Howard Dean Stands By Donald Trump Cocaine Tweet
Former Democratic presidential candidate and DNC chairman Howard Dean is standing by his controversial tweet about Donald Trump's sniffles during Monday's presidential debate.
The Republican candidate sniffled repeatedly during Monday night's debate — setting off social-media memes and sparking the hashtag #TrumpSniffle.
After watching the Republican nominee spar with Hillary Clinton, the former six-term Vermont governor took to Twitter, suggesting that Trump's nasal troubles could be due to cocaine use.
In an interview with MSNBC's Kate Snow Tuesday, Dean acknowledged it's unlikely that 70-year-old Trump has a cocaine habit, but he didn't rule it out.
"It's something I think it'd be interesting to ask him and see if he ever had a problem with that," Dean said.
He added he wouldn't delete the tweet.
There was no immediate response from the Trump campaign to the question Dean posed. However, Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that there were "no sniffles" and that he didn't have a cold.
Howard Dean giving Trump a taste of his own medicine.

Gotta love it. Keep it up Howard.
FEBRUARY 16--Presidential contender Donald Trump, who has vowed to stanch the flow of narcotics and criminals entering the U.S. from Mexico, once wrote to a judge urging leniency for a friend who was convicted of distributing kilos of cocaine that had been smuggled into the country from Colombia, court records show.
In advance of Joseph Weichselbaum’s November 1987 sentencing by a U.S. District Court judge, Trump wrote that the drug trafficker was “conscientious, forthright, and diligent" and "a credit to the community.”
At the time Trump wrote his character reference letter, Weichselbaum, then in his mid-40s, was already a twice-convicted felon. In addition to his 1986 plea to federal cocaine distribution and income tax charges, Weichselbaum’s rap sheet included prior convictions for grand theft auto and the embezzlement of more than $130,000 from a Brooklyn manufacturing firm where he worked for a decade.
Weichselbaum, who peddled drugs and palled around with wiseguys, seemed an odd choice for Trump to publicly embrace. Especially since the developer--who has never been known for empathetic gestures--owned casinos monitored by New Jersey regulators on the alert for licensees who maintained business or personal relationships with unsavory types.
It's a lie I tell you, a lie says Trump.
Those were traffic tickets, not felony convictions. The press is lying, lying, this is yuge.
Besides he wasn't unsavory to me, he was a very savory fellow.
If Hillary Clinton wrote a letter urging leniency for a friend who was convicted of distributing kilos of cocaine we would have heard about it on Newstalkers 25 times already.
Way to keep it classy. When you get down in the mud, you are dirty. Period. Howard Dean is now a mud wrestler.
Speculations is news in today's world (as long as it advances the Democrats position).
LOL Spike....That's just too funny. Trump is getting a taste of his own medicine and your talking about someone getting in the mud.
They ARE clueless Kavika.
I think you are responding exactly like Dean would want. He is playing a game of showing that Trump is not the only one who can repeat rumors and innuendo.
I always figured it was white rocket fuel powering the famous Dean scream.
Now that is really funny! It seems Howard Dean thinks the only way a person can have a high energy level is by using cocaine, which it seems he has experience with this video. He is the perfect representative of the New Democrat Party!!!
If indeed Howard Dean is a coke head, than he is the perfect person to pick out another coke head. Experience and all that.
Thank you Howard Dean for pointing out want a coke head Trump is.
Obama would be another good one to ask about who is a coke head since he himself was once one.
To bad we can't bring in Gary Johnson on this. Since he's only a pot head he simply doesn't have the experience with coke, or so he says.
That's good the problem isn't drugs it is the government ruining peoples lives because of the personal choices they make. Just like prohibition the war on drugs is a failure and Johnson is willing to admit it. One more reason to vote for Johnson.
But Dean, didn't he say that he wouldn't smoke pot for some time during the election cycle. What, another two faced politician...Tell me it ain't true.
It is amusing to watch the "mainstream media" get worked up over this. Howard Dean is clearly playing a game with them, and with Trump.
Trump cavorting with criminals is almost as bad as Bill Clinton pardoning his buddy Susan McDougald. She refused to say whether Bill lied in his testimony during her trial in the whitewater scandal -- the biggest scandal of the time until it was eclipsed by the next Clinton scandal.
Trump might be on cocaine or it may just look that way compared to an old lady like Hillary who takes Armor Thyroid to combat hypothyroidism -- a disorder that causes sluggishness, weight gain, and and fuzzy thinking. Fuzzy thinking may explain why she is compelled to bark and wear sofa covers as clothing.
Good. Anytime the former head of the DNC wants to embarrass himself by diagnosing cocaine use by a famous teetotaler by watching television, all it does is discredit him and his party of hypocrites.
So Alex Jones and the leadership of the Democratic Party operate on the same level. No surprise.
Howard Dean is playing with the central theme of Donald Trump's existence.... making shit up.
It is brilliant.
Dean is classless.
