I'm sure that photo is good not only edited but original as well.
I do like the original photo, which was taken at the break of dawn. I tried to lighten it as much as I could in the edited version. To me, both have an impressionistic feel. Maybe the original version is better? Actually, this is a cropped version of the original photo, which was a much larger panoramic view. Cropping it brought this area to the forefront and, in my opinion, created a better composition. Also, after reviewing my photos I think this was taken in Cambodia and not Vietnam.

If that is the original photo, you've done magic to rescue it.
It is the original photo except, as I stated above, it's cropped down from a panoramic photo for a better composition. Also, since it was just barely getting light, there were still a couple of small spot lights illuminated in the background that I felt detracted from the picture, so I edited them out. They didn't actually light the scene.

A new aquarium project. The 40g aquarium I bought for my sister a year ago came back to me and I also got the metal tube stand she had purchased for it. I'm using locally sourced beach sand and granite. The wood is called ghostwood (it's actually California manzanita). Some of it I've had for a while, some are new pieces I purchased for this specific project. I need to get a new canister filter, more sand and plants. When completed it will be the seventh working tanks in my 'fish room' area.
When I first saw the photo, before reading what you wrote, the word that entered my mind was "spooky", and then when I read what you wrote and saw you said "ghostwood" I knew my first thought was justified. You should sell tickets to your "Tropical Fish Museum".
Morning...nah my first impression was you have "branched out" into having a snake enclosure..sand, warm, branch, perfect..
I have a few suggestions...this is the Queensland Taipan..one of the world's deadliest snakes..have to have a bit of excitement, none of this lame harmless stuff...
Note the skin colour, would be perfect in there and the beady little eye... he would love to sit on that rock..just don't get bitten your cactus in minutes..
Pssst fish... who needs them..when you can have this!!..
Certainly not my photo, I value my life..
bloody hell, where's the belt buckle that goes with it?
Have to catch it first..😁
Hummingbirds fight as fast as they fly. I had to physically break these two up five minutes after putting out the sugar water feeder. The bigger one ended up pinning the smaller one down on the deck until it went completely limp. They didn’t even care that I was sitting inches away.
all the time I spent with my cousins, summers on the ranch, trying to catch those 70mph flying badminton birds ...
try wearing a brightly colored shirt with stripes or a pattern around them ...
Wow. I watched hummingbirds at our feeder a lot, and never saw them fighting.
One of the places Kavika, Mrs. D (since deceased) and myself visited while in Missouri, was Dogwood Canyon. Here's an example of its subtle beauty.

Idyllic.
Morning...what a stunning photo and lovely memories..
Would be a great place to sit on a hot summer's day and quietly watch the world go by...
I'd be happy just watching and listening to the waterfall.
I so thoroughly enjoy and love seeing the pictures you folks share from around the world and many of you are great photographers so thank you.
While I enjoy the pictures from all over the planet, I am still amazed every day by the beauty and learning opportunities that Mother Nature provide me in my own back yard - some examples from the last few days.
I love where I live and what Mother Nature gives me for free every day.
Thanks again to all for sharing
Nice group!
Morning Robert...yes I am with you..love seeing photos from around the world and what people have in their backyard..
I am rather lucky as I get koalas in the front of my house..possums that come to the door.. magpies that tap on the kitchen window to let me know they are there..and many assorted birds..
I could never live in a city I did for 1.5 years and hated it.. space, clean air and wildlife in all its shapes and forms for me in the country...
Baby waiting to fed..
At least baby's being polite.
Yes he is..taps and waits..if I don't appear taps again..
He watches me get the mince steak out the fridge then flies down and waits at the back door...then the rest of his family roll up for a feed as well...
LOL. That's really something - bet it makes you really happy to feed that flock.
These would be about the 4th generation that have lived here and built their nests every year..
I moved here 1987 and have been friends with them ever since.. numerous times I have rescued their off spring when blown out of trees etc..
So we get on very well and they never swoop me not even at nesting time...I can get quite close to them and they ignore me as they know I am no threat..not so for other people..
Thanks to YOU, Robert, for sharing those great photos.
