Conservatives announce new campaign slogan: “You Think You’re Better Than Me?!”

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

OTTAWA   – The Conservative Party of   Canada   announced its campaign slogan for the next election will be “ You   think you’re better than me?!”

“Nothing encapsulates the current state of Conservative   politics   better than an angry, grammatically flawed invective against an unseen Liberal who the first person feels is   acting   all superior,” said party leader and well-known everyman   Pierre Poilievre .

“I wanted to add ‘you purple haired libturd traitor’ but the party brass thought that was a bit too long.”

The slogan beat out other potential options like ‘we’ll buy you a house (don’t ask how)’ ‘Triggered much?!’ and ‘I’m scared of change and unfamiliar things so I take comfort in believing that I’m actually a proud defender of a glorious past when things were better even though I don’t really know when that time was’.

“I like ‘you think you’re better than me,” said   CPC   supporter Burt Cafferty. “It’s easy to remember since I already yell it at people who drive electric   cars   every day.”

The   NDP   have announced their campaign slogan will be “we’re here too.” The   Green Party   have gone for “climate change will kill us all. But it might do it slower if you vote Green.” The   Liberals   haven’t announced their slogan yet but promised to get to it after they take a big sip of coffee and look at the latest polling numbers.

Liberals counter with their own new slogan:

” I know you are but what am I?”

I think they should have kept ‘you purple haired libturd traitor’.

So do I, it would go well with the 2025 frayed bungee jump the Liberal Party will perform.

IMO Canadian politics is a satire all by itself these days.

Right.  I guess Mr. Webster felt that Americans could handle our language only if he made it easier for them.

At least nobody has ever berated me or tried to correct me for using correct English.  But I'm not perfect - I do tend to make typos now and then - I learned how to touch type in high school and sometimes the middle finger on my right hand has a mind of its own and you will see the odd unnecessary "i" in the middle of a word once in a while.  I don't use CHAT but only reply to others because my waning vision prevents me from seeing what I'm typing since the font is so tiny and along the lines of not being able to ride a bicycle and chew gun at the same time it's hard to type and hold a magnifying glass at the same time..
