) is a symbol of strength.  I see her as a Triple Goddess - Macha, Anu and Badb - the maiden, the mother & the crone - birth, life & death.  She (to me) is the essence of the circle of life....

but that's just me.

(An unusual choice IMO jrSmiley_9_smiley_image.gif ):.

Heres' Kali:

So many think she is evil when in truth she (for me) is a symbol of strength.

Well, I noticed than many people are quite judgemental .(Ironically they are often most judgemental about things they know the least about).

This is a bit off topic, but: Generally speaking in the West we think of opposites as being different. But in many eastern philosophies, they see tham as similar-- just opposite extremes of the same quality.  But that's another topic...

I see her as a Triple Goddess - Macha, Anu and Badb - the maiden, the mother & the crone - birth, life & death.  She (to me) is the essence of the circle of life...

That's powerful!

but that's just me.

Well, FWIW, if you were a Hindu you might say: its always just you!

Yes, that its always just you. There's really nothing out there! (Its all "Maya"..illusion) But again, that's a topic for a different discussion.

I am a Pisces.

The stereotype of Pisces of course is very emotionally sensitive. A lot of compassion for the suffering of others. I've found them to often be very Psychic. (Depending, of course,on the rest of their chart).

I could be wrong, but my guess is that you may have some Scorpionic energy in your chart? (& possibly some Aquarius?)

But OTOH,  IMHO your avatar is a lot more "Scorpionic" than the impression you give in your comments (which is much softer and quite Piscean")

Scorpio & Pisces...both water signs, both tending towards being emotionally quite sensitive, both often "spiritual" and/or psychic.... but also different in many ways.

When I googled her, I discovered some interesting things:

  • Hypatia's murder shocked the empire and transformed her into a "martyr for philosophy", leading future Neoplatonists such as Damascius to become increasingly fervent in their opposition to Christianity.
  • During the Middle Ages, Hypatia was co-opted as a symbol of Christian virtue and scholars believe she was part of the basis for the legend of Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
  • During the Age of Enlightenment, she became a symbol of opposition to Catholicism.
  • In the nineteenth century, European literature, especially Charles Kingsley's 1853 novel Hypatia, romanticized her as "the last of the Hellenes". In the twentieth century, Hypatia became seen as an icon for women's rights and a precursor to the feminist movement.

"Opposition to Christianity"..."a symbol of Christian virtue"..."opposition to Catholicism."..."icon for women's rights and a precursor to the feminist movement.'...

Psychic ability is real. its not a religion for me, so I don't try to convince people it is. If they want to fee its a hoax-- that's OK with me!

Sometimes people describe all psychic abilities as clairvoyance, but there are generally considered to be 5 ways psychics get information. In most cases a person that receives psychic information will get it mainly from one of 5 "senses":

1. Clairvoyance:  "Clear seeing".They actually see visual images.

2. Clairaudience: "Clear Hearing". They hear Psychic information .

3. Clairsentience-- "Clear Feeling". Obtaining the info, via physical feelings. (Body sensations). For some people receiving psychic input this way, the sensations may not be frequent..and/or very strong. However for those that do receive most (or all) psychic information this way, it can be more frequent and occasionally quite intense. These people are called "Empaths".

This is a wonderful gift you have, but I think that early in life many Empaths at times didn't like it..they probably get better at learning how to "turn it off" as time goes on. (?)

4. Clairgustance. Clear tasting! Psychic info received by tastes in mouth. (Not as common as some others).

5. Clairalience - "Clear-Smelling".Psychic infor by experiencing smells. Also not as common...

(cont'd in next comment).

Some rare people are naturally born with strong psychic abilities. In more rare cases, the ability develops later in life.

And-- everyone has the ability to become Psychic-- yes, it can be taught. (That ability is "hard-wired" into all of us via Evolution. Most Indigenous peoples have it naturally. But over time most of us have lost touch with the Earth & Nature and surpressed (Not lost-- but surpressed) our Psychic abilities.

In addition, some powerful People/Institutions had a vested interest in keeping people from having those powers. (In order to maintain their own Power-- and/or wealth).

How can I tell if I have other energy in my chart?

Generally a goodly amount water energy (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) especially for 3 maijor things (Sun, Moon, Rising)

And Especially true is your Moon is in water.

Prominent Neptune (i.e. well aspected). Also Aquarius, although  that's a different sort of Psychic power, some people would consider that not to be exactly Psychic but rather Intuitive.

Planets (particularly benefics) in your 12th House.

I have mostly stopped doing peoples' charts and been very busy lately but may be able to take a look at your chartsometime next week-- will let you know.

Actuslly before I posted thsat long answer (which may be useful only to people who knowa lot about Astrology)...is much simpler. Well,if you can distinguish between Psychic input and "regular" thoughts.

I sometimes think of Psychic ability as "knowing something...without knowing how you know".

In your case it might be harder to discern because apparently you have strongly Empathic experiences.

One thing that might help is to "set your intention" to be aware of other Psychic input.

Another way-- set your intention to develop an additional source of input-- for example, to developoneofthe "Clairs".

I forgot to mention another one-- in fact that's my strongest: Claircognizence.

That's just knowing something-- without knowing how you know! Doesn't seem to involve any of the 5 senses-- you just know.

One of perhaps the most common Psychic experiences had by people who generally don't have Psychic experiences: The phone rings. Suddenly you think it must be someone you haven't seen-- or communicated with-- in, say, 20 years. You dismiss that  thought. You pickup the phone-- and it is that person!

How did you know that?

Well, that's Claircognizence. You just know.(knew).

Recently a friend of mine mentioned that she was thinking of getting a pet. Although she's always seemed to me be more of a "dog person" than a "cat person". I recommended  what would be my current  favourite choice-- 2 kittens!

She finally decided to get the  "small white puppy" that she saw in a vision, she ended up with a Maltese puppy.

Anyway, the point of this comment:  In the course of the conversation, she mentioned one of the things she liked best about cats-- that are often quite funny!
