Scoop: Trump tells confidants U.S. will quit Paris climate deal

Evan Vucci / AP

President Trump has privately told multiple people, including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, that he plans to leave the Paris agreement on climate change, according to three sources with direct knowledge.

Publicly, Trump's position is that he has not made up his mind and when we asked the White House about these private comments, Director of Strategic Communications Hope Hicks said, "I think  his tweet  was clear. He will make a decision this week."

Why this matters:  Pulling out of Paris is the biggest thing Trump could to do unravel Obama's climate policies. It also sends a stark and combative signal to the rest of the world that working with other nations on climate change isn't a priority to the Trump administration. And pulling out threatens to unravel the ambition of the entire deal, given how integral former President Obama was in making it come together in the first place.

His mind is ever wandering.

Trump's big money people want him to deny climate change, so he will.  He has no principles.

according to three sources with direct knowledge.

Wow!!!!  Wonder who they might be?

If it not for anonymous sources the MSM would go out of business.

That's what I said.  If the MSM didn't have anonymous sources they would close their doors.

Non-stop distractions are deliberately used by those in power as instruments of policy for the purpose of preventing people from paying attention to reality. Propaganda is used by those in power to manipulate language, thought, and opinion in a way that causes the progression from thought to action artificially. When the public is reduced to a state where people no longer care about the truth and are unaware of what that truth even is, propaganda takes hold and shows them what to do.

When Trump takes the U.S. out of the Paris agreement I trust you will reconsider your complaint about this article.

Can we say President Pence?  I could live with that.  Maybe Jan. 22, 2019 so he can finish less than half of Trumps term and be still eligible to run for two full terms.

Pence could finish Trump's term but he won't go past that.

Especially since Trump and the GOP House's (and that coldblooded snake of an asshole Mick MulVaney) inhuman and inhuman ideas of health care and budgets are practically handing the House back to the Democrats in 2018.

Besides Pence is a lying sleazeball like a lot of Republican politicians, but at least he's not a traitorous Russian Putin ass-kisser and he is sane, which is more then can be said for Trump and his family.

And 2020 belongs to the Democrats.

Well we should withdraw from this "treaty" asap.  The Senate never ratified it.

The career Civil Servants and the Intelligence Community are leaking like a sieve because they see just how corrupt, dangerous, un-American and anti-American Trump, his whole family and administration are. They are the true patriots and heroes of today. HE picked the fight with them and they will finish it and him.

If they are leaking sensitive information, they are criminals.

Well, Six, Breitbart has confirmed this story. Is it still fake news, lol?

U.S. President Donald Trump has informed multiple individuals, including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, that he intends to remove the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, according several sources.

On Saturday night, Axios  reported  the news based on “three sources with direct knowledge.”

Breitbart News has independently confirmed this reporting and that Trump has told others the same thing: that he plans to withdraw the U.S. from the agreement.
