It's Gater Season!

http://www.ozarksfirst.com/news/101-arkansans-receive-alligator-hunt-permit/781492021

Some lucky hunters got their permits to hunt alligators in Arkansas. But there's a catch (pun intended). You may only hunt at night and you must snare and harpoon the gater before you can kill it with a shot gun.

I can see it now:

Gaters: 50

Hunters: 0

Thanks for the advise!

I have seen gaters in the wild but only their eyes. We went camping on a lake in South Arkansas where the gaters are thick. I kept hearing the waves slapping the sea wall the first night and thought it was alligators slapping their tails against the wall. I didn't sleep very well

Damn.. the gators are losing? Maybe the need to develop better skill.

I mean I know a kitty who beats them up!

that's a bad ass cat

As far as the alligators losing....no way. The hunters are going down...into the swamp...and return as alligator poop

I've learned to ask locals where to swim in the alligator infested areas.
