It can be done even tho they don't have seats any more. Speaker of the House does not have to be an elected official. (at least I don't think so)

As the highest-ranking member of the House, the Speaker is elected by a vote of the members of the House. While it is not required, the Speaker usually belongs to the majority political party .
The Constitution does not require that the Speaker be an elected member of Congress. However, no non-member has ever been elected Speaker.

We will have them just yell and scream for the next two years, so business as usual for them.

I predict there will be several bills with poison pills attached thrown up that would have no way of passing so they can blame the other side, to make people think they are actually doing something...

"What is your Conceptual Continuity?"
"Well, I told him right then, " Fido said
It should be easy to see
The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe

a prominent member of the trumpster brain trust. I've interacted with her several times many years ago when she was running the mc d's drive up window in rifle colorado. getting implants and her teeth fixed sure did elevate her standing in that part of the colorado republican party. hopefully she can get her old job back, since she was supposed to win by 8-13 points in her district and the vote went to automatic recount because the final tally was within 0.5%. she won her heavily republican district by only 564 votes and she's probably lost those voters this week, if she thinking there's going to be a next time in 2024.

fuck that noise. all democrats have to do is sit back and wait for the insurrectionist faction to burn the GOP down to the ground when they don't get their way. some are already trying to get their demigod to intervene by telling mc carthy to step aside. trump would probably like for the special prosecutor to have some simpler legal distractions before starting his pending judicial roadtrip.

Kevin McCarthy lives with a man in DC and when you see them out together you realize it is more than a friendship. I always thought Lindsey Graham was the one but Kevin is queen, he must have quite the arrangement with his wife.

This is the issue the hypocrites have with Kevin.

i believe he moved into Luntz's condo while they were doing something to the capitol building and he couldn't stay there. He usually stays on the couch in his office or gets a motel room according to what I have read.

“I didn’t know how this was controversial,” McCarthy said.

“Frank has been a friend of mine for more than 30 years.”

McCarthy then chalked up his use of Luntz’s residence to Democrats changing around offices in the House of Representatives — not to the Covid-19 pandemic, as his spokeswoman told Carlson.

“As Democrats took over they started changing the House around,” McCarthy told Doocy.

Democrats won majority control in the House two years ago. So it is not clear how a reconfiguration of offices then led to McCarthy stay with Luntz more recently.

“Yeah, I rented a room from Frank for a couple of months, but don’t worry, I’m going back to where I am normally ... back to the couch in my office,” McCarthy told Doocy.

I decided to watch some cable last night and see what fox was saying.

Sorry but Hannity is just terrible these days. I couldn't stand listening to him. He whistles all his s's and it is very irritating.

Anyway, they were talking about if enough people get tired of it and walk out of the proceedings, it would lower the threshold needed for a win. Or something like that.

Maybe that is the plan. Have enough people walk out of the chamber, they can get their votes...
