US Truckers Plan Their Own Cross-Country ‘People’s Convoy’ for Feb. 23
The Freedom Convoy continues to roll despite attacks by radical leftists. / PHOTO: Associated Press( Gregg Pupecki , Headline USA ) Piggybacking off the successful Canadian Freedom Convoy , US truckers were organizing a convoy of their own, scheduled to depart on Feb. 23.
The main convoy will start in the Barstow, Calif., area and head east to Washington, DC. It will be joined by other convoys as they drive across the country.
The Convoy is joined by the Global Covid Summit and Freedom Flyers , which will create a diverse group of pilots, truckers and doctors.
Organizers of the “ People’s Convoy ” appeared on Eric Bolling’s Newsmax show where they announced that they are ready to roll.
“I think you’re going to see it grow as we move across the country,” said People’s Convoy co-organizer Brian Brase. “Initially, we’ve projected potentially a little over a thousand trucks right out the gate to start.”
Organizers said they have been watching and learning from the Canadian convoy.
“We have been able to really garner some of the best and brightest on our team to make sure that this convoy goes off without a hitch,” said co-organizer Maureen Steele.
They are paying special attention to fundraising issues that the Canadian truckers have experienced. Most of the money the Canadian truckers raised off of crowdfunding sites like GiveSendGo has been seized by the government. They also had their donor data hacked and leaked to the press.
“Our funds are not going to be able to be frozen or hijacked,” Steele assured potential donors.
The US convoy’s web page includes a link for donors that redirects to the homepage of the American Foundation for Civil Liberties & Freedom. Donors are given the option to use credit card, PayPal or cryptocurrency .
A separate link invites truckers to register for the convoy .
The organizers said they were promoting the convoy as a peaceful protest aimed at ending the federal emergency orders which grants the government extraordinary powers.
“We demand the declaration of national emergency concerning the COVID-19 pandemic be lifted immediately and our cherished Constitution reign supreme,” said a statement on the website.

The real entertainment will come while they are moving. I imagine CNN and MSNBC will be "covering" the whole thing from their panic rooms.

Anyone want to guess how the conservatives would be reacting if this trucker convoy was headed to their hometown to block up the streets in protest of the Alabama abortion law or racial disparity in the justice system? If their goods were being blocked for some protest they didn't agree with they'd be here screaming and yelling at the damn truckers clogging up their roads and freeways and slowing down or stopping supply chains. They would be calling for the national guard to be deployed to clear the roads so they could get back to business.
1. They can't get in without a very valid reason.
2. I'd support them. Set up my grill and make a time of it.
LMAO, National Guard. There's a far more lethal force here.
These are the same people that cried endlessly about supply chain problems... Now they want to gum up the supply chain. Makes no sense at all other than it's political grandstanding, nothing more.
If blocking or slowing supply chains to bicoastal urban areas is what it takes to bring to an end all covid emergency powers, restrictions, and mandates now, so be it.
And yet actual violent protests that killed people injured thousands, caused billions in damage, led to looting and theft for months at a time and the left was silent or actually encouraging the disruptions.
I hope they don't block the roads. I support their right to protest and they can park on the shoulders and wave their signs and banners as people pass by. It doesn't matter who you are or what you're protesting you will not win support by blocking roads and being a nuisance, people have bills to pay and jobs to get to and the last thing they need is more bullshit in their lives. I agree they should be free to do as they choose as far as vaccines go but you don't fight for freedom by blocking the freedom of others.
I expect that it will be simply convoys and that only dc ight be seriously affected in the federal district.
This new term The Truckers, that allegedly love the gun, hate the vax and everything else bordering on sanity, give Putin the satisfaction he needs so much.

Your labeling every idea belief and person that is or holds different views than your own as Putin lovers is a ridiculous libel that needs to stop. The truckers here and up there are not anti vax. Most of them are vaccinated. It’s all about ending all covid related mandates, restrictions, and emergency powers now. That needs to be done.
