CNN suspends Chris Cuomo 'indefinitely' pending evaluation of his involvement in brother's scandals

CNN announced that it is suspending its star anchor Chris Cuomo as the network evaluates his conduct following stunning revelations from the New York Attorney General's investigation into his brother, ousted Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo .
"The New York Attorney General's office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo's involvement in his brother's defense," CNN began its statement Tuesday evening. "The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions. When Chris admitted to us he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second."
"However," CNN continued, "these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation."
Calls for the "Cuomo Prime Time" host to be fired intensified on Monday after newly-released documents showed he was far more involved in aiding his embattled brother than he previously disclosed to viewers.
Transcripts from his interview with investigators show the CNN star admitting he would reach out to media sources to find out about new accusers who have yet to come forward publicly.
"When asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out," Cuomo told investigators.
Cuomo's admission contradicts what he told CNN viewers in August when he claimed, "I never made calls to the press about my brother's situation."
Three days after the New York Times broke the story about Anna Ruch, who alleged the governor sexually harassed her at a 2019 wedding reception, the CNN anchor texted top Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa, "I have a lead on the wedding girl."
In another exchange, DeRosa texted to Cuomo, "Rumor going around from politico 1-2 more ppl coming out tomorrow," then asking him "Can u check your sources?"
Cuomo replied "on it," later writing back "No one has heard that yet."
The CNN anchor snooped into the progress of Ronan Farrow’s reporting about his brother and relayed it to the governor's inner circle.
He admitted to contacting colleagues of Farrow for updates but claimed it was simply "business-as-usual" to employ such methods. Text messages released by state investigators showed DeRosa asking about "intel the CNN anchor had about Farrow's report on March 15, to which he replied it wasn't ready for publication. Farrow's story was eventually published on March 18.
Additionally, the transcript from investigators' interview with Democratic strategist and Andrew Cuomo ally Lis Smith showed Chris Cuomo had forwarded her documents regarding the governor's second accuser Charlotte Bennett and her "time in college."

Does anyone seriously think that what Chris Cuomo does every night is “journalism?” If it were - if he were doing like the CBS Nightly News or something - yeah, I could see disciplining him for some ethical violation. But let’s be real. All the prime time shows on cable news networks are political entertainment, not journalism.

1) The Kurds are just fine. It took the Syrian Kurds less than two seconds to ally to the Syrian government and Russians. Guess what, Turkey is trying to stay on Russia's good side- so they are behaving for the time being. Being on the take from NATO and Russia is paying off big time for Turkey- they aren't willing to risk that yet.
2) Syrians- are you serious? We never should have been in Syria to begin with! Obama put us there with the War on Terror- after sat by and watched ISIS/ISIL form (Blame Bush Jr as well- there is plenty of it to go around). Trump tried to get us out; and he failed- do you understand that! We still have US troops in Syria securing an oil field! We were never going to remove Assad like Hillary desperately wanted to. The Russian have real forces, with real assets, in Syria now. They aren't going to give up everything they have obtained and let Assad be removed. Better question is why Biden hasn't fully pulled out of Syria! This proxy war is draining US resources- the very thing Biden said he was against- endless wars!
3) Afghanistan is Biden's fuck up! If he didn't like the deal Trump worked out with the Taliban he should have renegotiated it. Instead he unilaterally extended the troop withdrawal from May to August; while not holding the Taliban to the terms of the peace deal. Biden wanted out; and he got out. Unfortunately he withdrew the troops first instead of the civilians that we needed to get out. That is all on him. Biden knew things were failing in Afghanistan- which is the reason he told the Afghan leader to lie. Seems the leader was smarter than Biden- days before Kabul fell he flew out of Afghanistan with millions in US tax payer money. We still have US citizens, green card holders, and special VISA holder trapped in Afghanistan that Biden abandoned. Why don't you ask your glorious leader what the fuck he is doing to get them out! As he has "Turned the page".
4) Trump made Europe pay their fair share to NATO; and he tried to force them to trade fairly with us. (Gasp, the horror!). Think Europe loves Biden? They pleaded with him not to withdraw from Afghanistan; and we still did. They don't like the US looking weak to the rest of the world. It makes Europe really nervous as they can't defend themselves. They are watching China really closely now as they escalate their military tensions with Taiwan; and Russia as they continue to build up militarily along the Ukraine border. Think they love China Joe?
5) Khashoggi- Trump had nothing to do with his death. As much as Democrats wanted Trump to denounce Saudi Arabia for killing him; they are an ally (for the time being). We need them as an offset against Iran; who in case you forgot has operatives in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. We do not want Iran to become the dominant force in the Middle East. The Saudis are already upset with the US; and the Russians are moving in with arms sales
