New American Enes Kanter Freedom's Message for Citizens Who Constantly Whine About the Country
people should feel really blessed and lucky to be in America. They love to criticize it, but when you live in a country like Turkey or China or somewhere else, you will appreciate the freedoms you have here," Freedom said. "I feel like they should just please keep their mouth shut and stop criticizing the greatest nation in the world and they should focus on their freedoms and democracy. America gave me everything I had, so I definitely appreciate the United States of America,"

This was so refreshing to see and hear.  It’s sad that immigrants who are legal show so much respect and love for their née country, our exceptional America.  They put to utter shame and humiliation the bi coastal secular progressive elites who are always embarrassed by their country and can only speak contempt for our 1776 America legal immigrants love.

Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter Freedom officially became a U.S. citizen on Monday and told Tucker Carlson during an interview U.S. citizens who do nothing but complain about the country should shut up.

"It seems like people who move here from countries that are not free appreciate the freedoms here much more than a lot of us who grew up with those freedoms. Have you noticed that?" Carlson asked.

"I’m just going to say this and be honest, people should feel really blessed and lucky to be in America.

America gave me everything I had, so I definitely appreciate the United States of America," he added.

The NBA star and outspoken human rights advocate changed his last name to Freedom to celebrate becoming an American citizen.

Freedom further put fellow athletes in the hot seat for saying they support human rights but stay silent when abuses are done in countries where they can make money,

"There are so many athletes, so many actors, so many celebrities out there who are scared because if they criticize China, obviously they will be affected. Endorsement deals, contracts, many would be a factor. They are scared to say anything. But to me, human rights, democracy, and freedom is way more important than anything they can offer me," he said.

If 'America' is so great, how come it's capitol (hill) was overrun by yahoos on the right last January 6, 2021? Was "NBA Star" here when that happened? Where is NBA Star on the mention of the end of democracy had that incident been successful and Donald J. Trump summarily been installed as "dear Leader"?

Somebody has to complain to keep civil rights - rights - apparently in this country that seeks to suppress its people of color if given the opportunity.

Such stupid talk from one perspective does not tell the whole story, but Jefferson you know this already!

If America is so great?  It is great and at least immediately grants who earned their way here the right way can see it.  Too bad native born liberals can’t!

So NBA Star gets a pass into conservative-land and into its community? I see now. What portion of those citizens who suffer death, maiming, injuries, and loss of rights and privileges in red-states is 'Star' overlooking? Furthermore, you can 'can' the liberals bad propaganda-talk for now, because any immigration policy that permitted NBA Star to be here is supported by a 'combine' of congressional by-partisanship.

"You," collectively do not get to own NBA Star based on this interview alone!

Enes Kanter has an interesting life story related to Turkey and it is understandable that he would appreciate America a great deal.

But his life circumstances are not comparable to the average Americans and his insistence that no one criticize anything about America because of "freedom" is simply unrealistic.

Moreover, he goes on the 'franchise' air of Tucker Carlson, the biggest purveyor of propaganda on the network (surpassing "Hannity" who is sunsetting and Laurel Ingraham, "The Ingraham Angle" -who told an NBA player to: "Shut up and dribble.") And he is a fit critic of his former homeland of Turkey? Looks like he has come here and is associating with the wrong crowd! One deficient in diversity of opinion and people of color (which he is).

Generally in this country if you want to oppose communism and authoritarian regimes one comes from, they become conservatives.  Because all too often the American left sides with the regimes they came from be it Cuba, Nicaragua,  Venezuela, Vietnam, Laos, Angola, Russia, among others.

Point of clarification: Today, I read NBA Star is of Turkish descent and a former citizen of Sweden (born and raised). Now U.S. citizen. I guess y'all can tell I am not a 'b-baller' huh? Not a sports follower.

I don't know anything about Turkey, beyond what can be gleaned from news narratives. So, I don't have any reason or affection or support for Turkey. Beyond the fact that they are an ally country in NATO. I simply would like to learn more as to why a person of color should find a subterfuge conservative like Tucker attractive.

I am not "uncomfortable" regarding this young man - I think, despite his successes, he still needs to develop (mature a bit more) himself politically before he volunteers to become a poster boy for the biggest exploiters on FOX NEWS. Tucker is the franchise 'player' on asses in seats on Fox and he just used this 'ballers' influence for 'padding'!

The right complains all the time. They first and foremost always complain that other people complain.

They complain that they have lost 'their' country and they want it back. ( I've lived here for 67 years now and have yet to determine where the thing went)

They complain that others are destroying their lives.

They complain that they don't have the freedom they want when they want it, as long as others don't get the same freedom.

They complain about Jewish space lasers.

They complain that other's think differently and therefore should not be allowed to exist.

They complain that a Hungarian Jew is destroying the nation even as they travel to Hungary to marvel at its authoritarianism.

These stories are just so much bullshit. And having worked on a ranch of 100,000 acres, I know my bullshit.

Let's take this one for starters. You are willing to say that no one from the right has ever complained about George Soros? You are willing to say that no one from the right has traveled to Hungary and marveled at what a great country it is, even as it is turning into an authoritarian nation?
