'Planned Parenthood Shooter' Identifies as Unaffiliated Voter, Female Much to the consternation of liberals.
The Gateway Pundit is reporting information today which suggests that, contrary to the dearest hopes of rush-to-judgment liberals, the so-called Planned Parenthood shooter is not a right-winger driven to "domestic terrorism" by "anti-Planned Parenthood rhetoric."

The man who killed three, including Police Officer Garrett Swasey, and wounded several more in a shootout yesterday that ended in a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado Springs, has been identified as 57-year-old Coloradan Robert Lewis Dear, originally from South Carolina.

Before any verified details about the shooter or the incident came to light, the left - never letting a crisis go to waste - decided to run with the narrative that the shooter was at Planned Parenthood to kill workers there in response to the shocking series of undercover videos earlier this year. Those videos exposed the organization's abhorrent practices and attitudes toward aborted fetuses. Twitchy has some vile examples of the left's accusatory rhetoric on social media here. So far there is no evidence that Planned Parenthood was Dear's target, nor is there any indication of a motive.

Pundit has more details about Dear:

According to court records, Dear has an arrest record in both North and South Carolina. He has been convicted of several traffic offenses, but has been arrested several times on more serious charges.

His convictions include seat belt violations, driver’s license violations, operating a vehicle in an unsafe mechanical condition and driving a non-registered vehicle.

Dear was charged in Colleton, South Carolina, with two counts of cruelty to animals in 2002, but was found not guilty in a bench trial.

He was also charged in 2002 in Colleton with charges of “peeping Tom” and eavesdropping. Those charges were dismissed.

According to his voting registratoin, Dear identifies as an unaffiliated voter and a woman:

Officer Swasey, 44, a husband and the father of two, was a 6-year veteran of the force and one of the first to respond to initial reports of an active shooter. He is rightfully being hailed as a hero and described as a man devoted to his job, his family and his Christian faith as a co-pastor, according to Fox News. His body was transported from the crime scene to the El Paso County Coroner’s office early this morning, accompanied on the 10-mile trip by a long line of police vehicles.

What he looks like is meaningless here.  He's mentally ill an little he's done in his life makes much sense at all.

This article continues the policy of the political right , in this matter, of diminishing the deaths of the two civilians killed, by singling out the police officer for mention. As one can deduce, this is not an accident.

Did the police officer not deserve mention because he was a police man and a pastor? We do know that no one who was shot was either an employee or patient there and that at least one of the victims was pro life.

I didn't say the police officer didn't deserve mention. More than once today I heard conservatives mention only the policeman as the victim and not the other two dead people. The more that happens the less an "accident" it is.

That's odd.  I heard a description of and details about the other two fatalities on Fox News radio and they seemed about as conservative as the officer was. It wasn't odd to me that when ever an officer is gunned down in the line of duty that he/she would get a lot of coverage.
