97% of chicken breasts tested harbored bacteria that could make you sick.Tainted food causes48 million illnesses in this country alone per year and 23,000 deaths. Major foodattributer to these illnesses was chicken.
The tests on Chicken Breasts were run on every one of the four major producers Perdue, Tyson, Pilgrims and Sanderson farms 316 chicken breasts from major national grocery chains were tested 252 samples from conventionally produced chickens and 64 from brands that use no antibiotics in raising their chickens including in 64 were organic SAMPLES as well..
Everyoneof the for major brands contained worrisome amounts of bacteria, even the the chicken breasts labeled "no antibiotics" or "organic". More than half of the chicken samples tested were contaminated with fecal matter. Fecal matter contaminantsharbor enterococcus and e. coli.
There was found not to be any better chicken source or type be it organic free range no GMO's or any other such as pasture raised isn't even a legal definition or is it inspected. All were dangerous.
In a 2010 CDC study 13% of children younger than 3 were found to be exposed to raw meat or poultry products while ridding in a grocery cart. Do not wash your chicken before cooking. Washing causes more contamination than it eliminates.
This only scratches the surface of the fantastic report done by Consumer Report. Their reports on safety issues are top notch and should lend a strong hint to buy the magazine if for nothing else than safety even food safety.
Super Bugs the most dangerious bacteria were found in almost 50% of all chicken breasts tested.
Major Radio Stations avoid unpleasant information for their advertisers and major financial contributor's. One of the only places to get the truth is Consumer Report magazine. I do not sell or am I any way associated with Consumer Report or any testing agency or any magazine. Except I buy a lot. of magazines.
Read the article be aware of the Governments next step to make your Chicken even more dangerous. It will cut a little cost though. If you and your children live thru it.
