Rev. Franklin Graham speaks out against 'Disney's moral failure'
"What has happened at Disney is moral failure. Walt Disney had a vision for wholesome family entertainment," he added. "He was committed to the family. The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter, and they want to redefine family counter to God's original design and flaunt sin." He also said, "Thank God for Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is willing to take a bold stand. We need more leaders like him.

Rev. Graham is exactly right!  Disney has truly become a moral cesspool and a den of iniquity.  They have strayed far from their original mission.  It is good that they are being called out in Florida.  The culture counter revolution has begun.

In a message he shared with his nearly 10 million Facebook followers this weekend, the Rev. Franklin Graham — CEO and president of Samaritan's Purse, as well as CEO and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association — said that "Disney has gone too far" in regard to endorsing a liberal agenda and moving far away from its original mission of offering "wholesome family entertainment."

The Christian evangelical leader wrote about Disney, "LGBTQ activists are using corporations to force their agenda on the public."

WOKE DISNEY: 10 FAMILIES ARE SWEARING OFF DISNEY DUE TO ITS LIBERAL POLITICS

As a result, he said, "Companies may want to take another look at what they are allowing to happen."

"Disney has gone too far," wrote Rev. Graham.

"The people of Florida have revolted — and it's going to cost Disney big time ."

"The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter."

"Disney had a special tax status in the state," he continued, "which they benefited from in a huge way — but because they came out against the parents of Florida, the governor and legislators have revoked that status."

Rev. Franklin Graham is pictured preaching during a faith event. He said that the country "needs more leaders" like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has been willing to stand up against Disney's political stances. "God bless him and the Florida legislature," wrote Graham on his Facebook account. (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association)

Rev. Graham said, "What has happened at Disney is moral failure. Walt Disney had a vision for wholesome family entertainment," he added.

"He was committed to the family. The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter, and they want to redefine family counter to God's original design and flaunt sin."

He also said, "Thank God for Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is willing to take a bold stand. We need more leaders like him. God bless him and the Florida legislature."

"There's a TON of fun things for families to do here [in Florida] other than supporting Disney."

Rev. Graham added, "I'm in Orlando right now with our Samaritan's Purse ‘Operation Heal Our Patriots’ military veteran couples and it is absolutely beautiful!"

"I can tell you," he added on Saturday, "there's a TON of fun things for families to do here other than supporting Disney."

Gov. DeSantis signed a measure into law this past Friday evening that dissolves Disney World’s special governing power in the state of Florida after the company announced public opposition to a new parental rights law in the state.

At the bill-signing ceremony, DeSantis said Disney lied about the content of the state's new "Parental Rights in Education" law — and he viewed the company’s vow to fight it as unacceptable.

Speaking about Disney recently , a mother and grandmother in her early 60s who lives outside Boston, Mass., told Fox News Digital, "I gave up on Disney years ago when they started opening the parks up for gay pride activities while families were there."

"A children's theme park is no place for this. You can't promote both innocence and sex at the same time."

She added, "A children's theme park is no place for this. You can't promote both innocence and sex at the same time. This was a clear signal to families about where they are headed as a company."

She also noted, "As a Christian grandmother, my job is to protect, guide and love." She said that "participating in anything Disney forces me to abandon all three."

Rev. Graham, son of Billy Graham, recently signaled his support for the possibility that entrepreneur and business leader Elon Musk might acquire Twitter.

FRANKLIN GRAHAM PRAISES ELON MUSK FOR HIS FREE-SPEECH STANCE

He noted, in a message he shared exclusively with Fox News Digital, "Twitter is still one of the most influential platforms in the world, and I’m grateful to be on it to share my faith and values, but it has become a place where people are banned or blocked if they make statements that Twitter doesn’t find acceptable."

Rev. Graham (at left), is shown praying with a team of volunteers on the ground in Ukraine. Samaritan's Purse is helping the displaced people of Ukraine as they fight to survive amid Russia's invasion of that country.  (Samaritan's Purse)

"This concerns me as a Christian," continued Rev. Graham on the Twitter issue.

"There are people who may disagree with our beliefs and our faith in Jesus Christ, but just like people of other religions, we have a right to share our beliefs even when they may not be popular."

Rev. Graham recent delivered an Easter sermon from Lyiv, Ukraine , which premiered on Fox News Channel on Sunday, April 17, and is available on Fox Nation

How bout them atheist's, they show their love for the first amendment every time there's a person of christian faith around...

How does it work when the First Amendment only applies to certain people or groups and not others?

How about your premise is ridiculous.  If reality, narrow-minded dominionist Christians often try to shut down atheists.  Atheists, as free thinkers, welcome all opinions.

In reality it is the atheist who tries to shutdown the expressions of Christians and our beliefs.  The 1st amendment free speech and free exercise there of clauses are deficated upon by militant secularists of the left on sight.  Franklin Graham and his charities and followers don’t even come remotely close to being dominionists. Graham and we are using the 1st amendment to defend Florida from Predator Disney aggression

If critical thinking atheists dedicated their time and effort to politically 'dynamiting' Franklin Graham's ministries and defending the first amendment from attack, your group of parasitic, psychopathic, Christians would be recessed into a narrow corner of society reflecting on when life was better without persecution. Worse for you all, is the Church is going to side with atheist and drive you into the wilderness.

Conservative evangelical church doctrine is now at this moment:A menace to society.

Conservatives do lay it on thick. I am. . . embarrassed for you people. You do not represent the Christ I know. And, you do not care. That is a shame, because I really, truly, wish for peace between believers. Alas, I can not stand with you. Conservatives, you are wrong. I will fight you with everything in me on this account. I, too, remember Mr. Disney coming on my television as a child. Of course, I was every bit a non-political, conservative, black youth. Not know a damn thing about all the trials and tribulations I have learned through the course of my life. Trust me, reflecting back on "Walt" I don't see him as wanting any culture war on his behalf. That said, (sigh) I move into the gladiator's 'box' beneath the coliseum awaiting my time to fight against fellow believers and their relentless, misguided, counter revolution.

"Disney has gone too far" in regard to endorsing a liberal agenda and moving far away from its original mission of offering "wholesome family entertainment."

Franklin Graham has gone to far to the right. I, a liberal, used to give to Samaritan's Purse, and gave wholeheartedly in approval, past tense. But, then I found the organization 'wanting.' Why? It proved political during the Obama presidency when for no other reason than to diminish liberals it, Franklin Graham, campaigned against Barack Obama for no larger reason than to malign a good man who wanted to do right by all citizens. I ended my relationship with Samaritan's Purse and 'repent' of giving to it because it has chosen to damn people and destroy their liveliness rather than allowing itself to be a helping hand to all citizens of good-will on Earth!

The hypocrisy is overwhelming in this story. Republicans cry and moan about Cancel Culture on a daily basis. They righteously proclaim that people and businesses should not be attacked simply because they disagree on an issue. Then these same people turn around and pass - with lightning speed - retaliatory legislation against one of the biggest employers in the state because they disagreed on one issue.

So much for principles.

That company declared war against the Governor, legislature, and people of the state of Florida by going to war against legislation the legislature passed, the governor signed and a popular majorly of both parties support.  They intended to work for repeal, and back court cases against the popular law to overturn it.  The company had no stake in this issue and should have stayed neutral on it as their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders demanded.  They had just as many employees on the opposing side and should have not gotten involved.  They declared war on Florida and Florida is fighting back.  Leave the K-3 kids alone!

Conservatives can not hide in the 'folds' of K-8 years olds. I do so hope Disney Corporation prevails in its efforts to support truth and the 'American Way' against its hateful, vicious, sinful detractors in the Republican Party.

I am glad the world is seeing conservatives taking the 'plunge' into the political deep end ahead of the 2022 election season. Read the 'handwriting on the all' independent voters! This is what you are voting for (and against your own secular ideologies) when you elect bigoted, spiteful, failed financial policy, conservatives into leadership. It is a vote for regression and oppression and now more than ever, political comeback and 'takeover.'

Conservatives do not want harmony with liberals. They despite compromise. This is takeover and division as evidenced by trying to bring "the happiest place on Earth" to heel and buckled under to an alternative ('yester-years') reality plagued with lies and delusions.

Okay. Why did you have to go there?! I didn't not attack Billy Graham for his negative comments at the White House during the Nixon era; I didn't 'go off' on a rant about President Johnson and choice use of the word, "nig***," I loved watching, "Gone with the Wind," and as a child wondered what was so wrong with "Amos and Andy" that it needed to be pulled from the airways,  and I could go on but why? Why dredge up old shit just to spite it?

The thing is, individuals are not defined by select mistakes in judgement and actions they do or make in life. Indeed, many a difficult set of characters have won over hearts and minds because of the 'bigness' of their life's accounting.

I never watched "Song of the South" and as a child of the Sixties, I watched Walt Disney in our black household on Sunday nights "religiously." We loved his smile and yes his charisma, even our "old folks" would sit down to watch together. It was a positive experience.

We simply tuned out negativity coming from whites, because that was not for us or could it be! Moreover, we could do nothing to stop it anyway. Racism was emergent in the period. You just lived life with all its joys, sorrows, and inconveniences.

But, it reminds me of something else: White people have always been a bit of a confusion to Blacks. The dual nature of a love-hate relationship. The mixing, the separation, the integration, the hatreds, all whirling around, 'harmonizing,' but never quite finishing in comprehensive agreement.

I think one of the greatest tragedies of my life, is how integrated, integral, and with some of the greatest times and memories white people provide people of color; and yet, how much hardships I and my fellow minorities have suffered from whites in this country.

Walt Disney's movie-making did not offend me enough to dismiss the man or the company he built. I have only fond memories of both.

@8.1.6.  I think like most 'beset' peoples at differing times of their past, present, and future certain characters rise above the 'fury,' and because of the bigness of their personality be remembered for the good that was in their being (Reagan comes to mind right now; assuming you are conservative John F. Kennedy may rise up in you) and fill what is remembered.

For example, I know that George Wallace meant me and mine apathy. That is, he was indifferent to us. And indifferent during a time when blacks and minorities need somebody in power and influence to care, really care for us. And so we detested that George Wallace! But once he aged and 'mellowed' by his experiences with blacks during his last days, he left something better to remember him by for the nation to consider. I get to respect that single act of public "bigness" if only.

No they didn’t. They disagreed. On ONE issue

they did more than disagree.  They declared the law should not have been considered or passed.  They are actively working to try to repeal it and to get a judge to over rule the elected leaders in Florida.  A major issue.  They might as well have sided with former Va. gov Mc Auliffe and told parents they have no place in their kids education.  Same difference.

Any business is free to express an opinion on a public issue.

They did a lot more than express an opinion.  They got into the fray and became activists on the issue.

The kids are just fine. Stop making up things.

I am glad you see the error of their actions for what it is. This failure to stand with positivity in Disney's 'world' where nobody is being denied entrance and acceptance, screams volumes about those who demand other submit to their dictates. The republican/conservative 'movement' reminds me, a black male, homosexual, of what my past life used to be and endure. I've spent the better part of my life putting a 'happy face' on some insufferable treatment, always giving others the benefit of the doubt. That they really want to be good even when they get it wrong. But look jrSmiley_115_smiley_image.png at the evidence. Directly and exhaustively explained that they are doing wrong in a vain attempt to gain a so-called right (a power-play is all it is) these conservatives double-down and take the tact that they will fight "us" with all their strength—for governmental control of a conservative Florida. The implication being Disney can move or just accept suppressing.
