This is a fantastic time of year in the magical land of China when the whole nation bursts out in colour and celebration and families reunite for happy times together. The week-long festival holiday begins with Chinese New Year's Eve which is 9 days away when a special 4-hour variety show will be watched on TV by most Chinese people, and me as well.
I find it interesting that the colour Red is so important in Chinese culture.
Why is that?
(I have my own theory but its just a guess.)
It means good fortune. What's your theory?
