And if you like to pick berries... be VERY careful...
Sorry 'bout yesterday. Busy...
Beautiful pics !
Great photos, the Joshua tree is one of my favorites.
Hopefully you had a chance to enjoy them before the shutdown started:
National park visitors cut down protected Joshua trees during Trump's government shutdown
A continuation of a great series of photographic adventures.
The Joshua Tree reminded me of these unusual trees:
1. The Cucumber tree ( E ndrosicyos socotranus ,)
2 . Dragon's Blood Tree (Dracaena cinnabari)
3. Canary Islands Dragon Blood Tree (Dracaena draco)
Dragon tree in the Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills, California
They are called Dragon's Blood Trees because they have red sap.
#s 1 & 2 grow on the island of Socotra, which has some very strange plants.
I had visited friends in Tucson long ago. I believe the nearby desert was called the Sonoran Desert. It is known for Saguaro Cactus:
It was long ago so I don't remember that much about it, but it may have also had Joshua Trees?
One of the things that surprised me about that area was how many plants grew there in a desert. (Also lots of small animals).
