Time magazine asks Trump's clubs to take down fake magazine cover with his face on it

Time magazine asked President Donald Trump's businesses to remove several fake Time covers hanging in his clubs.

The Washington Post's Dave Farenthold, who has covered the of the presidency's effects on Trump's businesses, reported on Tuesday that four of the presidents resorts and clubs have framed Time magazine portraits hanging in them, complete with fake headlines teasing articles like "TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS . . . EVEN TV!"

New & weird: at some @ realdonaldtrump golf clubs, there's a framed copy of Time mag, w/Trump on cover.
It's fake. http:// wapo.st/2sO8Uq3?tid=ss _tw&utm_term=.1df1b8d2c2be

david f.jpg  Time initially said it had no intention of asking the president to remove the fake covers, but later asked the businesses to take the covers down .

Trump has been on the cover of Time magazine on numerous occasions throughout his political career, and has valued the placement on the cover as a badge of honor. He has  kept stacks of magazines with his image on the cover on his desk in New York for years, and continued the habit at the White House.

"Look at that picture of me on Time," Trump told a reporter in his office last year . "It's a movement! Isn't that an amazing picture? It's been a lot of fun."

He really is that egotistical? BTW he says that he thinks he's been on the cover of Time more then anyone else. He hasn't. He has been on the cover of the real Time Magazine 14 times. Nixon was on it 55 times. So who knows? He might make it!

I believe  I read on another article about this same story that Trump was only on the cover of Time magazine once prior to his becoming a politician.

That would explain his hunger to create a fake Time magazine cover in 2009.  Plus look at the date - he was jealous of the new president.

People have made fake headlines or magazine covers about themselves or others for years. It is a great gag gift or even a nice show of sincere sentimentality.  New York Times front page  - "John Smith Named World's Greatest Dad" but those items end up in a dresser drawer or on a basement wall next to the pool table.  Trump has them put up in his places of business to fluff his image to customers and guests. He has been pretty famous across the country for 25 or 30 years, yet so insecure and needy.

There are novelty stores that you can go to in malls, as well as online sites, that can print a picture of you on virtually any magazine cover. There are kiosks at state fairs that do this. There are companies that come to Sweet Sixteen parties that can do this for you.

This is yet another platform for crybabies to mount, so that they can complain about the President.

As if there weren't enough legitimate gripes about him to discuss...
