Baltimore prosecutor slammed for sharing parody video mocking media coverage of crime crisis
Former U.S. congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik, R-Md., argues state's attorney Marilyn Mosby's policies have contributed to Baltimore's homicide rate.
Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby is drawing harsh criticism for a parody video she posted to social media that appears to mock the local media's coverage of her policies and the city's crime crisis.
Former congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik, R-Md., reacted to the post, calling Mosby a "joke" for how she has handled crime in the area.
Baltimore has reported more than 300 homicides every year for seven continuous years and is on track to pass that number again in 2022. Klacik pointed to Mosby's policies as the reason.
"She's a progressive that gives shortened sentences and plea deals to career criminals, and they're out on the streets to terrorize communities in the name of racial equity," Klacik said on "Fox & Friends" Monday.
The timing of Mosby's parody video comes just days before an election and on the same day a 15-year-old was charged as an adult for murder.
Klacik explained to host Ainsley Earhardt that she was surprised to see Mosby go after local media rather than focusing energy on her opponents.
"She did so in hopes that her base does not know the truth from fake news," Klacik said.
She said Mosby keeps winning reelection because she makes emotional pleas to her base.
"We have a lot of people, unfortunately, that vote based on their emotions," she said, noting that the city reported 40 homicides in June alone.

Klacik said progressive district attorneys are the problem.
"We have a Black state's attorney allowing Black repeat violent offenders to terrorize Black communities," she said.
Klacik called on political leaders to support conservative candidates across America, saying Republicans "can't afford" to lose in the 2022 midterm elections.
"I'm hoping that the voters will vote for a change this time around," she said. "But this is the kind of joke we have in office."

Marilyn Mosby has almost a third of her assistant state’s attorney positions vacant.
She pled not guilty earlier this year to charges she falsely claimed a coronavirus-related financial hardship in order to withdraw thousands of dollars from her city retirement fund for a vacation home purchase in Florida.
She was indicted on two counts of perjury and making false statements on a loan application to purchase the vacation homes. She also allegedly failed to disclose past unpaid federal taxes on the mortgage applications, the indictment said.
Last weekend, five people, including two teens, have died in shootings since Friday night, according to Baltimore Police. This morning, another man was killed and two injured in two shootings.
Such a dysfunctional city in such a rich state.

I remember Mosby from her Freddie Gray days. She was a failure then, and she's a failure now. Baltimore deserves better - it used to be a beautiful city to visit.
When my daughter was young, we would visit twice a year. It is still pretty safe if your white and stay in the tourist areas of Inner Harbor and the sports stadiums, Canton, Federal Hill and Fells Point.
We took our kids there several times. Wonderful museums, the aquarium (not as good as Boston's, but still very interesting), the Inner Harbor.
The woman should be recalled.

I'm sure that's what Kim Klacik is betting on with her attempt to paint Mosby as an irresponsible social justice wacko regardless of her actual record. Kim's tweets and complaints about West Baltimore are what got the former Cheeto Benito to call it "rat infested" and claim they had "stolen" billions in financial aid without any actual evidence.
Mosby is an idiot already under indictment.

Got to say it--Baltimore getting what they voted for--just like those good folks in SF and LA.
The damage done to cities by these pro crime DA's is going to take years to do undo. Every day you see horror stories of brazen crime with no attempt to stop or prosecute it.
Who would possibly raise a family in these places unless you had no other options? Look at San Francisco, one of the "wealthiest" cities in the country, and it is covered in human excrement and school kids are forced to walk gauntlets like this just to go home:
Or Chicago where you can shoot 20 rounds at a police officer, paralyze him, and not even be charged with attempted murder.
And the people who vote for these monsters are the ones who think more "gun laws" are the solution
Looks like some fine folks in Baltimore woke up.
