The Resistance

The Resistance
"We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result. And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before," James said. "We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again because, as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."

The resistance is already back. The day after the election we heard from the leftist women of the view, all of them dressed in black:

“I am profoundly disturbed,” said The View’s Sunny Hostin on Wednesday, “that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution did not prevent someone who participated in an insurrection from becoming president of the United States.”

“I’m surprised at the result, but I’m not surprised,” Hostin added. “As a woman of color, I was so hopeful that a mixed-race woman married to a Jewish guy could be elected president of this country, and I think that it had nothing to do with policy. I think this was a referendum of cultural resentment in this country.”

Here Are the Corporate Media Meltdowns You’ve Been Waiting For | Restoring Liberty

On the same day CNN’s Van Jones acknowledged America's rejection of identity politics when he said, “It’s not the elites that are going to pay the price,” Jones said. “It’s people who woke up this morning with a dream and are going to bed with, with a nightmare.”

What was truly reminiscent of 2016 were those determined to resist Trump's clear mandate and the will of the American people. The woman who ran on getting Trump and used a preposterous case against him declared she would continue to fight against him:

"We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result. And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before," James said. "We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again because, as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."

Letitia James: Trump Hater and malicious manipulator of the law.

On November 26th another Trump hater, judge Juan Merchan will make a decision of whether to actually imprison a newly elected President or walk away from a decision that would mark Merchan for what he truly is. He has a way out now. Will he take it? Or does he hate Trump that much?

Then we have the Governor of the migrant state of California. He also hates Trump, and he has a presidential dream of his own. He survived a recall not long ago, thanks to the rally call of Barack Obama. He is another who lies & schemes with impunity.

Gavin Newsom: Radical leftist Governor of California

Newsom in an obvious grandstanding move called California's legislature back for a special session to "pass protections for civil liberties, reproductive rights and climate action “in the face of an incoming Trump administration.”

These Trump hating maniacs were just like those who used hoax's, federal judges and never Trump Republicans to obstruct Trump policies the last time around. Things are much different now. There won't be the Republican never Trumpers in important positions in congress. President Trump is likely to have a faithful Republican congress. They already won back the Senate and are seven seats away from a House majority and appear to be poised to achieve that. Twenty-five races have not been called. There won't be the leaders of the FBI who were caught in frivolous investigations based on a hoax.

Most of all, I want everyone to think about this: A two term President gets most of what he wants done in the first two years of his first term. Trump didn't get two consecutive terms. This term will be like a second first term, only this time Trump knows how everything works and where all the traps are.

In the news:

Attackers wounded at least 10 Israeli citizens in antisemitic violence tied to a soccer game between a Dutch and Israeli team in Amsterdam, officials said.

The Chinese government approved a $1.4 Trillion plan to revive the economy.

Australia moved to ban children under 16 from social media.

In states like Arizona and Nevada, some voters split their tickets, supporting both abortion rights measures and Trump.

London Breed, San Francisco’s first Black female mayor, lost to a more moderate democrat, Daniel Lurie, an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune who pledged to make the streets of San Fransisco safe.

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a House Democrat who’s criticized her party for condescending to working-class voters, won re-election in a red district

Good morning.

08themorning-nl-wiles-mgzv-jumbo.jpg

Trump chose the bright & tough Susie Wiles, who helped to run his campaign, to be his White House chief of staff. She’s the first woman to hold the role. She is respected by Republicans and democrats alike and is one of those strong intelligent women that Mark Cuban referred to.

BTW She is also the daughter of the late NFL player & broadcaster Pat Summerall. (I'm dedicated to bringing you all the facts.)

It will be interesting to see how quickly a Trump administration thoroughly corrupts and disillusions this poor woman.

This appointment is obviously an attempt to project "normality".  Of course his mob doesnt want normality so Susies time in the oval office will be fleeting.

One of the most predictable post election reactions is MAGAs like the writer of the seed musing quizzically about the "resistance".   MAGA weirdos dont know enough about integrity, honor and decency so they are a little perturbed when they see it in others.

Like the just criminal cases against Trump will disappear , not because he's innocent (no one , including Trump, ever claims he didnt actually do the dirty deeds), his followers also expect the "resistance" will disappear. Sorry, there are still enough patriotic Americans left to object to a Trump presidency.

"Don't you want America to succeed?"

Of course, but trumpism is not America.

If this is the decision he has to make, the investigation, the trial, and its verdict were never about the rule of law.  Much like James' train wreck.

Using KJP to be the public defender of  the administration heading into an election was a massive unforced error that probably doesn’t get enough attention. Her unique combination of incompetence and dishonesty that led to so many viral moments that made the admin look so bad really undermined people’s belief in the basic competence of the administration.   The reporting makes clear that this was recognized early on but identity politics made her untouchable.  She was a threefer.

I'm afraid it's more than grandstanding, in Newsom's case. This guy gets it. I don't think he will let a perfectly good "disaster" go to waste so, instead, use it to force more legislation that ordinarily wouldn't pass or be hard to swallow, all under the umbrella of "fighting back". It will be for "the people's" own good and protection after all.

Let her rot on whatever leftist show that decides to hire her.

She is done as a Republican and Conservative; and the Democrats will soon tire of her after Trump is out of office in four years.

She has damaged the Cheney name far more than her father did; which is saying a lot.

Now both the left and right hate them. That is a real accomplishment.
