Tim Allen on Hollywood’s Anti-Trump Thought Police: It’s Like ’30s Germany’

Tim Allen opened up briefly about what it means to be a conservative in Hollywood in 2017 during an interview with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night, explaining that one must be “real careful” in talking about President Donald Trump or else risk being beaten up.

“You’ve gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes,” the 63-year-old Last Man Standing star told Kimmel when asked about his attendance at Trump’s inauguration in January.

“This is like ’30s Germany. I don’t know what happened,” he added. “If you’re not part of the group, ‘you know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.'”

Allen told Kimmel he had never been to anything like Trump’s inauguration before.

“This government does stuff big,” he said. “Just so many people, and when they show up, you know, the ex-president gets in a helicopter and there’s jets and marines taking him this way and there’s parades, but it looks like a Cadillac parade, everything was just rows of Cadillacs.”

“My kids were going, ‘Is this the parade?’ It’s like black Cadillac after black Cadillac and then a tractor,” he joked.

Allen was one of the few celebrities with positive things to say about Trump during the 2016 campaign. The comedian  complimented Trump  in January of last year, telling the Hollywood Reporter  that Trump seemed like a candidate who “might be able to do the stuff that really needs fixing.”

“Give that guy the roads, bridges, infrastructure, power grid — just have him fix that sh*t for four years. He’s good at that,” the actor said at the time. “And he’s a businessman so he understands how debt load works.”

In an interview with Megyn Kelly after the election, Allen  called out anti-Trump celebrities in Hollywood for being “hypocritical” during the 2016 campaign.

“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” Allen told Kelly. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”

In his sit-down with Kimmel Thursday night, Allen also joked about how Americans are willing to embrace ever increasing surveillance as long as we recognize the brands associated with it.

“If the government drove down the street in a gray sedan with a camera on it, you’d be rioting, going to Washington,” he said. “But if it’s white, with emojis and ‘Google’ on it, hey, you’re waving at it! They’re taking pictures of your house!”

There is nothing in the Constitution that says I have to accept him as such, so I don't. My wife feels the same. When I joined the Air Force I took an oath to protect the United States Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I consider Trump to be both (though mostly a domestic one working at the behest of a foreign one). Therefore to me he is not the President at all. He is an enemy of the state. Not my President. As far as I am concerned there is no real President right now.

Actually yes I can say. Sorry. And you crying about me being able to doesn't change that. Americans do not have to sign or take a loyalty oath, so I don't have to accept him as my President. I can't as I honestly believe him to be a turned Russian asset and an enemy of America. As such he is a criminal and can not be the President.

He is not my President.

Donald Trump is, at worst, a political amateur who doesn't know how to play the Washington political game, and doesn't give a damn whether he does or not.

The real most disgraceful embarrassment to this country is that one of our major political parties even thought of nominating a corrupt dirtbag like Hillary Clinton for any office whatsoever.  The Democrats were stupid or corrupt enough to nominate her, she lost (probably the only person in the Democratic Party who would have lost to Trump) and now you've got Trump as President for the next four years, like it or not.  Learn to live with it and stop crying like a little baby.

They're trying but every time they try to accomplish something useful, some unreconstructed Socialist runs to the Federal Court, which was packed with ideological Liberal judges or to the Democrats in Congress to get them to endlessly delay bills. These tactics should be labeled guerrilla politics.

In the end I really don't care that much about Trump, although it would be fun to watch the Democrats try this kind of crap with Pence.  Trump has already done the only thing that I cared about, he nominated Gorsuch, which will keep the country from going Socialist for at least another thirty years.

Grow up Randy.  You're living in fantasy land.  If they back him, their careers may be at risk.  If they double cross him, the Republican Party will make certain that their careers are over.  How can I be sure of that?  Because then Pence would be running the Party and he can't trust people who turned on his predecessor. He'll make sure to make an example of anyone who turns on Trump "pour les encourager de outres".  My French spelling is terrible but the idea is to show the others who may be thinking of turning on the leader of the Party what will happen to them.

No the article isn't about Hillary

It was about Tim Allen but your first comment was about some soiree for liberal press members that had nothing to do with the seeded article.

I will repeat my post from above as I think you missed it:

"What does your first post have to do with your seed ? Your seeded article is about has-been Tim Allen, former star of an over-rated tv sit-com complaining about Hollywood liberals.

Because everything ties together.  It's really one big picture.  Hillary had all those journalist out for dinner before she even ran for President.  You should look up some of their names, Google them, and look at the articles they've published.  With these journalists and the elite in Hollywood alienated from the real world, poor old what's his name feels like he better keep his mouth shut most of the time, because the DNC may just hire some of the radicals from their far left to beat him up a little and of course he won't get any more contracts for TV or whatever.

Now you and I agree on this.  I never cared one thing about that program he starred in for so long.  I can't even remember what the name of it was.  I doubt I've watched 15 minutes of it throughout the entire time, but Hollywood has a lot of Liberals and not being one I would imagine would be detrimental to your career in Hollywood.

Not being a Liberal journalist puts you at odds with the MSM as well, because they will try and destroy you and they will lie and do whatever it takes to accomplish it.

Let's pick another one of the journalist who worked for Hillary Clinton.   Ummmmmm..... Here's one.  Lisa Lerer from AP.  Now remember the girl who had her phone with camera in front of Hillary when she started bobbing her head up and down like a cork in the water?  The girl with the blond hair who drew back from Hillary?  That was Lisa Lerer.

Almost all the journalist are Democrats, so you have that going for you, but many don't trust them anymore than you trust Trump, so Trump will have a hard time of it.  I don't agree with quite a bit of his policies, but I got what I wanted and that was at least one Conservative leaning Justice and a pause in the Hillary and Obama transformation team.

Sounds like the GOP the last 6 or 7 years.

Eventually, if his popularity drops low enough they will dump him, especially because of the really bad tax cut for the rich they are calling a healthcare bill, which it certainly is not and his budget blueprint that screws over just about every supporter h has except the rich. Congress people have to run for re-election and none of them are going to want to be associated with him in 2018. They are going to treat him like poison ivy and so will the GOP Senators because none of them want to go home and face their angry constituents and say they supported either bill. They want to gt re-elected and Trump is quickly becoming radioactive. They won't want him to visit to "help" in their re-election.

Well, look at it like this Randy.  At least Trump is abiding by the rulings even though they are meant only to obstruct the protection of the American Citizens.

When Obama received a ruling from a judge, quite often he just went on and did what he was ordered not to do anyway.  And when it came down to the final moment, he would make up some excuse like there was some sort of misunderstanding within the agency at hand.

You know he did have a pen and a phone.  So far Trump hasn't said anything like that.  Obama used his pen and phone to give all those agencies powers they shouldn't have been given unless Congress was involved and they weren't.  But no one did anything to him even when the IRS scandal broke out he said it numerous times there wasn't a smidgen of proof, didn't know Grubber, stabbed Israel in the back right before he let office, tried to give the Palestinian a bunch of money on Trump's Inauguration day after the UK had taken money back because of their support for terrorists.

Biding by the rulings? So far there is only one and I don't remember Obama ignoring any court rulings or he would have been impeached. The GOP had the power to do so, but didn't because he committed no impeachable offense. As for Trump he is in so far over his head that it is dangerous. He is just making up shit as he goes along and has no idea of what he is doing. H.L. Mencken once said "He hasn't an enemy in the world, only his friends hate him." which is where he is dragging this country to.

As for shitting on Israel most of that comes from the U.S. abstaining on the vote concerning Israeli settlements on the West Bank and to tell the truth instead of abstaining I would have voted against them.

Of course they will, but the politicians running in 2018 are more favorable for the Republicans than the Democrats and most of the Republicans are quite aware of how corrupt the Democrat Party is and how corrupt the MSM is and don't really have much use for them.

By the way an unconstructed Socialist is no different than a unconstructed Conservative meaning neither are able to accept the way it is today.  Some of the lefties are unable to accept they lost the election.  The country is not headed straight to Socialism as it was before and they just can't accept that.  They were so close.  If Hillary had won they felt they would have reached Utopia, because the country would become a one party country rule by a few at the top and they would all be Democrats.  Actually that is an Oligarch, but these people didn't realize that was where they were heading.  They thought they were heading to Utopia.

Actually no that's not. Russia is run by a dictator and his super rich friends. His super rich friends are oligarchs. And it is widely believed that Donald Trump is into some of them for some very serious money. Once American backs stopped loaning him money as he was a very poor risk after going bankrupt time after time after time, he turned to them and the Chinese. It is estimated the he owes the Bank of China (which is the Chinese Communist Government) more $162 million dollars.

There are no oligarchs in socialism or utopia. None.

Well, that's what I said.  They thought they were heading to Socialism but they were really headed to become an Oligarchy.

I am afraid I have to disagree. We are already a semi-Socialist society and I believe that is a good thing as it provides a safety net to help keep people out of abject poverty and starvation. Is it prefect? No of course not, but it could be much better if the GOP stopped trying to ruin it and make this an every man and woman for themselves society. And really with their enthusiasm for National Defense they should be among the fervent supporters of social programs, as a healthy, well fed America populace is a much stronger and safer America overall. Sick and hungry people make for a poor Resistance if we have to have civilians to fight.

As for heading for and oligarchy based society, I must once again point out to you that this is the ultimate goal of Steve Bannon, Steve Miller and Donald Trump. It is their intention to reform the American government and society along the lines of Russia, with a strong authoritarian man on top and a slightly lower class of mega rich oligarchs and then father below the proletariat. The serfs. Personally I prefer the system we have, with all of it's faults, then to have system of government such as Putin has formed and which is the dream of his protege and student Donald Trump and those around him.

Here I'll help you in your moment of need:

It's what friends are for and do not forget! Shiny side out! Otherwise you'll just reflect your own thoughts back into your own brain and in your case that would undoubtedly be fatal!

"And it is widely believed that Donald Trump is into some of them for some very serious money."

Typical baseless liberal slander and conspiracy theories. Harry Reid would be proud. No one else is...

He could settle the whole issue by releasing his tax returns and no, nobody believe that they are under audit. I predict that one of the intelligence committees (most likely the Senate one because of Lindsey Graham), or a special prosecutor or an independent commission will subpoena his tax returns and that he will resign rather then reveal the depths of his criminality with the Russians.

BTW, why do you and XX always vote your comments up. Bit insincere don't you think?
