PANDA BEARS ARE FUN TO WATCH

PANDA BEARS ARE FUN TO WATCH

BUZZ NOTE:  I originally posted this article almost 4 years ago, but I've noted that many people love to see Panda Bears so I decided to post it again, updating the commentary and remastering the photos with a newer editing system.  Hope you enjoy it.

My brother, who is 4 years older than me, came and stayed with us for a week back when we were living in Chengdu, in Sichuan Province, and we took him to see the Panda Centre, which was where the cubs are born and raised.  Chengdu is near the reserve for that endangered species. Lots of bamboo grows there, which is what Panda Bears eat.

China lends Panda Bear couples to the Zoos of many countries. I know that there was, and still is, a pair at the Zoo in Toronto, which were the first ones I saw live, and I’m sure there must be at least a couple in zoos in the USA. They are not sold or given away, and only lent for a term of years. As well, it is expected that if they produce a cub it will be sent to China when the bears are returned.

9.    They love to climb, and just hang out.

10.    They play just like other young animals.

In case you wondered why I nicknamed that Panda Bear "FDR"...

You may think they're cuddly and friendly.  I read an article here about a man who was either drunk or crazy, who climbed into the Panda space and hugged the bear.  He was taken to the hospital after that.  As cuddly as they appear, they're wild animals.

Apparently not as many members are interested in Panda Bears as I thought.  jrSmiley_89_smiley_image.gif jrSmiley_5_smiley_image.png

Thanks for posting the link to that interesting article.  As it points out, it's nice to see the adult Pandas, but it's a joy to watch the young ones frolicking.
