Largely built on mountains and surrounded by the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, Chongqing is often called the mountain or river city. It's also known as 'China's Hotpot City'.
BUZZ NOTE: It has more names than anywhere I've ever been in my life. It's also known as The Misty City, and kn known as one of the three furnaces of China because of the summertime heat - lying in a "crucible" surrounded by mountains.
